Which theme did you download (please post a link to it)?

The file will work on any rom for our devices.
Screen shot shows the ICS Dialer running on Overstew's ICS Theme for Starburst & midNight.
Download link:

FLASHABLE ZIP

It keep saying theme controller not found.

ZipThemer only works with MetaMorph theme files. It does not work with apk or flashable themes.

The link is for the dialer. It's not full theme. I also have my evo and it worked there.

There is an app called MetaMorph in the market that allows one to apply themes on top of each other. Most themes modify a file called framework-res.apk in the /system/framework directory, and most themes simply overwrite the file. MetaMorph actually unpacks the file and changes only the required files within the package. MetaMorph also does this with other .jar files and .apk files.
The problem with MetaMorph is that is usually reboots the phone or crashes while applying a theme. In most cases, the theme is applied despite the crash. Sometimes it isn't, in this case, the only option is to try again.
Also, some themes are device specific, so caution is recommended.
I recommend you Nandroid before you do any morphing.

[Q] How to apply icon packs in MIUI rom.

I have downloaded and icon pack on my PC for my MIUI rom. Can anyone kindly give me instructions on how to apply it?
Thanks in advance.
Well miui have a theme editor, and it uses a custom file type. Just put the file on your sd-card and open the theme-editor, and it should load the new theme and allow you to choose it.

Thanks for the help.
I am having no trouble with applying entire themes as you have mentioned. What I want to do is a change all the icons of the default MIUI theme to those of an icon pack that I have downloaded. Any idea how to do that?
if it is .mtz file simply open it from file explorer and it will ask you to install. once installed you can choose those icons from theme manager -> edit theme -> icon
ok im having the same problem. i dunno if other dude figured it out, but here is where im lost. i downloaded blank mtz file and icon packs from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1218876
when i try to open mtz file it said it did not contain the required resources. how then do i add icons to mtz file? did a search and this is the only topic i found on this problem.

[REQUEST] Stock ICS Blue Softkeys

I was hoping that someone could create a flashable zip that includes stock ICS blue softkeys, like the attached zip, that also includes a blue "hide keyboard" button as well. I'm currently running CM10 so if it can work with that, that would be great.
Thanks in advance

That is already a flashable zip.. well partially.. all you have to do is Download ZipThemer and using ZipThemer make a flashable with the included Zip. If you've never made one before i have a tutorial in my Themes OP. Its linked in the Main Page at the bottom.
I'm trying to stay away from ZipThemer, and I'll explain why. It appears that when making a flashable zip in ZipThemer, it backs up EVERYTHING from your systemUI.apk, adds in the themed files, and zips it all up. I've run into an issue the past week with not being able to see the new battery circle mod included in the latest CM10 as well as not being able to customize the icons on my navbar. I found out that an old ZipThemer mod was to blame.
Basically, I don't want to create a new ZipThemer mod every time my rom has new features added. How can I make a flashable zip without ZipThemer?

Take the SystemUI.apk from your ROM.zip 7zip extract the file contents. In /res/drawable-xhdpi you will find the softkeys. Take the images from the Zip you have and paste them in the folder (they should already have the correct file names.) Then put the /res/drawable-xhdpi back into the archive of the original APK. Then put that apk in a flashable and flash away. You can just gut a Flashable zip *i have one in my MMS tutorial* .
Which is not as easy as a ZipThemer.. you'll also have to redo this entire process everytime you flash a new nightly.. you'll either get lost in a bootloop... the systemui will force close.. or you'll be absolutely fine.. but have an old SystemUI.

By doing that though, aren't I going to have the same issue because all the files in systemui are being preserved?

Yes but that IS the only other option... I'd just make the zipthemer and be done with it.

How about this attached theme...
It only replaces the icons it's theming. That's what I'm trying to do.

Same thing as ZipThemer... but does things differently. I would just make the zipthemer. And when you need to update all you have to do is update the zipthemer to flash it. Its a vrtheme and creates extra folders.
Alright, I'll do it in ZipThemer then. Anyway, can someone with good photo editing skills color ic_sysbar_back_ime and ic_sysbar_back_ime_land so they are the same ICS blue as the files in my first zip? I have attached the files.

I have a full set of ics blue nav buttons. I can make a ZipThemer for you if you like. The reason ZipThemer is the best way o go, is that it uses your exact SystemUI to make the package. No bootloops that way. Yes, you'll have to remake the update.zip every time you update your rom, but you use the same ZipThemer theme each time. And it seriously only takes about 3 minutes to do each time anyway, which is quicker than pulling your apk & swapping out images with 7zip. And you don't get the duplicate drawable folders like with vr-theme or universal flasher. I actually made a theme chooser for a customer last night with just ics blue navkeys & custom lockring. Strangest request I've ever had.

Inverted Holo Blue Android Market v4.1.10

5/17: UPDATED to v4.1.10
In case anyone is interested, I found a very nicely themed (inverted holo blue) Market v4.1.10 on the SG3 I9300/I9305 Forum... link below. Works perfect and looks great on the GNote2 (I'm running CleanROM ACE v4.9, but I'm sure it will work perfectly with any of our roms). I pulled the "Phonesky.apk" out of the zip and installed it (via Root Explorer) to /system/app. (first copying to /system to fix permissions (rw.r..r..), then moved to /system/app). Reboot... walaa. Enjoy and be sure to hit Kryten2k35 (UltimaROM developer) THANKS ! Remember to backup first (just in case) and copy your current Phonesky.apk to a safe location if you wish to revert (but Google appears to be rolling out the new v4.1.6 now anyway). If you already have the new Google v4.1.6, you'll need to uninstall updates, then move this inverted v4.1.6into /system/app. I opted to install this way as I'm not sure if the install scripts are the same between S3 and GN2... so didn't want to flash his zip strait way. Enjoy. Screenshots in Post#2
Update: see posts below... other have reported back you can flash the installable zip on the Note2

It's in an installable zip for another device... so not advisable to flash (not sure if the binary scripts / partitions are the same as our device). I just picked the inverted theme zip I wanted and downloaded it. DON'T FLASH IT. Extract it and pull out the Phonesky.apk (in Ultima/app folder). Go to Manage Applications and Uninstall Updates for Google PlayStore... then copy the new Phonesky.apk to /system... and fix permissions (to RW.R..R..)... then MOVE to /system/app.... reboot. PLEASE REMEMBER TO DO A NANDROID (backup your system, data, boot partitions) FIRST... in case things go south you can restore.

Thanks for confirming the flashable zip works on our Note2.
