ok my proplem is i can't download from market on my data plan.
here is what I did :
tried with wifi : work correctly
re-connected to gmail + talk : still not working
did hard reset : still not working
flashed back 2.3.2 : still not working
sometimes it works with data plan, but for 1 app and I still can't update my apps with data plan.
what you guys think ? could it be with my network provider ?
It's a phone I bought from rogers, unlocked it and using it on telus network (in canada). When I first went with telus, everything was working perfect.
Last monday, I used root explorer to remove bloatware. I removed everything safe in the list from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1089470. But I removed an app called Telus Menu. I put it back when flashed again to get root, and still not working. Maybe I disconnected something at telus network ?
can you help me out ?
Think it may be a market or app problem rather than the phone I have been having problems for the last few days and nothing in my set up has changed recently

Well thats what I'm hoping it is anyway ;-)

Yeah market problems too. So it's there issue, not our phones.

you are having same problems as me ?
I'm glad to ear that, no offense. I'm not alone having problems.
Curious how it is affecting some but not others. Wonder if its account specific or phone specific. I assume if someone did a flash it must be account specific... Odd thing to screw up either way.
Can you go to the android.com market on your PC and have it show up on your phone that way?
for me older market seems work fine. this new 3.1.5 seems to be buggy for me.
For me some apps can't be downloaded/updated. For example I had 5 updates yesterday and 4 updated with out issue but one couldn't update.
I've had some issues with the latest Market as well. What I've had to do several times is:
- make sure "update automatically" is NOT set for any apps
- go to My Apps and for any that show updates available select and try to update manually. If that fails, press the back button and now check the "update automatically" box.
- Exit from Market (kill the Market app if you have task killer or something similar so it is really and truly gone otherwise you will have to restart the phone)
- Now go back into Market and try to update the same app again
After update to 105, I have another notice software update to 6.1.C.1.107 and updating right now
how are you getting these notifications. I'm not getting anything!
Yeah, I am getting no update notifications. Everything I try says I'm already up-to-date.
Im not getting any notifications either. When i check for and update it says i cant check for one until 24 hours has passed -.-
I tried to upgrade my girlfriends ion and it said the same as many of you, that it was up to date and there was no update. I used the Sony support chat line and asked what was up, I was told I wasn't really supposed to be aware of the upgrade as it had not officially been released yet, and that it would be official and ready at 9:30AM tomorrow. I was not told if that was EST or what time zone also, in case anyone is wondering.

Ics my xperia ion
I just check software update on xperia ion i28at but not new update , i connect to pc companion and notification say " your phone has last update " . Firmware my phone is 2.3.7 , xperia ion i28at
Yeh I flashed back to stock GB then updated via SUS. Once I booted up and connected to wifi I got the update notification on the phone to .107 even though SUS said I had the latest version. 107 was only about 23mb.

I'm getting a loop between .05and 07. Updated to version on SuS and booted up got a notification for .05 wth--

No loop for me. Once i got the notification for .107 on the phone and updated that was it. Can't check for updates manually on the phone more than once a day.
Clearing data for update center, then turning off automatic notifications will temporarily stop the update loop cycle. At least that has worked for me - no notification for the past 18 hours. So far the new ROM looks solid, rooted very easily with the new quick root method in this forum.
The best part is, the Cell standby battery use seems to have been fixed - YAY - so hoping to get a full day of use easily on this ROM. A few small quirks - maybe with individual apps (did not wipe data between my updates) - could be the reason. For example, Gemini app manager no longer can identify the permissions for each app - that was something I used heavily to keep my apps under control. Memory use is higher as some users pointed out, but I would expect it with a newer OS - does not seem to affect performance much, although my home launcher has been restarting every now and then (I use Holo Launcher HD).
So far so good - lets see how battery and performance work out for the next few days - but the Ion feels like a solid performer now with ICS - if we could get JB on it someday... but I guess I am being greedy
Cheers - thanks Spectre51 for yet another accurate prediction on the update.

Have you been checking the server all day? I have and now I cannot get 107 back ATM, maybe 107 wasn't even suppose to be out, I really think 107 had a security flaw I rooted that sooooo easy, but im having a hell of a time on 105 for some reason,
Speaking of which I fixed it, If you have Flash tool and got Superuser installed but didn't acttualy get root, install a fresh FtF then in Flash took click the lock Icon after you do the FtF flash and it roots with SuperSU not Superuser, hate superuser.......
Yeah iv been checking all day I got the update notice but it won't download its really frustrateing

I think AT&T pulled the update back. I flashed back to GB today and then couldn't update via SUS or PC Companion. Flashed the .105 ftf and get no update notification to .107. Guess we will have to wait to see what they release. Just a note .107 isn't listed as certified on ptcrb.com and one thing I did notice about .107 was that you could go to landscape mode even on the home screen which was nice. Can't in .105.

I did locate the security policy updates however no Auto Update can been seen in the menus. If I search for the key words auto update I find it and it's checked. Un checking takes me to the below screen shot. Problem is Un checking auto update won't stick.
According to T mobile website the N900T does not allow user to uncheck Auto Update, however searching for it shows it. Not good, that they make you auto update Grrrr.

True that is actually one very good reason as I do not like the idea of receiving updates without choice.
I have Continue Update grayed out.. Not sure if it's because I moved from wifi to cellular at the time it was updating or what. Restarting the phone or checking for updates doesn't seem to "push" the update that appears to be pending. Any thoughts?
On a related note (nyuck nyuck), my international Galaxy S5 has already updated to the 5.0 Play Store. Why hasn't my Note updated yet and how can I force it?

My continue update is also grayed out I never got pushed an update so I think that's normal. My plays store is updated to the new play store layout. I guess go to my apps in google play and check and see if there are updates avail.

Ok I thought I was going crazy here since it kept saying no updates available. As for the Play Store, nothing showing up in My Apps for available updates.
After updating to build G891AUCU2APK2 on November 24, I notice that if you check the update server it immediately says no updates available. If you checked before twice in one day for example, it would say you had to wait xxx hours before checking again. Could someone who actually did the update check and see if their phone is doing the same thing. I had to advance the data to get the update, but I reset it to correct date and back to auto after updating.

I believe you have to be on Wifi to check for an update, but could be wrong on that.
It is on WiFi. What is happening now after the update is when you go to check for updates, it immediately says system is up to date. It is an instantaneous response, i. e., no spinning while it supposedly checks the server for an update. I am wondering how I'll ever get future updates if it really isn't checking the server. There would have to be a lag while it checks the server plus it does not say check again in xxx hours no matter how many times you check. So, I got the update, but now I'm screwed I guess for future updates.

I would clear the cache/data of the update app via Application Manger, and then reboot.
If you mean the AT&T software update app, the clear data and cache options are grayed out. I cleared the entire system cache partition, but that did nothing.

OK, according to AT&T, this is now normal behavior. No more "check back in 24 hours" messages and if your software is up to date, you'll get an immediate response that software is up to date. When an update is actually available, it will connect to the server at that time for download. Rep said they have changed the whole procedure for updates and they should come faster. There will be a couple of small updates in December prior to Nougat they said.

shame theres no updates for download, or for when outside US (when say on holiday/work) ...

Your option of advancing the date and or time worked for me I'm downloading update now even-though it originally said I had to wait x amount of hours. Thanks for the advice on that.
You're very welcome

Go to settings then go over to the date and time option then turn off auto time zone option then go to the date option that is now available and change it to the next day
