voice mail - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

I can't seem to get voice mail. It appears to be sms related. I get a notification from my sms saying I have voice mail and dial this #. Well, that doesn't work. Anyone else have this happen and know a fix. I am running GoSms.
Never mind, figured it out.

Evo Voicemail setup

Ok before says that there is a thread out there I searched and searched for the answer or something related to my problem.
Quick Reference:
1) Upgraded to KingsRom (latest version)
2) Setup Google Voice mail
3) Not receiving voice mail alerts
4) Want to set the Sprint Visual Voice mail app back up
I had CM7 and I updated to the Kingsrom ( Gingerbread Rom), I had Google Voice as the voice mail in CM7 but had the same problem. Now if someone was to call me I wouldn't get the call but they would be sent to my voice mail. When I log into my Gmail I see the notification that someone left me a VMail, but I don't see it on my phone. So now I want to switch it back to the Visual Voice Mail system and leave as that. I went into the setting for Google Voice and switched it back to my phone but it is still not sending callers to the voicemail. It still goes to the Googlevoice inbox.
Somone please help me figure this out cause I have important calls that I need to respond if they leave a voicemail.
P.S. Also I notice that people call but it doesn't show up as a call, if they leave a message it will show up in the Goggle Voice Inbox.

[Q] "Reject Call and Text Message" with Google Voice

So I'm really loving ICS and all its glory. I do have a question that I'd like to pose.
I am using Google Voice with a Galaxy Nexus on VZW, all is well in terms of making/receiving calls and text messages through the app. I did have a weird setup issue where I had to verify the phone through a phone call and not a text message. Weird, but it didn't stop it from working.
My problem is that when someone calls, with ICS you get the choice to reject the call and send a text message. The problem is that it the text message source is from the phone number on the device itself (which I dont give out), NOT my Google Voice number.
Is this a known issue or has anyone else since this? Maybe this is something we can look forward to in CM9?
I'm surprised this isn't more commonly requested. I only use my GV number for texts and don't subscribe to an SMS package, so I'd like to see this as well.

[Q] Text Message Not Sent

If I send a text message from the default messaging app, I get a "Text Message Not Sent" message, and if someone sends me a message, instead of showing up with their name, it has a number I don't recognize, but their name will be appended to the message. I don't have these issues if I use Google Voice.
I KNOW it has something to do with GV settings, but I've tried everything I can think of to reset it, including clear data on both apps, uninstall and reinstall of GV. I even tried changing radios. I really do NOT want to do a factory reset. I suppose I can use the rather anemic GV app for texts, but if someone texts my "real" phone number, I think I won't get notified of it.
Is there some setting I'm missing, or some third-party app that can unify texting across both numbers?
Wait now... So first off, when someone texts you, they're sending it to your Google Voice number?
And when you send texts out, which number are you trying to use?
The first part of troubleshooting here is to go into Google Voice settings and tell it to not receive texts via the Messaging app. If you're going to be using only your GV # for SMS, just use the Google Voice app. Don't have it forward to your Messaging app it just causes problems (like random #'s as you've seen).
It keeps things simple. When you get an SMS to your Messaging app, you know it was sent to your carrier #. You reply and it comes from your carrier #.
When you get an SMS in your GV app, you know it came to your GV # and when you reply it comes from your GV #.
This really is the simplest way to manage it if you want to be able to use both your carrier # and the GV #.
Regardless, GV should never get in the way and prevent you from sending texts from the Messaging app.
The problem is that it doesn't matter what I have the GV app set to. I still can't send texts from my messaging app. Even if i uninstall GV, i still can't send texts from my messaging app.

I think you're having a separate issue. In all of my time using Google Voice in different configurations there's nothing that has stopped my stock Messaging app from sending and receiving SMS to my carrier #.

[Resolved]Google voice mail not working?

So I installed Google voice to use their visual voice mail, and found that it installs fine, sets it as the default VM in the phones call settings, but when I received a call, tmo voice mail gets the redirect. I can't seem to figure this out. Anyone have a clue on this?

Bump... Anyone?
It's not just GV either, any of the market visual voicemail apps are not working either.
Any ideas?
You did go to http://voice.google.com and actually enable Voice on your line, right?
Interesting enough, that was the issue. I had google voice installed on my previous MT4G and it was all automated and worked fine before, but now that I'm on jellybean it said the install was fine but it never would trip over to GV, but now after re-registering the phone in my google voice settings, it worked.
Thanks for that.

[Q] Google Voice *Not* Going Straight To Voicemail

I'm having a problem with Google Voice. It seems to be ignoring the setting for unanswered calls going "Straight to voicemail" as opposed to ringing other phones. Callers (when they call my real carrier #) will hear 10+ rings before getting to GV VM. I've resorted to going back to carrier VM because of the excessive rings.
It seems like GV is ignoring the setting and ringing my other "phones", even though I have no additional ones listed and unchecked the Google Chat forwarding.
I've tried deleting my phone from the list and re-adding it, but that does nothing.
Has anybody run into a similar situation and how did you deal with it? Anybody know someone who works in the Google Voice department that can help directly? This is very very annoying!
Thanks!
