Hi all,
I know this is my first post but the only reason I felt the need to do it is because I have run out of options to fix my Wildfire. I have scoured many forums to find a solution from the CyanogenMod forums through android to xda forums to no avail.
I am currently running the newly released CyanogenMod 7.1.0.1 and I'm experiencing the same problem that I had since upgrading to the 7.1 RC1. Basically the phone works normally after flashing a ROM but after a few weeks of usage I attempt to call someone and there is no sound on either side of the call. If I then leave the call and try to play any music it does not work and neither do the basic android sounds. Basically no sound at all. Now I have tried rebooting (I get back the sounds but as soon as I want to call someone the same thing occurs), pulling the battery and all the usual processes. I read somewhere that flashing the ROM again fixes it and that is true but the same thing occurs after a few weeks of usage, rendering my phone useless. Even flashing earlier backups does not work. So I am wondering if anyone has experienced something like this or if anyone could have an answer and solution to my problem.
Here is a detailed list of what I am currently running:
ROM: CyanogenMod 7.1.0.1
Radio: 3.35.20.10
Hboot: 6.01.1002
S-OFF
Customisations: V6 SuperCharger Update 9 Beta 6.3, 3G TurboCharger Installer Update 3 test 11, Kick Ass Kernelizer Installer Update 3 test5.
Thanks for any help.
Edit: I forgot to mention I also have the Custom MTD Partitions for the Wildfire.
Could be hardware related, have you tried stock?

Hi Everyone,
Im having a unusual problem. Im finding that if people ring my htc Desire when i answer the mic doesnt seem to activate straight away (2-5sec delay) Ive done a quick google and some people suggest that its the radio needs to be updated.
Im currently using:
HTC Desire
Oxygen 2.0 RC7
Radio: 32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2
Im not sure if i should update this radio and if so where? Also what is the radio version and why do i have to update it when i change/update my rom?

It's a problem in all AOSP Gingerbread ROMs at the moment, as far as I know. At least both Oxygen and Cyan 7 nightlies have the problem
I've noticed thin in Oxygen 2.0 RC6 and it bug the hell out of me!
Don't recall having it with stock Rom.....
Write about this bug in the Oxygen bug tracker so it'll get more attention -

I have the same problem.
Oxygen RC7, stock radio.
I've tried to change the radio, but didn't found any low-risk, user friendly method.
so i got my desire hd yesterday, i'm pretty satisfied with it so far... rooted it as soon as i got it out of ted to the box! but i've hit a major problem, i wanted to flash CM7 or MIUI or custom kernels, which i managed to do, but unfortunately, sound doesn't want to play on any rom other than the stock telus rom so i have a couple of questions and hoping to find answers:
1.what is causing this?
2.is there anything that can be done about that?
thanlks!

In Fring / MobileVoip app when i call to somebody via Wifi ; voice start breaking when screen goes off.
I hope this will help to understand . As right now i am using T-mobile G2 with Cyanogen Nighty Version 41 that is after the stable release of RC 7.0.0
Now i don't remeber that after which nightly version this problem.
I Think i am not the ony one who has this problem ???????????????
Somebody please help me
sorry to say about this in this big community nobody helps me about this problem that how can it be fixed. but i found myself a way to stop doing so that i don't have to keep phone in my hands while i am calling through either from Fring or from Mobilevoip.
What i did i install the Custom Kernel Via Rom Manager .
What you have to do is to install the Custom Kernel from PERSHOOT OPTION in Rom Manager.
Keep in mind as i am using Android version 2.3.4 as OS in my T-MOBILE G2. which is available under the CYANOGEN MOD NIGHTLY VERSION 63.
and after i install the Kernel available for GINGERBREAD. so if you have Gingerbread then install this CUSTOM KERNEL otherwise other option is also available.
Hello,
I am running a Stock rooted rom at the moment. However, whenever I Skype and use it like a handset, the WiFi gets cut off (well, slowed to the extent that the connection fails). It does this regardless of my Sleep Policy I setup (I set it to Never).
This is really annoying to me... Thus I ask of you fellow Desire Owners, is there another ROM that would fix this bug? Or can I update the WiFi Module? What are my options here? I would like to keep SenseUI, or everything as-is, just remove the wifi-sleep bug
In LeeDrOiD rom this feature works pretty well, I can guarantee that. The rom has sense.
Swyped from my HTC Desire with CM7.
Could you lead me to a tutorial or guide how to apply it? I only used the unrevoked 3 thingy to root Thanks!

Also AFAIK 99% custom ROM's have this setting under your control.
Hey Guys,
my GF is using my old HTC Desire (GSM) and there are some problems.
Biggest problem is during phone calls. There are short pauses with no sound during a call, sometimes just 1 sec, sometimes longer. The call isn't cancelled, but there is just no sound for few moments.
The Desire is rooted and currently a (Soul) MIUI Rom with the latest Radio 5.17.05.23 is running on it. My SD Card ist partioned to use A2SD+, so i search a ROM where i can use that.
I never changed the kernel directly, perhaps it was changed/updated via a CustumRom, don't know at this moment.
So my question to you: Do you know this kind of problem? Is there a coherence between my calling problem and the rom or radio oder even the kernel?
And what combination of Rom/Radio/Kernel do you suggest for me? Some Radios don't fit to some Roms i think, or?
It must be a Rom with a2sd+ working.
I'm very thankful for every hint or advice
Greets, Jon
I'm using RSK SE rom at the moment. It uses aroma installer so gives you menu options when installing. Make sure a2sd and call delay patch are selected. I'm using the latest radio and it works great but may well work fine with another version of radio also. Very stable rom (sense 3.5).
You will need to partition your sd card first or a2sd won't work.
The kernel that comes with this rom is fine. No need to change IMO.
