It wors fine with JPZ modem.

Maybe I have a stupid question, with which program to run this room?

how to flash
ok,
don't want to risk to brick my tab.
So how to flash this?
odin 1.7? right?
put Tab in Download mode
connect to PC
and than???
What to put where?
PS: using an EU Tab, german unbranded originally (DBT)
at the moment: GB pre-rootet russian version 1.1 at the moment.

Yes. Flash using Odin3 v1.7 with single file as PDA without repartition.
This firmware doesn't wipe your internal memory.
All will be fine!

It for GSM GT-P1000 ?
Where do I find root for this ROM ?

This is a cdma rom isn't it? That means no flashing on GSM tabs ? Worth confirming!

Is there any solution for the bug with "null" in Samsung Keyboard? Unfortunatly it is the only keyboard available in this ROM ...
Apart from that it is a very good ROM.

Hi thanks for the information
Do I put tar.md5 file straight into the pda section, or do I need to convert it before hand?
Thanks for help

I recommend installing the Swype beta.

flashed
Well, confirmed working with Telstra tab
Found: blue border when scrolled to the end, feel smoother transition between pages in the app drawer, smaller icons in app drawers, new lock screen (not exactly same as honeycomb), dialer is smoother and usable. Battery use is more ACCURATE now (battery use of the display is higher than others)
still slow to open favorite in stock browser, no animation when rotating.
Generally, happy to have updated

Flash again, but with pit and repartition.

so I suppose this is European firmware? will this work over Asian firmware DXJPI... if I flash this without flashing .pit file, this will not wipe internal sdcard, right?

Just wondering if internet calling is enabled in call setting. can anyone confirm?

tried this and loving it... hopefully an Asian update will be released pretty soon...

1.unrar I9000XXJQ3
2.Open ODIN. (And close Kies, if you have it open. It is important to have ODIN open BEFORE connection the phone via USB!)
3.Select the Modem, PDA, CSC and .pit file in Odin.
4.Turn the phone into the download mode by pressing and holding VolumeDown+Home+Power.
5.Connect your phone with your computer and wait until the drivers are installed.
6.When the drivers are installed, click Start.
7.The phone will be flashed and once it’s finished, it will boot up. (Do NOT disconnect the usb-cable, remove the battery or otherwise interrupt this process!)
8.You have successfully flashed your phone.

Right now now i have a mixed rom for DBT (JS3/JPY/JP3), should i stay or should i GO JQ3 ?
In this case i should use .pit file? will my phone lose apps & settings?
When you say official release, does that mean this one is a final, which is getting deployed by carriers?

I did read that somewhere but wasn't sure if it was right so I did not write it as German CSC used to be XEG, thanks for clarifying.
Thanks again for this.
Besides location, are there noticeable differences between JS5 JS7 and JQ3?
Could you make a zip file with the JQ3 Swype (to be flashed from recovery) ? I messed the original swype within JS5 and now I am missing the Dutch language...
I flashed Swype JPA ( So now I have all the languages I need) but it's an older swype version ( I guess)
Cheers

You can use one of the Armani CSC CWM packages to install Swype of the original firmware that you want:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=948790 Try DBTJS2 package and see how it goes.

Thanks for your words..
I'm glad that I can help, this is the whole idea. I did not develop the firmware, I did only re-package the firmware, so it's really not a big deal.
I would like to clear something up...These packages are medium-priority packages actually. Low-level is related to 'formatting' as in HDD format, anyway, the idea is that I do only want to refer to them as 1 file or 3 file Odin package(s), because I don't want to get into discussions that leads to nowhere with some members...

Any major performance change in this firmware, Is the browser bug fixed?
How is the overall performance of the firmware compare JSJPG and JS8.
As its new firmware and couple of hours back its Released, Kindly check the battery performance and post the feedback.
Thanks
quadrant score are nearly the same, but whole system seems more responsive when compare to jpg, browser bug not fix

Any more feedback as to how this base feels after JS8 or JPG? Makes sense to upgrade?

What about input languages?
input language is the same as jpg
something strange about this firmware:
1. phone get much hotter, I never feel this before. (JPG 41C, JPJ 44C when using xda app)
2. I don't know if this is a feature of xda app or not, I active screen capture function when I am using xda app, and I don't have any screen capture app install
update: same as galaxy tab, it got screen capture feature itself, is this the same for other firmware?

I was experiencing increased heat on the blackplate around the camera with JS8 and had posted that experience to the thread. Pretty sure I experienced that with an earlier ROM, can't recall which though.

The kernel in this firmware is interesting. It should let us download apps bigger than 30MB (/cache partition) from the Market.

This package does not include Sbl.bin, my opinion is if Download Mode works then don't re-flash it unless you have to.

Well if the sbl.bin included in KC1 is newer I would prefer to flash it too. Kies flash it anyways, and I will probably upgrade with kies.

I have the GT-I9000M and I recently upgrated my firmware to this version FROYO.UGKC1. I am getting the error message "Warning Camera Failed" everytime i launch the camera app so now I am looking to root my device to fix this. I found many different solutions but they all require for the device to be rooted. I tried rooting my device with the z4root app but it did not work and i am guessing it is because of my firmware version. I am new to rooting but I have read a lot of article about this since then. Can somebody please help me root my device or just find a solution to the camera issue? It would be really appreciated. Thank you!

Yes, please use pit and re-partition.
Your questions was if you should use pit and re-partition, answering by Yes and adding 'please' does not make it 'No'.

Thank you so much! Worked fine for me. I rooted my phone, replaced my camera firmware files and everything works fine now.

Hi folks.
Do you know if this firmware has Brazilian Portuguese language and swype ?
If not, can you tell me the latest firmware for I9000, not I9000B that hast it ?
Thanks a lot.
I think most, if not all Euro ROMs have Portuguese, but from Portugal. These ROMs are the most popular here on XDA. Asian ROMs are popular too.
If you really want Brazilian Portuguese, I think you have no choice but sticking to official i9000B ROMs.
This one is a Canadian ROM and if I remember it has only English and French. Quite a few Swype language but I don't remember seeing anything about Brazil.

Awesome dude
Flash in recovery? Or odin?
Sent from my SGH-T989D using xda premium
I assume this is just stock and if I install it, it will unroot my phone?
It should only unroot if you used Kies like I did. If you use ODIN or CWM, it should not undo root. If it does, re-install CWM and install the latest SU 3.0.7 (I believe) from the internal flash. I've already been debloating the 4.0.3 with root explorer and it only took me 15 min max after ICS was done installing via KIES.
anyone tried it?
Im guessing this is for odin right?

yeah, oh well
You should be able to drag it to your internal SD as a zip and install via CWM.
Downloading now, currently on CM9 ICS. Will report back

Not thread jacking but the odin file i posted in development has been tested by me and at least 3 other people and is working.
Couldn't tell from reading the thread, is this a flashable zip or one extracts it to flash a Odin tar?

Is this the same ROM that's on SamFirmware?
http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=8&view=5459
This rom is awesome. fast, stable and low battery drained. If there are more customized functions, this rom is the best.
Looks great! I'm about to try. Thank you!
Have to change suffix name to .tar.
I' d up with .md5 but my tab couldn't login into home.
Always reboot and back to downloading.
I opened file and into md5 file has not such as pit file.
And I changed to tar file and saw them.
But couldn't login into home.
I hard reboot and it's OK!
Maybe you have to change to tar file.
