Hi Guys and Gals,
Well i've just had my web order confirmed from T-Mobile UK, phone arriving tomorrow.
I've been searching high and low for a suitable case, but to no avail. However, looking at the Seidio website, i see they do a holster style case for the Nexus One. This case can only be used with a 'naked' phone.
Could anyone advise if the HTC Desire would fit in this case? The measurements are so negligible (0.2mm wider, same height, 0.4mm thicker)?
I'm hoping it will but just need confirmation from anyone.

not sure wither it will fit or not but here are the dimensions of both, i would wait till a specialized case is up

Desire : 119 x 60 x 11.9 mm
Nexus : 119 x 59.8 x 11.5 mm
Hi irkan,
If you have a look at the 3rd or 4th pic, the holster has the space for the extra 0.4mm in depth (i think).
Its the width that worries me. The first 2 pics looks very snug, and even though it is only 0.2mm wider, i'm concerned it might be a squeeze!
Might have to take the plunge to see
Found one on fleabay for £20 inc p+p (from USA), compared to seidio direct who wanted something like $59!!!!!!

Well i've taken the plunge and bought it.
Will let you know when it arrives if the Desire fits (which i very much hope). If not....a bit of modification may be in order

I like the one you posted. I prefer the Soft case. I'm not sure why you think the cables would get lost. he case I got also has a zipper on the front pocket. My cables are fine. he Neoprene also stretches well so if you have to stuff more in that pocket.

Great for a girl... It's a shiny and girly bag if you ask me, but I really like the hard case.

Match the dimensions with other phones then look for a pouch made for that phone? Or you can wait for the phone to be released and buy one thats made for it?
Since the Nexus 5 is supposed to be the same size or slighty smaller than the Nexus 4, I recommend two pouches which should be a good fit. The Mofi pouch for something to add protection when putting your phone into knapsack or similar carry bag. ordered from china about $4 each. I think the size i got for my Nexus 4 was 5XL. shipping was about 2 - 3 weeks to USA and Canada

Even if you like fancy pouches for your phone, I would still get one of these neoprene ones as a backup. I used one for my S2 all the time when it was newer. Pretty durable and stretchy and you can wash it and its pretty cheap. Might find it direct from china for cheaper if you look for it.

I just wanted to add to this since Buychina can be sometimes difficult to navigate.
This seller has the 5XL in all available colors. This should be able to accommodate the N5 with a case/bumper.
im looking for a pouch/holster as well. the one that goes on my belt. and the nexus 5 is not smaller than the nexus 4, its bigger.

For my N4, i am using the Diztronic case and the mofi pouch. The N4 with the Diztronic case fits in the 5x mofi pouch. I seem to remember that the 4x mofi worked with the bare N4.
My Diztronic case for the N5 should arrive tomorrow. I will post the fit tomorrow.
PS If I can locate the mofi kangaroo pouch, I will also give some feedback on that pouch.

I would like to buy the HTC One model for my brand new Nexus 5, but i'm a bit worried about the section, the pouch will be too big?

I'm using a 3 way accessory case by Timbuk2 for my Nexus 4. It was a little long for the 4 so I'm betting it's going to be perfect for the Nexus 5. It's lined with a nice fuzzy liner and has a pocket suitable for ID, money, credit cards and it can be put on a belt or where I normally use it on my messenger bag.

Same, I love my bugatti Skinny Pouch. Really hoping the N5 will fit it.
The only problem I think is the heigth, because the N5 is only 0.4 wider and 0.5 thinner so I guess it will even out nicely.

i always use an bugatti skinny for my nexus phones
So I've emailed SENA Cases about their wonderful line of leather products for smartphones & Spigen about their "Crumena" case series -- both of which expressed slightly less than interested responses.

This looks to be just what i am looking for. I wonder how snug/tight it is. I prefer cases that have a strap to hold the phone in but this one might have to do i'm having a hard time finding a case for this and i hate not having a case...

Cost me about $10 off eBay... I have been using these pouches since I had a HTC Desire. Got the above case for my Galaxy Nexus, and to my surprise it fit the Nexus 5 quite nicely (it was always a bit big on the Galaxy Nexus).
It is a tight fit, but I have an older version of the same case so I know it stretches. The width is fine, but the height is an exact fit, there's no slack at the top end so if you drop it on the exposed side, it won't be well protected.
I'll put photos if anyone is interested...

Media Devil Artisan leather pouch - wow
I just got the Media Devil Artisan leather pouch today am I'm totally impressed with the quality for the price... It shipped rather quickly for something coming from jolly old England to Minnesota... I got the black w/black stitching. I'd probably order a second one if I could get it in natural brown leather. I guess I won't be stalking Sena's site anymore waiting for their vapor sleeve.... :laugh:

I have a Dodo Durables for a HTC One sleeve and it will work with the Nexus 5 fine but it's a somewhat tight fit. It will sometimes trigger the power button when inserting/removing the phone. I wish they offered an all leather option - the canvas gets a little floppy with use - probably not as much of an issue when you're using it with the phone it's intended for.
