I've had android "SRMix_3D_Data++HBOOT_V1.8.2_signed" on my desire
and I tried to install a script for data2ext and reinstall that rom again
so it did install and keeps give me error in installing
so I've tried another version from the same rom supporting data2ext and after the installation the mobile did not start will and gives me that the mobile memory is full
so I've tried to wipe all mobile data and formatted everything on the mobile and when installing any rom (if I could install) still gives me that the memory is full and cannot see what made the memory that full and I cannot operate on my mobile
by the way I've tried a patch to move delvik data before installing any rom
and I tried to install s-off again and cannot (mine no is s-off)
so what can I do to clear that memory thing and install another GB rom and would be great to install a data2ext
I recommend supernova extreme. All you need is ext4, and you don't need s off. Stable and fast.
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda premium
I dont know if the problem is in a rom
the problem as I stated b4 is that when I install any rom even 2.2 or 2.3 keeps telling me the memory is full
and I've used a zip file to move delvik, maybe it is the problem
anyway I will try the supernova rom
update
I've installed supernova extreme and after reboot it stuck on s-off screen
cannot operate on my HTC desire
any ideas?
hello there
any solution there?
I don't get your problem... What's your recovery ? You can clear everything in recovery, wipe all and install proper ROM for example Ginger Villain. If your ROM doesn't work, it must be you forgot to read their requirement, check it again and flash it again
If you want S-OFF to install other Hboot, try http://revolutionary.io/. If got any error, post it here so we can troubleshoot.

Definitely sounds like a data issue. I really don't know what you've done here. How does it respond without SD card in?

I've tried removing the sd card and gave me the exact results
what I've done is to install those files
- flashable_hboot_D2EXT+427.zip
- Move-Dalvik-to-sdext.zip

Think we need to S-off and flash custom recovery now. Then we can do some checks in adb as to what is on /data. Possibly delete it, or format /data via recovery.
What PVT version does it say in hboot?
Hi
i couldnt find an answer so am posting this thread.
i have just updated my hboot to alpharev cmr2. i then did a data wipe and then installed the runnymede 3.0.5 from clockwork mod. I chose to use apps2sd+ rather than xsd+
The issue that I have is that when I'm using the phone i keep getting '
'the process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly'
Can someone advise where I've gone wrong?
Thanks in advance
manny
Maybe this helps : go back into recovery and wipe cache and dalvik cache > reboot.

If you are on cm7r2 Hboot, select XD2SDX script during install. Reflash ROM after full wipe and see what happens.
Hope this helps.
i have same problem too..
on first opening my phone android process error giving.
but after second reboot that error doesn't give again but you will have extra problem with this way. when you open your market and upgrade your apss you will get same error on facebook twitter or etc...
i tried several ways but theese are don't work. (reflash, wipe etc...)
i haven't solved my problem yet. i am on researching, please write if you find answer. i will write too if i find answer.
I may be being silly but I cant find the option to disable the fast boot under settings > applications or manage applications
I rebooted via rom manager into recovery and chose to wipe cache partition
Rebooted the phone and I'm still getting the issue (slightly less often than before)
So is the only option left to reflash the rom?
reflash rom will not solve your problem. because it didn't solve of mine.
ok this is what i found.
I left the hboot as it is from the recent update - alpharev cmr2.
I had a backup image of miui rom on another sd card which i smaller (8gb) and i believe formatted to ext2 using the rom manager.
I did a restore of this miui rom and all appears to be fine - no force close messages. I then took the 8gb sd card out and replaced it with the new 16gb sd card which i believe should be partitioned as ext4 (i used gparted). When I've started the phone using this card, it comes up with the force close errors.
Now this is the same card i was using when flashing runnymede.
Does anyone think its an issue with the memory card?
Thanks
Manny

First: DO NOT USE ROM MANAGER! It's a horrible software which causes more problems than it solves.
Second: To wipe dalvik-cache you have to use the extra option in recovery. This cache is not stored in /cache partition. So your dalvik-cache is still "unwiped". After wiping it your FCs should be away.
I've got an HTC Desire GSM, previously on 7.0.0 RC recently updated to 7.1 STABLE, but have a problem with android market, loads of apps are coming up as “Your device is not compatible with this item” when I try and update them.
If I try to install anything new, same problem.
I've never changed the pixel density and I've tried clearing the android market data and cache, no change.
Also tried android market enabler app, still no fix.
Any ideas/suggestions? or is this a known issue?
have changed your HBOOT? I think that problem is due to the memory partition to just let r2 CM7 cache sometimes causes this error .... has a solution .... look in the search ....

Yes, I'm using bravo_alphaspl-cm7r2.img
I've been hunting through search results for a few days but am overwhelmed by the number of results that come back talking about pixel density... will retry searching for HBOOT related answers...

Market reports that any application I try to apply an update is incompatible.
Market does not list *any* new applications to install...
Some searching suggests that I need apps2sd setup... so I was looking to install e2s... but I'd need the apk for that... and I can't install anything from market... fun fun fun.
Managed to find the apk somewhere, E2S installed and running... it's made no difference
If you try to login to the web version of the market, what device does it say you have? It's an odd issue to have.
Hmm, you're on to something there... when I log in my phone isn't listed... what could be causing that?
Just to clarify, the account lists all the applications I have installed (under my orders/my library).
When I go "My Devices" it just says "There are no Android devices associated with this account."
When you said you updated to 7.1 stable version did you flash it on top of your existing rom or did you make a full wipe?

Looks like a sync issue. Try to clear data for the market app and login again and see if that fixes it. Otherwise a full wipe and install is all that's left to do if you haven't yet.

So just to be clear, the procedure for a full wipe and install would be:
1) Perform nandroid backup
2) Format the system, data & cache partitions
3) Perform a factory reset
4) Flash CM7.1
5) Flash the Google Apps zip package.
6) Restore nandroid backup

everything ok, except step 6!! DON'T restore ur nandroid..it restore everything (system and rom, data, apps, setting, sms, etc)..
if u restore it, its like if u never flashed cm7....restore ur nandroid only in case u want go back to ur previous rom if u don't like cm7
so after flash cm and the google apps, reboot ur phone (first boot may take a 5 minuts) and setup the rom..google account, apps from market, etc
if u like to restore ur apps (even sms and bookmarks for example) u can use titanium backup or other apps to restore a previous backup of these things
One more thing if you already wiped system, cache and dalvik then you wouldn't be able to boot to perform a factory reset. Unless I'm confused or didn't understand steps 2 and 3.

Got it, that was what I was thinking of, apologies for confusion.
I'll do titanium backup first and restore once the cleanup and flashing of CM71 is done.
try build.prop
Paste the build.prop in system folder. Then clear data of Google Services Framework from settings/applications/manage applications..... Restart phone...
this might not work on some roms and might corrupt the rom....
but u can always reflash it.... it worked with most of my roms...
after this ur phone vll be indentified as desire hd on the market...
Link for build.prop-http://www.4shared.com/file/t3ZbNHHk/build.html
So I tried flashing the rom and then restoring the backup wholesale... That caused the same issues to reoccur.
Tried flashing again and this time am restoring the backup one app+data at a time.
So far everything's working fine.
Many thanks to all that have helped with this.
Hi all.
I have a giant problem with runnymede aio, using regular coolexe a2sd script.
In beginning there was dalvik on nand and my space went low.
So i flashed a zip coolexe provided on rom thread to modify a2sd to move dalvik on sdext.
All went fine and now on data i have 200MB free.
But my phone keeps warning me about low space and it won't sync nothing.
Giant problem cause i'm not reciving mails!!!
Please help!
EDIT: already tried to clear dlavik a nd cache again and again.... also tried fix permissions but no luck
EDIT2: just tried to restore the nandroid i took before moving dalvik cause i can't live without syncronizations, mail on top, now i have again 34 MB free and dalvik on nand. But i'm still stucked with low space notification and no sync!
Tried a fsck on sdext and all is ok!
I really need some help guys!

My first question is why did you flash some other a2sd script when you have a few fully working to choose in AROMA while installing AIO rom?
The second: which hboot do you have and what script did you choose in AROMA while installing?
But my recomendation is to download special edition with int2sd, flash cm7r2 hboot and inslall int2sd-s version cause it's a rock solid with performance.
Plus I'm preety sure you haven't found coolexe script in Seb's thread so you probably got the issue because of it.

I was not installing the rom. I have it installed since months. My problem was low space so i searched the rom thread to a solution for moving the dalvik to sdext. I found this flashable zip that is provided by seb as an addon (so IT IS from the rom thread) that is supposed to modify the 40a2sd init.d script with a symlink for dalvik to sdext.
So i booted in recovery, took a nandroid, cleared dalviuk, flashed the zip and rebooted.
All went fine since at reboot i had 196 MB free, so clearly the dalvik was moved in the right place.
But i have this strange problem with low space notification and syncs disabled.
Finally i relaized that if i clear the notification and disable and enable auto sync from "accounts and sync" the device start syncing again. But i have to do this after every reboot since the notification come back.
Int2sd is not an option for me at this moment since i just can't set up a new rom. Too many data apps ecc to backup and restore. I use this phone as my main device.
The script was written by coolexe and then posted by seb. You can check addons in aio thread if you don't believe me.

I understood you have it installed for months, but not sure why you didn't upgrade it on time. Anyway I still think that you cqn reflash a brand new version of rom and restore all of your data. I know it's a pain in the ass but it's the only way to have a stable rom with no bugs on it.
A assume you have cm7 hboot so I think that your problem is with cache partition since it is too small to support some tasks, and it's causing the issue because of the script you used.

Hi Guys! I've got a problem in flashing PARANOIDANDROID ROM Port by Yasir.
Every time I try to install the ROM i get this error after few minutes:
Creating symlinks
Symlink: some symlinks failed
E: Error in /sdcard/PARANOID... .zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
I'm using latest 4EXT touch recovery, JellyHboot as recommended, already tried with full wipe, SD format ( also EXT etc...);
I thought it could be a bad download so downloaded again and got same error.. The strange thing is that I get this error ONLY when i try to flash PARANOID ROM.. With the other AOSP (CM9, 10) , SENSE ROM i don't get any error, just flash fine... so, what can I do!?
Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english!
that happened to me the first time, all i did was after wipe/factory reset, wipe cache + dalvik then format all partitions except sdcard n it worked. strange coz i do that anyway but with that rom i had to do it twice.

I also tried to flash it on Stock Hboot, just for try..nothing! Really strange.. By the way thanks again!
