You flashed an RUU to revert to Stock Gingerbread right? Stock Gingerbread requires the stock hboot, CM7r2 is not big enough to contain it. Hence the HTC logo and 4!. Go and flash hboot downgrader from AlphaRev and reflash RUU again. The 4! screen acts as fastboot so just fastboot flash from that screen.

the problem is solved by installing custom hboot....
Im currently having problems installing the official ruu, it requires for me to download and install htc sync which i have, my mate did a factory reset on the custom rom which messed it up!, Im having difficulty installing custom roms, I only managed to install miui that works, but htc sync isnt picking it up, the rest dont boot up just stay at htc screen, is there any way to install it via bootloader? or anyone provide a official rom that will install?, Its got cm7/r2 hboot, I just need to make it official please, any help will do, thanks

try my guide. Since you're on cm7r2 hboot remember to flash bravo stock before you use the RUU
Essentially, all you can do is fastboot flash hboot downgrade.img then RUU again.

changed the title of my thread.. so now maybe it's a little more obvious as to what it contains and maybe people will actually bother to look..
The problem is partly possibly that the stickies in the app are in a different tab

Use your other android phone for the goldcard. Then flash the 2.2 WWE RUU. If that fails, use the 2.3 one.
Thanx bortak, i'll try..
Bortak, why adb still cant find my device? for Fastboot it's ok...
I'm preety sure you won't be able to do what you're up to with Alpharev cause you have 0.93 hboot, you need revolutionary for that.
But, if you use 2.2 RUU it can happen to downgrade hboot to 0.88 so then you can try with Alpharev.

Alpharev is ok with 0.93(mine was 0.93 and 2.29.405.5) but it is obsolete and requires stock rooted ROM (unrevoked root must be done prior s-off procedure), revolutionary can do everything in one go I prefer Revolutionary

Thanx Bortak!... I managed to flash the WWE RUU 2.3... I make the goldcard from my Galaxy Note...
Ok, next guide me on how to;
1. S-Off
2. Upgrade my Desire to Cyanogenmod 7 or Cyanogenmod 9 (which is stable...)

Like kotag said revolutionary. But before flashing of rom I suggest you to upgrade recovery, because revolutionary installs some old version. My recommendation is 4ext, install 4ext recovery updater and then flash recovery from it.

Hello,
I wanted to install CM10 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1945441)
on my HTC desire.
It is rooted-soff (I am running MIUI 2 indeed) and got ClockworkMod 5.8 (the latest from their official site).
When I download and try to install the above mentioned rom I always get an error with code "7".
Any clues ?
Thanks in advance to anyone helping.
Wrong hboot. Flash stock hboot and try again.

Edit:
now I understood, and writing here the solution:
I had my htc desire with th4e Apharev CM7 partition table. This wasn't allowing me to install the new CM10.
I flashed the stock partition table, from the alpharev site, and then installation worked.
Thanks for helping me

No, it won't make you s-on.
Anyway, you have the stock hboot if you didn't change it. Try flashing it again (The rom), then, if it doesn't work, flash the stock hboot from the alpharev site.
i am now on cm7r2 hboot i found many roms cant be installed on ....
so i used another hboot (alpharev ) as it flashes most of rom
but i need to reset it to stock hboot and i dont know its name ... is it revolutionary or what???
and i want to know which is best ...that hboots or the stock one

Flash the stock hboot from alpharev similar to the way you flashed cm7r2.
There is nothing like best hboot. Its just partitions your phones internal memory.
