Anyone know of any FM Radio apps that uses the headphones as antenna? Not completely happy with the HTC Android stock app. Not looking for a streaming online app.

Not sure if the hardware is capable of transmitting (as opposed to receiving) FM signals...anyone know?
I was thinking an app could be developed to transmit music over car radio via FM.

Hey everyone! So is there a way to broadcast your music to the radio on a certain frequency? The galaxy has an fm radio so is it possible to broadcast the music as well?

I wouldn't think so as an fm transmitter is not mentioned anywhere on the specs sheet.
all we have on our galaxy is an fm receiver, unlike, for example, the n86, which has a transceiver and can transmit music to a radio. (though the range is pretty short)

Try Tune-in radio from the market. You can stream most FM stations, hd stations and satellite stations.
Do you BONSAI?
At this time, there is no working "app" for the FM Radio, mainly because the internal FM Radio chip has not been able to be turned on via the android software
As recommended above, Tune-In Radio is the current work around, but it is streaming
Netflix works on the 2.3 Gingerbread leaks without any additional modification necessary, but has not been modded to work on 2.2, seems to be a security/library issue, not something with the apk itself
Ok thanks guys yeah I'm currently using tune in radio. But thanks for the info.

I dont know.
Im trying to figure out how to use fm radio too..
Is there fm radio hardware in it?
Like XM/Serius? Or like Pandora?
You need constant data for using radio app from internet.
fm radio itself doesnt, and it is missing in this smartphone.
As far as I know only HTC devices have FM radio. Download tunein radio or something

As for FM, no.. it does not have a receiver.
As for Satellite.. um.... No... lol
Just use iheartradio or pandora. You do need data access.
I'm using Android 4.4.1 (Omni-Rom) now on e975 and everythings working good. Even camera focusses in low light with flash.
Only thing is the missing FM Radio.
Has anybody a working FM Radio or nows how to make it going?
Use TuneIn radio or Spirit Fm

Thank you, but Tunein is for online radio and Spirit FM does not seem to work with newest Smoocha kernel. Maybe I will try another kernel like faust93.

It's only a kernel thing. Spirit FM works if the kernel has Fm enabled. So you have to talk to the kernel maker for this . Most of them don't have it enabled and i saw no interest in including it. Maybe you are more persuasive.
