I've tried every rom so far, and Juggernaut is by far my favorite.
reasons ?
any reasons ? is it the best in battery life?
Juggernaut has more features than the others. They all run about the same for me but juggernaut is what i use. Sliding power toggles and reboot options are nice to have.

What's a sliding power toggle and the battery on beast and EB seem better.

I agree Juggernaut is the best rom so far and i tried each one of them...little features like pressing the wifi toggle for 2 second takes me to wifi setting makes me think there was a lot of work put into it.

Look at the features and decide for yourself what suits you. EB and Jugg are both pretty well optimized.

BeastMOD II v1.0
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1325997
IMO i think BeastMOD II is better
but even stock ROM from Tmo is working pretty good out of the box
i just want to remove the ugly Tmo sound and welcome/goodbye screens
Beastmod Rom: most snappy Rom, benchmarks are ok, blue theme isn't for everyone.
Juggernaut Rom: snappier than stock, awesome power menu ( option to reboot, reboot in recovery ect..), 14 toggles notification bar ( not only wifi, auto rotation ect... But also reboot, shut down, flashlight and more) pretty good benchmarks.
Eaglesblood: snappier than stock, GREAT benchmarks from my experience (for example 900+ vellamo vs 700+ anything else) EXCELLENT battery life!!!!!!!!!!
I'm currently using eaglesblood v 1.1 coming from juggernaut which I love, I just wanted to see how good the battery life is on eaglesblood after I saw all the praises that it gets for it. It's an Awesome rom, but I think the juggernaut one is the best because it offers great balance, good battery life, great additions in notification bar and power menu, removed some bloats ( this applies to all the ROMs). But it's good to try them all and see what's best for you. I'm gonna keep rocking the eagles blood for a few days then I will probably switch back to juggernaut ( they're gonna release the 2.0 version today) so yeah. F***ING AWESOME ROMS!!!!!!
I've used both Eaglesblood and Juggernaut.
I feel like the performance with either is pretty much identical with LauncherPro plus. Battery life seems to be just a taaaad better with Eaglesblood. But like barondebxl mentioned, Juggernaut has better features including the option to boot into recovery and the additional toggle settings buttons found in the notification drop down menu.
Juggernaut is my current go-to.
ok
sounds good thanks for the breakdown, but now there is all the new kernels and jugg 2.0 any thought on those?
juggernaut 2.0 is the shiznizzle along with jugs.2
bump
theres new roms anyone tried them ?

Ditto here.... It rocks and I'm loving it!
Ran Calkulin for awhile, now running Blazer, and will likely give UnNamed a go at some point in the near future. The two I've ran so far are excellent and fully capable of being a daily driver.
I'll probably settle in with something eventually. I like to try ROMs but I also like to spend some time with one, get to know it, whisper sweet nothings in its ear and touch it in different places to see how it responds.
This week it's UnNamed. Last week it was Venum, and the week before it was Starburst. I love them all and they've all been bulletproof. It's hard to pick a favorite when they all work so well and have such great support from the devs.

Hello, im thinking about flashing a new rom on my phone but just wanted to get some input on which is the fastest / stable rom for galaxy nexus LTE version.. any input would be great thanks
I'm using the latest ARHD and love it. I haven't tried anything else so can't compare but I have no reason to flash anything different considering this is pretty perfect.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
I'm running GummyNex 0.2.9. It has great support (updated every night that I've been running it so far) and includes a few minor tweaks that add to the experience. Probably my favorite thing about it is that it includes an OC/UV kernel (that is kept updated, as well), so it makes installation of everything even easier.
I'm running zygotes 1.9 . Tried gummynex and arhd both excellent roms as well. Bench marked highest with zygotes so I am sticking with this for now. If you want stability #1 I'd say arhd.

Which ROM is has great battery life and is the most stable/fast. I do like mods too and stuff I just don't know which to flash to get the SMOOTHEST and fastest experience plus better battery life. I'm on a 4.0.2 right now I should probably go to a 4.0.3?
Sent from this GN on 4GLTE!
Personally, I'd go with ARHD. I've used it on my Transformer, and once I finally get around to flashing my device, that'll be the first (and most likely) only rom I put on it. Mike does a great job with his ROM's, and I haven't found one (especially on my Transformer) that I like more.
That's just my opinion. As usual, YMMV, but it's what I'd use.

can't go wrong with Peter Alfonso's Bugless Beast 4.0.3. His roms are always stable, he has a lot of experience. His roms are also on Rom Manager, which makes it easy too. He also has 4.0.2 & 4.0.1 builds
Galaxy Nexus Bugless Beast 4.0.3 cdma
What's the best overall? I'm on arhd and its pretty good just want to really know what's best. Arhd needs a 4.0.3.

The best IMO is Zygot3 v2.0 its really smooth and great on battery life. 2nd runner up is Android Revolution HD v2.1.2. I chose Zygot3 because battery, life the T9 dialer, notification toggles, advanced power menu and modded launcher that has a settings button.
I was using RootzBoat v4 from and it was great. I got the urge and flashed a CM9 kang.
IMO the CM9 kang is iffy. Works well but getting issues where apps just randomly close. Maybe a memory issue. It comes with notification toggles and the CM9 T9 dialer which is sweet.
Rootzboat was pretty smooth. I have a backup of it. I had a battery percentage mod and CM9 T9 Dialer. No notification toggles though.
Widgetsoid toggles are flaky. They work better in CM9.
Honestly just backup your current from and start going hog wild. Almost all rooms work with 100% functionality except MIUI. Some are just more stable then others.

I installed Android Revolution HD yesterday and I'm liking it, I'm noticing a bit less lag when scrolling between screens than I was on stock. I'm also seeing a little better battery life, I'm guessing 10-12 hours, where I was seeing 5-8 hours before. This ROM is worth checking out as there aren't a ton of options at the moment. This should hold me over until CM9!

I say go Juggernaut or go stock debloated deoxed.
Tough choice there mate, i'm running slickMOD 2.4 but you really can't go wrong with either one. SlickMOD does have amazing battery life but its theme is a bit out there. I havent tries paradox but I hear its GREAT as well, nicely themed too
I have a kanged ics theme for slickMOD 2.4 if you go that route.

Paradox is far and away the best looking, digital warfare is the most functional. Since you're coming off DW, I vote paradox.
I'm currently running sickMOD v2.4 with the Phone Candy theme by appdroid. It's the first rom I flashed on to my SGII so I can't speak upon the other roms. I chose slickMOD over the others because the main factor I wanted in a rom for my personal use is longer battery life. Secondly is performance, stability, and reliability. I must say slickMOD is a definite improvement over stock. Also, the Phone Candy theme makes it looks clean & simple, very easy on the eyes. I planning on running v2.4 until there more dramatic improvements and such in later versions. So far i'm loving it!
Battery Life with less than moderate usage
Home screen with Phone Candy theme

I have run both and here is my take. Slick mod is a patchwork of a bunch of roms. Put together nicely in version 2.2. Then, when it tried to develop further it took major steps backwards. Nothing really "improved" on it. Paradox is as smooth as you can get. Battery life is just as good if you know what you are doing and you have a dedicated seasoned developer with a "team" of other devs around that will push it better and better. I am not knocking the guy that put slick together, It is of my opinion that paradox is the better rom and has better support. I hope the guy that did slick continues because we all need to start somewhere and this should be a good liftoff for him.
SlickMod 3.4 has come, very cool ....
Both are Awesome...Paradox is a little prettier. Slickmod closer to stock. Both are very smooth roms.
Its up to you man......paradox is awesome so is slick mod......
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
I was running Darkside and switched to Paradox - follow the instructions and it is awesome. It looks great but the best part is how responsive it is. You can notice the difference when coming from darkside to paradox. Besides the smoothness and responsiveness the data speeds and gps lock seems snappier/faster.
If this post helped hit Thanks
I am about to take the dive onto a ICS rom for my GSII but there are quite a few and I want to here your guyses opinions of which is best and why and which has the fewest issues etc, battery life and you know just the works in general. I am interested in ICS Perfection II, Darkside Evolution, Black Edition, T989-NexusMod, NexusMod ICS Zero Beta 7, ICS Megamix 4.0.3, and SKY ICS UCLD2. Any opinion is nice thank you
I skipped Sky due to the more involved install. But I've found them all to be very similar. They are all fast, 90% stable and none of them have particularly great battery life.
NexusMod requires touch cwm so if you don't want that, you can X that one out too.
But none of them are bad.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using xda premium
I used the perfection one for a while, it was a bit buggy and laggy but overall it was okay, then i switch to the blackened edition it was all good in rc-6 no call echo, but 7 echo came back for me, and rc-8(Experimental) im using right now its pretty decent, but im not a big fan of the theme, i seen the darkside evolution one and im very inclined to use it even tho it's only a beta AND initial release if you read thru the comments everybody seems to be having a good time with it and no issues so far

I just flashed it after trying Black RC8 Experimental. Both are fast as heck. Battery life is kinda blah like I was saying so I'd keep a charger or spare battery around.
But in terms of stability and speed its solid.

Sent from my SGH-T989 using XDA
I'm just testing everything for the heck of it.
Main difference is Black has AOSP Lock screen but not 14 toggles. And Darkside has the toggles but no AOSP lock screen.

It has the ICS touchwiz unlock screen. Not as good as AOSP imo.
As far as ROM's, My GF's GS2 is using perfection and hasn't had any problems at all.
I went with SKY ICS for mine. It was more work to muscle through, but for me it was worth it due to the customization options. Works really well.
I had Nexusmod for a day, and it was good too, but had a glitch where it would tell me "Swipe to unlock" on the bottom of the lockscreen evn though it was AOSP.
I reccomend Apex launcher with them though.
My sister is annoyed with the battery life of her GS3 despite how good it as been next to her old iPhone and she wants to squeeze more juice out of it. She's not as tech-savvy as most people on this forum so I'm looking for something that is as stable as it gets.
Thanks in advance.

I've had both of these problems as well. So small that they hardly go noticed. I've minimized the black wake screen with the voltage control settings below.
Task650 AOKP 4.1.2 JB. 11/18 Build
Underwear kernel (Intellidemand/Deadline)
I wanted to solve the same problem for my wife. I installed wanam Rom. It still looks and feels the same but it more than doubled her battery life over stock Rom. She hasn't complained since.
Ps. I wouldn't recommend putting her on cm10, AOKP, or any Aosp Rom for two reasons, she will most likely miss touchwiz features she is used to, and she will probably run into more problems with some stuff not working.

Task's AOKP ROM is the ****
Really liking Liquid Smooth. Great battery life very customizable. Second choice would be Serenity.
Task's AOKP ROM for me. Though I did have battery life problem as my phone was awake all the time. I wiped it clean and had only a few widgets, and add juicedefender app and my battery life was much much better. Maybe it's not the ROM but what your sister has on her phone?
I've got a SGS 3 now and let my wife have the SGS 2. The first day I had it I got 4 hrs and 7 minutes of screen on time on the stock ROM. That was texting, checking email and surfing the web. I don't have a lot of apps installed such as facebook etc... and I don't keep it synced to google servers. I rooted it but am sticking with stock for now. Seems to be doing well.
