Led indicator when call comes in - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Is there any app that flashes the led when a call comes in?

There's one called back light notification in the market but u need a custom kernel that supports it.the best thing right now is the no led app

No led is much better IMO.
Deebo took your bike too?

don't know what your talking about. I have no led and this phones battery last me the whole day with one charge with kind of heavy use.also SAMOLED plus doest really consume that much battery since there's no backlight and each pixel is an organic light emitting diode that makes its own light.must be some app constantly running in ur background

I'd like to see a mod that uses the touch key lights

If u use the jugs kernel u can use the bln app.

Led Indicator
Or you can just use flash notify which does the job pretty well.

ok thanks, just wanted to make sure something wasnt out on the phone.
Download light flow if you're rooted

That's depressing, I'm not rooted yet so that doesn't do any good right now
You don't need to be rooted to use Light Flow.

You can also download NoLED. It's fully customizable and display charge percentage on screen.

[Q] LED Notifications

Since there isn't an LED light specifically for notifications, is there a way to make the LEDs for menu, home, back, and search light up for said notifications? It would be even better if each one lit up for specific apps so I could know why it's lighting up before I even turn on the screen.
Thanks for any help!
My suggestion would be NoLED.

Yeah, that's what I'm doing, but was hoping one could take advantage of the buttons' LEDs.

The closest we can get to LED notifications is BLN. You need to use a BLN compatible kernel and use the app BLN Control.

I'm trying to tweak some things on system tuner and my phone rebooted (but took a bit to turn on) my blood pressure dropped, I thought I killed my phone!
But after some reading.. it pretty much means the phone does not like those settings, change them.. right? Phone works fine now though, but I was wondering for future reference

Yeah, basically. If you are undervolting, you need to take tiny increments to make sure the phone is stable before going any further.

Dim the capacitive buttons??

Its probably been asked but a quick search turned up nothing.
I use screen filter at night to further reduce screen brightness but the capacitive buttons stay bright as hell. Is there any way to dim them as well???
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
If you are using Samsung dock and Desk Home app, that dims the buttons after a short while. I run cm7. But that's if you are not using the phone... there is no known way to dim them if it is in use

Lol I did this for like a month straight. Even started a thread about it, however I still would love to see them completely disabled and go all virtual in cm9.

Hmm..are these not controlled through the kernel? If they blink when activated maybe there is a way to get them to behave in inverse, like off by default and blink only when touched? I would like to see them completely disabled..wondering why this can't be accomplished..

That would be pretty awesome. I'd like to see that as a feature. I'm sure it would help save some battery, and you can *never* have too much battery
Have you suggested that to any of the kernel devs?

Touch key lights?

Do the touch key lights just stay off when the phone is low on battery because right now mine are off and I have it on always on but my battery is very low.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
If you do not use any batterh saver app, the system just acts as you set up it on settings > display > touch key light duration
You can change the time from there.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
But if your touch light is always off on low battery then you may need to check wether any application is intercepting your default settings.

you did not answer my question...
it happened when my phone went into critical mode maybe it was just an bug because after it died and I turned it back on they were on.
My second post. Which rom are you using? If you do not use any tweaked version nor any battery saver app, system won't turn off the light.

i'm on stock.
thanks but you were wrong it does.

Mine shut off once the battery gets critically low, also screen dims even though I have auto brightness off.
It makes sense why it does that though.

After updating to JB on my S3 I get a green LED notification when the screen is locked and in standby...I have no notifications and I do not have any LED control apps installed....

I have always (even on ICS) had a solid green notification LED when I had screen off and charging with the battery is full. Is that what you are seeing?
It's at 72% and NOT on the charger. Just sitting on my desk or wherever.....Doesn't seem to do it immediately after locking takes about 30 seconds. It only started after the update... Also turned of LED notifications of ALL kind in the settings and it still does it...
Think it's service led just letting you know you have cell coverage like some other phones

I downloaded light flow and changed it

If I reboot it goes away until I get a message then it comes back after I've removed the message....
