how to calibrate a new bigger battery? - Galaxy S II Accessories

i'm going to order a battery with bigger MAH this week and i wanted to know how to calibrate it in the right way for the 9100
the battery comes with charger if it changes anything

No need for calibration. As for your high capacity MAH, most if not all have a mah rating much lower than they claim. Generally less than the standard battery.

Is this still true if you order the OEM Extended Battery 2000mah?
I still do not need to calibrate the battery?

The extended OEM battery will be 2000mah and it doesn't need calibrating

Hi ilakov,
how did you order these batteries to Israel? I have looked everywhere and cant find anyone who ships to israel

Method SGS 2 instant calibration .
Charge battery 100% remove cable wait few mins plug back in charge 100% .
Remove cable and battery wait one hour calibrated.
Or just wait as battery auto calibrates itself on SGS2

Battery Choices

So, I have been looking all over the various stores (Sprint, Radio Shack, Ebay, Seidio), I bought a standard battery (the same mAh as my stock battery). The battery I purchased has about the same batter life (as expected about 6-9 hours depending upon usage of games and data) Looking over the extended life battery options I dont quite understand the claims.
http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/bacy35hev4-bk.htm
This is a 3500mAh battery and has "double the capacity of the original battery"
http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/basi17hev4.htm
This is a 1750mAh battery, it's not listed the capacity.. but my stock battery is 1500mAh so it cannot be by much.
http://cgi.ebay.com/3500mAh-Extende...Accessories&hash=item483d837c7f#ht_4076wt_905
This is a 3500mAh battery, it comes with a battery cover I would imagine that it's similar to the Seidio battery as far as in the capacity
has anyone tried the extended batteries off of ebay, do they work well.. and do the battery covers hold up well?
Any suggestions of extending battery life? I keep my wifi turned off, dimmed my screen, and a few other things.
Right now I am thinking of just getting a battery charger and just swapping between the two batteries.. it would just be a hassle taking my case and battery cover on and off every day.
check out http://batteryboss.org/ first to see where those batteries really stand.
there is also an 1800 mah at http://www.htcexpress.com/ that was supposedly tested to be 1700 mah.
that woud make it the best battery around, but i bought one and it seemed worse than the stock battery.
sprint also now has a 2600 mah with extended back. i don't know if anyone has tested it yet.
i purchased the ebay 3500mah with cover and also the OEM HTC extended battery for the TP2
HTC model no. RHOD170
. works great and according to battery boss it is the best extended battery ratings wise.
i got the battery for OEM HTC extended battery for18 bucks on ebay. so you have have two batteries and a better looking cover for half the price of the seidio battery.
however, i cant seem to get the battery status to show up correctly on the oem battery display but it does show up on "battery status" app

Batteryboss.org was a lot of help! honestly i think the best bet for me would be the cheap one from ebay that i mentioned.. the bad news is that it doesnt seem that they have tested it yet... so I think ill keep my eye open and wait on it
Extended battery for the EVO on eBay 3000 mah
This is a way better buy. The battery life rocks. The door is rubberized and a really nice feel/texture. Moretalktime has 100% feedback and has them in stock in USA.

Anker 1900mAh battery?

Hey guys browseing Amazon or GS2 accessories and I came across the Anker 1900mAh battery.
Now ive had the Anker 1900 on the Sensation and its legit a beast of a battery with extra juice, anyone used this for the GS2?
why not just wait a few weeks and buy the proper 2000mah battery??
iam sure samsung would have made a battery this size if possible rather then build extra back covers due to the 2000mah battery they have designed
basically i dont think anker could squeeze another 300mah into the battery at no extra size , its probably not what it says it is and i would go the official route , i have found all these cheap batterys to be useless in my times of owning mobile phones
to sum it up just buy the offical 2000mah battery from samsung or the bigger one from mugen if you want better battery life
look for anker 2300maH on ebay for $12-14 . buy it and make a review
tempted!
im very tempted. amazon uk has an offer for 2 and dockcharger and travel charger for £13. Even if its 80% of original battery i would be happy. But seems like a new release..not 1 review...
I would get the official samsung one but i have the perfect a leather, carbon fibre cases. would it fit in there? i don;t know...will i find an equivalent case that fits it...i don't no. If only if they had a demo version with new battery in a highstreet store i could try putting my case on,
ohh this make has had some reviews from same phone and different phones
im not advertising lol, just discussing reviews

I try the anker battery and doesnt work for me. That battery is bad quality because I charged and when the phone was in 5% the screen staring flashing. The phone reboot when is in 5%. I return the battery and they gave me a refund.

Eug measured the capacity one of the spider foot batteries as 2413 mAh.
Even though it is well under the stated rating there is nothing that touches it for value. USD $10 for a 2413 mAh battery is a fantastic deal.

yes, i do but its my opinion
My experience will be subjective, but I've been using 1900mah Anker batteries for the last 2 weeks. They are OK. With original battery I get 12-13 hours when everything ON! With Anker approximately 16-17 hours.
is 3500 mah battery better than 1900 mah ? increasing number of mah is better or decreasing ?

More mAh is better. Just be aware that the 3500 mAh spider foot battery is actually about 2400 mAh. At $10 that's not really a problem though...
Sent from my happy place.

HTC Desire CDMA w/ 3500 mAh Extended Battery...

Hello folks..
I have a HTC Desire CDMA and I bought a Extended battery (3500 mAh to be exact) and this battery lasts just about as long as my normal battery does. It is thick enough to be 3 of my regular batteries, and it is alot heavier, so i know it wasnt a scam, plus there was good reviews... but, The only difference that I get with this extended battery, is that it stays at 100% for about 3 hours, and then starts booming down the charts on battery level.. I mean, i normally have about 25% at the end of the day with this extended battery, but i figure that it should atleast last 2 days on a full charge.... with it being 3500 mAh.. I mean, wow... Can someone help me? Im using a trusted stable battery saving kernel and rom.. so I know that's not the problem..
bump.........?

Do you have a custom rom? Try to download SpareParts from the market and unplug the charger when it says "charged". For my Samsung i5500 and a cyanogen rom the phone says "charged" a lot of time before the real charge...i think that the batterystats file isn't calibrated on your new battery, and so it says charged before...if you have a custom rom i think it's useful (if not necessary) to do a battery ricalibration (i.e charge the phone until the 100% then wipe the battery stats via recovery and then let the phone discharge until the 0%)
I don't know if this will help you, i hope!
I think
When i go back home tomorrow and pick up my extended battery, i will try this. thanks.
edit: yes i have a custom rom. it's oxygen.

Where can I find a stock GS3 battery?

I want to buy an OEM battery for my gs3 so I can replace it when its out of battery. Could someone find a link to the actual one that you find in shipped devices? I dont want a knockoff or an extended battery. Thank you.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B007Y8VJP6
23$, 11 left in stock
I actually like my QCell 2300 better. Its battery life is equal if not abit better and only 10$. also has nfc
Here's just the battery http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-EB-L1G6LLAGSTA-Galaxy-Standard-Battery/dp/B0089VO7OM
I recommend the extra battery kit though, it doesn't cost much more and it comes with a charger that also acts as a stand http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-ETC-CP1G6LGSTA-Galaxy-Battery-Charging/dp/B0089VO7QU

I assume that its only for the S3 because the batteries are most likely different sizes. But you would have to ask someone who knows

Extended battery in LG Optimus G Pro E980

Just curious if anyone knows or not but I bought an extended battery for my E980 and I was wondering if the battery percentage meter will be accurate for an extended capacity battery, like will it say it's at 100% once it reaches 3140mAh or will it be accurate and only say 100% once it's reached the extended capacity? Thanks for any input.
Very curious as to how much one of those cost u? I cant find any less than $70
Now im soo broke i cant even pay attention!
Extended battery
Well I got mine off eBay its not the 9300 mAh but it's still better than stock its got 4790 mAh and it only cost me $15 that's why I went with this battery instead of the 9300 mAh but the 9300 was on eBay for $45 and it came with the bigger back cover so not a bad deal I was just having problems with my phone shutting off a lot on its own and having to plug it in for a while to turn it back on because it wasn't reading how much charge my battery actually had because once it shut off and I plugged it in it would say 0% until it charged a couple percent then when I would turn it back on it would jump to the 90% that the battery had actually been charged to the entire time so I just wanted a new battery so figured a slightly bigger one was better for that kind of money.

Is your new battery the same size as the oem battery? If so, then it's not extended. Only zero lemon makes reliable extended battery. Ebay has many so call extended batteries that are just the same, or even less than the oem battery.
