Just thought I would post here..
Just purchased a Black Metal Battery Cover for my phone..
Always wanted to buy one, cause I thought it would add more of a "premium" feel, (add some weight to the device) and just think the Stock one is to flimsy..
Just ordered it online from ebay.. Will post my findings when I receive it..
If anyone has already ordered and received this, please feel free to post in the thread.. I am interested to know how the phone feels and looks after..
Thanks!

Looks good!!!

Please do, these look great!
I am thinking about ordering one of these too. On the page as we speak lol
New ebay listing here:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Metal-Bac...ain_0&var=&hash=item721838e116#ht_1640wt_1396
So if anyone already has one can you tell us how it is? Is the cover actually metal or is it just finished plastic? This is affect whether I buy it or not...
looks good. but if its metal, clipping it on might damage the device.
plus the cover is only for the original battery, those with 2000 mah battery will not be able to fit it.
I ordered one last too, the blue one cause I thought it looked quite smart.
I'll post pictures once I get it, which should be within a couple of weeks hopefully!
Looks good. <3
They will be the most beautiful effect on my S2
Will definitely post my experience once I receive it. I heard it makes the device a bit thicker. I saw a short review on YouTube.
If this is the case, I am totally fine with it since I have the extended 2000mah battery coming in any day now.

Anyone of you received your new cover yet? Interested to see how it looks and the quality of the cover....
I ordered mine from here http://www.trait-tech.com/product/T-SAMI9100-9012J__all-aluminium-back-cover-back-housing-for-samsung-i9100-galaxy-s2-black.html
I ordered on Nov. 19 and it took 10 days to arrive to Vancouver from Singapore. Could've use Hong Kong Post (14-20 days) but SingPost can deliever within 7-20 days.
The aluminum metal back creates a premium look and feel. Also add some weight and slight thickness to the phone that make it more sturdy in the hand compared to the original plastic back. There's chrome around the camera and also around the edge of the whole metal back. It's pretty good eye candy.

I'm using an unlocked Samsung Galaxy SII running Gingerbeard 2.3.4 (brought from expansys.ca, the unit is from the UK) and I am only using the stock 1650 mAh battery.
i have buy one from http://www.leboncoin.fr/telephonie/263002771.htm?ca=12_s
it's perfect like the original one
But do you think it will be safer?
(phone might break; metal => more inflexible?)
Interested to hear you opinions
Mine came in this morning and fits perfect. Love it!
I read in another thread someone said they had issues with GPS with this back on, I have none, it locks in just as fast as with the plastic one.
looks amazing, i'll buy one of this.

Thanked your post and added it to the op
i dont understand what happened?
the $55 price is for the sprint battery plus two covers no?
from the thread title I thought the op was selling or linking to someone selling just the battery covers?
i'm interested in one for myself. right now I try to avoid using the extended battery just so i can use the sexy white look, since I bought the white backing and battery cover (for oem battery though) from ebay.
question to OP: are you selling or know who's selling these? do they match the OEM white backing like the OEM white battery cover?

iv got a similar type back. Made a review
Sorry to ask, but what is the use of such a back cover?
To make it feel more premium and heavyer so its better in the hand? Because it adds no protection at all for the screen.
i bought a silver one right now
when it arrives i will let you know
estimated arrivel nov 29th

Judging by the looks of it, it curves up at the bottom like the stock battery cover, so I doubt it will fit a 2000mah battery.
Loving the look on this cover, I'll probably get one in a few days.
I bought this cover few days ago from here:

The seller was trustworthy enough, item arrived to Ireland after a week or so,
I'm very happy with it

The phone not only feels but in fact is heavier (compared to stock plastic cover, didn't weigh the phone though) and the back doesn't seem to attract fingerprints, but since I use SGP Case Ultra Capsule as well nobody can see the difference in style
It's solid enough and fits very well, easy to attach. Worth the money
Thanks! I'll be buying one for sure now.
It seems a bit thicker than the stock battery cover.
Is it just me or does it stick out 1mm or so?

Where can I find this battery on Mexico?
Thank you.
100$ just for a battery? gimme a break.
just buy some power adapter....
Apart from the high price (overestimated?) i think the problem would be finding a new silicon, TPU case that fits the new-shaped phone (my gs2 cannot live without it). This mugen battery seems enormous.
I wonder why samsung keeps making phones thinner and thinner and can't understand that people care more about battery life than thickness. With some mm. in addition, galaxy s2 would last longer and have a better grip, in my opinion.

Everyone knows mugen. They're pretty known for their extended battery solutions. Even though they abuse the whole price thing...
2000 mAh is good for me
İs this so heavy?
Sounds nice, but the price is exactly one fourth the price i paid for new sg2 !

FYI, There are no TPU cases for it, but this battery comes with a leather case that is quite thick and gives reasonable protection.
i'd really like to have one of those....but the price is just too high
yeah, the price is killing me softely
.. also this big size of the battery.. is killing me too..
but the time of phone works keeps me still alive
been looking for one for my D710 S2 that doesnt make it super ugly, got a 2500 MHZ one but it didnt make a difference and it was slightly too think and i had to file the metal case down on the battery with a belt sander..... so i may see if they make one for mt SII
In real use, how much of a difference would it make? I have my stock battery, which lasts through the day (16-18 hours) with moderate use. Would this give me like double right away? And yeah, expensive indeed.
Greetings.
Wow
Hello,
I am using a galaxy S2 with the Samsung official extended battery back (and the plastic cover that came with it).
I would like if to replace the cover, but I cannot find any website selling a replacement cover for this battery.
I am looking for 2000mAh version of theses things.
I am looking for something in metal, black metal, carbon fiber style, matte black or grey.
I live in France, so an european reseller would be prefered.
Thank you
First up you dont wont a metal back cover as this will block your GPS thats id you use it..
As for a replacement extended back cover there used to be a dealer on ebay Had one sent out to La Reunion some time ago.
Also there are some bummers that have a cut out to allow for extended battery..
Nyssa1104 is right, please don't go for metal back cover, you may end up blocking your GPS and eventually other connectivity issues may rise up. I was searching for the same thing today and luckily I found that it blocks your GPS transmission, thanks to the bloggers
Thank you for your answers. I will give up the metal!
I am still looking for a non metal one that is less slippery than the original one (something matte or with a carbon fiber-like coating).
So any link for this product would be appreciated!
why don't u try with carbon fibre look 3d vinyl sticker? it should be less slippery then.

Simply put, you cannot buy a custom battery cover for the extended 2000mAh battery. It's not mainstream enough to have one made for it. What you can do is what caliber2001 suggested. I have one as well, and I have done it to my S2's extended battery cover. Plus, it doesn't block your GPS signal!

Thank you very much, the matte carbon fiber sticker is a gret idea!
Don't use metal battery cover!
I have brushed metal battery door and metal draco design bumper and...No GPS signal! It was fine before I got the battery door.
So the metal battery cover is quite good at blocking your GPS.

I have already sold my SII along with the battery and case, so I can't take any more pictures of it. However, you can check out my other thread that has some pictures in it.
I received mine yesterday, the back cover is really nice and fits perfectly. The camera now rest protected and slightly indented in the cover. Probably this was the original S2 design at start, they changed for a thinner and lighter phone.
Dunno about performance yet. I use my phone a lot every day, so we'll see.
Yeah, I thought that as well. The battery cover is sturdier, and the whole phone has a uniform thickness, making the speaker/antenna area flush with the phone. Why didn't Samsung release the SII with a 2000mAh battery in the first place? My guess is that they wanted to compete with the iPhone 4's thinness at the time. If only smartphone manufacturers knew that anyone would prefer a phone with good battery life over one that feels like it's going to break easily.
Just got the Samsung extended battery for my gs3. took almost 2 weeks for shipment from UK.
Awesome thing is that my existing case, which i got from Spring when i bought the phone, fit. Its a very tight fit, but it does fit. Battery is slightly heavier and the phone is slightly bulkier, but still feels nice. I will test out the battery for a few days and see how it performs, the results will be posted here.

The difference is 2-3mm. Its very minimal. So small that I can fit the case I bought for the phone with original battery. The case is hard rubber, but does stretch just a little.

Ya, I was in the woods collecting stuff.
What day did you order and what shipping did you use?
It would be interesting that somebody be brave enough to disassemble the battery to see how much plastic is added.
I seen in Galaxy Nexus forum how someone disassembled extended original battery and it was filled with plastic, not the actual lithium ions. That battery fitted original cover.

I emailed 1800 Memory, one of the ebay sellers ([email protected]) about the kit in Titanium Grey yesterday and this was the response:
"Only White, Blue and Sapphire Black colors have been released.
Currently only White and Blue colors are in stock.
