Does anyone know how to backup the PowerAMP playlists? I do full wipes a lot, and it annoys me to have to recreate the playlists. Titanium backup doesn't seem to do the job.
Shouldn't restoring app+data do the trick? I used to restore my alarms this way

Hi,
I was curious, when you install a rom & do a Titanium Backup restore of your data, are you possibly overwriting any system data?
Is it safe to use Titanium Backup to backup your apps, switch roms, restore, etc? Will that cause some sort of problem when trying roms?
Thanks,
Rich
I have limited knowledge about this, so take my thoughts with a grain of salt.
in my experience, doing a FULL back up and FULL restore resulted in errors. in my experiments with roms, i would back up only user apps with titanium then use an app for call log backups and another app for sms backups.
i really wish there was a way to backup everything BUT system data, that way when i relead a rom, all my icons will come back in the same order, my bookmarks will be intact and my settings would be the same. i'm not sure how to do that yet though.
I backup all user apps and then select the system data I want (desktop/messages/dictionary/boomarks). I too ran into errors if I backed up/restored everything.
Once I make the backups though I order the list by date backed up so all the stuff I skipped is at the bottom of the list; makes it somewhat easier to restore.
Hey folks,
when i backup'd all my stuff on my rooted g1 i totally forgot that titanium backup needs root access to work!
now i have all those files backed up but no easy way to temp. root my desire z and can't find another way to restore the backups .. (not only the apps, more important the data of them and sms)
Is there any app for phone or computer who can do this without root? i guess no? or am i missing the super1clickeasytemporaryroot app?
No, I don't think there is a way to take the files created by Titanium Backup, and restore system-level data, like your call logs or SMS. If you still have your G1 handy, install a utility like SMS Backup and Restore (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.riteshsahu.SMSBackupRestore). Use it to create a backup in XML format, transfer the file over to your DZ, then use the same app to restore your messages.
Sprint screwed me with 4.24.651.1
cant root this new phone with this new software. SO I cant restore from Titanium backup. Any ideas that aren't to complicated? I'm not all that tek savy
Does anyone know what location Google Music saves playlists that you create locaally on your phone?
I did a nandroid and a full titanium before i wiped and flashed a new rom, and i noticed my playlist i had on google music is gone, ideas how to pull it back from one of the backups i did?

I synced my Titanium Backup to Google Drive because I knew I was going to fully wipe my SD. Now I'm trying to restore my apps/data, and I'm having a bit of trouble. It shows about half of the apps that I have backups of (to be more specific, apps that on my previous ROM I had uninstalled). When I look into the folder, I see all the backup of apps that I need (com.xxxx.xxxx). Anyone have any idea what's going on/solutions?
When I use Titanium Backup to backup Torque and then make changes to Torque as
in changing one of the PID screens. Then I use Titanium Restore without doing another Backup, Titanium restores back to the changes that I made and not to the original backup that I did before the changes. What am I doing wrong or missing in the settings??? I have no automatic backups set and all of the above is done within just 1-2 minutes of the backup!.............Help
Also, can someone tell me exactly where the 'user data', PID screens, are stored? I have my backups going to the external SD card....GPS card.
I did another backup using CoPilot after adding an address into Favorites. Then I erase that address and did another RESTORE without doing another backup and the new address is not there!
This would indicate that Titanium Backup is not using the 1(one) backup that I have on the SD card; otherwise the added address should have been in the backup..........any help appreciated!
