Any help with this issue?
Are ya'll rooted?
If not a custom ROM will probably solve the issue.
Yeah im rooted and on a custom ROM. receiving works just fine, but sending doesn't.

Gotcha. I'm not sure of the details, but I've had problems when I send over Wifi.
To solve it, most of the time I throttle back to Data only and have Wifi off. Usually, my data will send within a few minutes.
I'm guessing it has something to do with integration being better between carrier and the MMS app than doing over Wifi.

Hello, I have Myn’s Warm 2.2 RLS 5 Rom and I'm always having problems sending a recieving MMS. When sending, it takes FOREVER (like 2-4 weeks) for the person to receive my picture mail. When receiving, the MMS says downloading but nothing ever shows up and it just stays downloading until randomly it might show up or it might not.
I don't know if this is a common problem with the EVO 3G or with this ROM in particular...any help would be appreciated! Thanks
I noticed that turning off my WIFI seems to help my messaging work better. Try it and see.

Check the size of the image. I had the same issue until I cropped the image smaller than 1mb.

They're supposed to escalate the issue if it continues after APN settings have been verified. Although, if the APN settings are correct, provisioning in the MMSC is correct and the MMS simply aren't reaching the network there isn't much they can do. However, customer support can't check that last bit and are bad about messing up the second one occasionally. Still, they should escalate the issue to tech support and eventually engineering if the issue continues. If engineering finds that the MMS aren't reaching the network at all, there's almost always an issue with the handset itself. If the MMS are reaching the network and aren't being delivered, there may be an error or the recipient handset isn't downloading them (unlikely if you're sending to multiple recipients, I don't recommend sending MMS to yourself as a valid test unless it's to a separate line).
Im pretty sure its gotta be software related. I can send them via go sms..So im thinking its gotta be something with the user string and tmobile not recognizing the phone properly

But doesn't Go SMS use data for MMS?

Ive seen a few threads about this, as well as several on the TMo boards and other boards about people not being able to send or receive MMS over wifi after the ICS update. I also had this issue and called TMo. I spoke to their 2nd level support, and the solution per Samsung is first send a picture to yourself via gmail (the gmail acct associated with your phone) while on wifi. After you receive it, you should be able to send and recieve MMS over wifi from there on out.
It worked for me, so I thought Id share with you. I cant speak for custom ROMS as Im on stock rooted.
edit: the symptoms I was having was I would send an MMS, and it would sit at sending. If I received an MMS, I got the notification of a new text with a download button. Hit that, and it sits at download. FYI I just checked my wifes SGS2 and she's on Darkside 2.7 and had the same issue. I perfomed the fix above, and now it works. So it appears this fixes the problem on GB as well.
Do you send the picture to yourself through a computer to gmail? Or using the phone to yourself?

yeah, i just tried the same thing and nothing happened, however, mine won't even switch to 4g to send/receive mms
Damn sorry guys...apparently its the Samsung fix and it worked on mine and my wifes phone...

bummer. wish this would have worked for me.
Sorry after the reboot, it didn't switch to 4g anymore..
For people who have 4g turn on just turn off mobile data in settings then do it

So does it work for you
This worked for me after several attempts.
Attempt 1: enable wifi and wifi calling. Send email. Email did not send.
Attempt 2: enable wifi only. Send email. Did not resovle issue.
Attempt 3: enable wifi and wifi calling, disable data network. Send email. reboot. Test MMS. Works. Enable data network. Tes MMS again. Problem Fixed.

So just to make sure, do you send the email to your Gmail address through the messaging app or through the Gmail app? I would love to get my MMS working with the ICS update.
I have tried this several times, doesn't work for me. Any other suggestions?
It might be different for me as well because I am using Straight Talk (on tmobile network) but even if i enable WIFI Calling, it won't work and just shows error.

I got this to work. I repeated #3.
When sending the email, use the messaging app.

I have the same issue. For me at least the issue seems to be tied to GOSMS, i tried using HandcentSMS and it worked fine over wifi.
Does anyone have a problem receiving text messages? It seems like sometimes I don't receive messages from people I was in the middle of a conversation with, then I reboot my phone and I get them

Update your prl. Sprint may be having issues with towers near your location.

Location? You may have sprint working on your towers.
What version of Free GS3 are you running? Are you using the stock messaging app? I've been running this ROM and haven't had the problem you have described, perhaps re-flash the phone fresh and see if you're still having problems. If you are, then I would do as FL0OD suggested, sounds like a reasonable thing to do
no problems receiving normal texts. Some roms have MMS issues atm, which may also affect longer texts or group texts.

v0.1.1 & I've re-flashed the phone, and I always keep updating the PRL. It doesn't seem like I'm having problems now, but I still feel as though I'm getting messages late and such. Is there a way to go on my sprint account (from my pc) to check what messages have been sent to me, then check my phone and see if they reached me?
Tried switching to default app. Has nothing to do with apps. Keep receiving
"Networkis unavailable. The message will be sent when the network is available pr pver WiFi if you are subscribed to Integrated Messaging."
I tried doing soft resets, deleting cache/data. Turned on wifi and the message comes up none stop. Turn it off and the message only comes on when i try to send a message. Cant find anything online.
Been rooted on 13B. Verizon. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It seems the service freezes. So to restart it I just placed a call since calls uses the same signal as text messages (regular texts not mms). Once the call went through it restarted the service and i was able to send/receive texts.
