This is not a VGA adapter it's composite! And it's for first 7" galaxy tab.
There is no VGA adapter for Samsung tablets! If you want video out of 8.9, 10.1 etc you need Samsung to -> HDMI adapter which you can get on eBay for around $50.00.

Hello everyone,
I just got my new 10.1v and was wandering where I could find an hdmi adopter.
Is there a docking station with hdmi out or something?
Thanks a lot

I think we'll have to wait for the 10.1 and have to hope that the accesoires are compatible
All of the cables from the original Galaxy Tab work with the 10.1v (according to a Samsung rep in Australia), including the composite video out. Hopefully this means the cables for the 10.1 will work with the 10.1v too.
thanks guys,
probably stupid question, but do you know when these cables will be available for the 'original' tab?

I think they are already available and have been for some time.
Anyway, it looks like an HDMI adaptor for the 10.1 is on its way:
http://samsung.mobilefulfilment.com...ct.aspx?ProductVariantId=FC276A98D9D5458B820F
I would bet these work fine with the 10.1v - though until they are released, we won't know for sure.
Will the 30 pin one from the Galaxy Tab 7 work?
Just got my Tab 7 inch HDMI dock in the post today - can confirm it works with the I/O 10.1 Tab
...there is already a youtube video from someone else showing this working, so search there if my good word is not enough for you!
Was just playing some Mario Kart 64 with my Datel Retro Wireless controller on my 42 inch television. Nice!
Galaxy TAB 10.1 HDMI
Hi
Do you need to do any setup?
I have connect the HDMI connector for 10.1 to my tablet and connect the HDMI to my TV and could not see any signal
Any idea?
You have to plug the usb/ac cable to the adapter and power source to work. Just the adapter and HDMI cable doesn't work.

Hi
I found the following cable in DealExtream:
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/premiu...ble-for-samsung-p1000-black-134cm-cable-81876
AFAIK, Galaxy Tab 10.1 Connector is pin compatible to Galaxy Tab (7"),
do you think this cable will work also with Galaxy Tab 10.1?
99% chance of rain. Even though the 30pin connector will go into the unit. From my understanding, the only video out on the 10.1 is HDMI but no one yet knows how.
anyone tried this yet? Would be great to use with old CRT TV's!
According to the Samsung site its not compatible.
Here
Ordered this cable for my GT10.1 and received it yesterday, it doesn't work there's no video output.
But! There is audio output...
Yes you will get audio but no video. Only way to get video is hdmi adapter.

It's MHL. You need a MHL to HDMI chip. There are generic micro usb to hdmi ones you can buy then wire up to the pins in connector. Those cost $7.99 at cheapest and the connector is going to cost you $4.99 unless you gut an existing one and move the pins around
Have u try to connect it not in color code order... try it..

I have the samsung official Composite cable, and I can confirm that it is not compatible.

I brought a USB data/charger for p1000 and they work fine with my p7510.
Charging and USB device are compatible.
Not sure about USB host.
Fairly certain HDMI is not.

I'm reusing my Tab 7" charger and cables just fine. USB connection to computer works 100%, and the Tab 7" stock charger actually charges the 10.1 (looks to be the exact same 2A charger).
Nice to know thanks ... i will order a p1000 USB cable /charger, they are much cheaper
I am pretty sure too that it is not the same HDMI/USB converters

Saw a video of a guy using his Tab 7 HDMI dock with a 10.1 after he removed the plastic guide. No cable mods were needed.
I'm having problem with my 8.4. It is rooted on stock.
I can't get MHL to work, I tested the cable on my SII and it works fine. I don't know what's wrong with it.
carefully check connector pin count

From pictures on Ebay the charge+ port on the S2 has 7 pins in line. For sure, the microUSB port on the 8.4 has one row of 5 plus another row of 6. Thats 11 pins. The plug might fit in the hole, but it ain't goin' work.
There are a couple HDMI adapters for the 8.4 that do work fine. See the thead under accessories.
MHL cable layout changed from the Galaxy S3 onwards. The cable I bought after the change has worked on all my Samsung devices since. They are cheap as chips on ebay.
11 pin adapter
I have the newer MHl to HDMI along with 11 pin adapter and still MHL not working
Hi can anyone help? I'm trying to find a HDMI adapter for my tab s2. Samsung recommends the et-h10fauweguj adapter but I've read I need the et-h10fauwegww adapter.has anybody tried any of these and did they work? I've heard aswell that the aspect ratio doesn't quite fit the TV so it has black Bars around the picture. Is that true. Thanks in advance. Mark

I got a fake one that works with Note 4. If it works with Note 4, it will work with the Tab S2. It's also true that you'll see black bars, but if you root and change the device resolution it will work perfectly, but you need to root.

My unofficial adapter outputs low resolution 4:3 picture to my 1080p displays, I'm rooted and would love to figure out how to get the appropriate AR/resolution working!

Worked for me. Good Luck!
MicroUSB to HDMI
I have a Galaxy Tab S2 (SM-T815NZWENEE ) which I am trying to connect it to a TV with an HDMI cable.
I have the ET-H10FAUWESTA (original Samsung) MicroUSB - HDMI adapter and when I plug in a HDMI-VGA adapter, I can display screen through a projector.
As soon as I plug in a HDMI cable instead of the VGA adaptor and connected it to a TV there was no picture.
I looked at Chromecast or other wifi dependent methods is not an option
Any ideas?

@pmenzies ... I connect my Chromecast directly to the TV with HDMI connector. Works perfectly with my S2 T810.

I think the Tab S2 don't have the MHL connection as the Note 4 (look in the Specs at the Connectivity topic) .
My Note 4 works but my new TaB A 10.1 doesn't. With MHL feature you can connect your MicroUSB - HDMI adapter and plug in the TV. To connect the Tab S2 mostly use the Chromecast device or Ezcast device (Miracast).
WiFi Direct could work with some smart TVs.
Edit: Surprise me that http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_tab_s2_9_7-7438.php shows : USB microUSB v2.0 (MHL TV-out)
But Samsung web site doesn't show MHL in specs like it shows for Note 4 smartphone.

How do you do this ?
Plase let us know, this would add so much more functionality to the tab.
