[Q] CM7 for 0% battery problem - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys can someone here please make a patched CM7 kernel to work on 0% battery problem arcs? Because I really want cm7 on my phone but with 0% problem I can't use it without being charged. I tried using the patched doomkernel by bazoocaze but it freezes everytime.

You must go to service center to fix 0% battery problem.
I did that way :/

For some reasons I don't want to go to service center... So can someone make a patch for CM7 Kernel?

Or how to fake the battery report... to modify the battery level so it won't shut down when unplugging the USB cable

no you cant do it free...
some chip inside phone (on motherboard) is flashed incorrectly and cant be fixed that easily.
For more info click here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1278213

I KNOW that. I asked for a patched cm7 kernel, as bazoocaze did with doomkernel and for some reasons I don't want to use the warranty. So please someone help me by the way I want.

Is there a way to patch the FXP kernel by myself ?

[Q] Phone shuts down after 100% charge.

Dear forum,
My girlfriends Desire (Rooted, S-OFF, latest LeeDroid ROM) keeps shutting itself off everytime it charges up to 100% battery.
If charged below 100% the problem does not occur. She had the same problem when she was running CM Insert Coin ROM, wich was flashed the same day the I rooted and S-OFF'ed her phone.
If you need more info, just ask ;-)
Any suggestions for a fix?
this is what i would do:
1) try an AOSP Rom (CM7 or Oxygen)
this way you will check if it sense related (but i dont think it is even possible that sense could be the cause)
2) go back to stock with a RUU
if problem still persist, it probably would be a hardware fault - send it to HTC @ repair, or if not possible try a diffrent battery or finally - dont ever charge your phone to 100%

my phone has some problems

hello,I need your help...My SE neo has some problems.
BTW,my English is not good...
My neo's System version is 2.3.2(rooted).
Some days ago,I update it to 2.3.3 by FOTA,and I lose...because I deleted some system apps.
Then I flash it to 2.3.2 by FL,and then root it.
When I reboot the neo, the battery icon is red,and system show me that the battery only has 1% power.I plug charger ,the Battery status show me the battery is discharging.I am sure it's a bug, because before I flash the neo,it has full power...
I flash it(wipe userdata) again and again,no matter HK version or Global version, the bug still be.
But if I flash it to 2.3.3,the neo is normal.
So,I only need my phone is 2.3.3 and rooted...
What can I do?I need your help...
I had the exact same problem on my Arc when I downgraded to 2.3.2. I fixed it by removing the battery and reinserting it.
Do you fix it?
Yes, that solved the issue.

[Q] [Arc S] Battery stuck at 100% on stock ROM

Hey guys,
I wonder if someone can help and point me in the right direction to fix a battery issue I am having. I have a Sony Xperia Arc S LT18i, it's run stock ICS, with the bootloader unlocked, rooted and a bit of the c**pware removed.
My battery keeps getting stuck at 100%.
I tried the following:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2408612
I tried wiping the battery stats in CWM but that doesn't work either. AFAIK the battery apps in GPlay just do the same thing.
From kernels I have tried Lupus, ArcKnight, StockICS and Advanced Stock. I use Link2SD and I believe the stock Sony kernel does not provide support?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2320872
So I can flash Lupus (or any boot.img) and flash back to stock, the battery meter is correct. As soon as I remove the battery, to either fix a freeze or to remove the memory card the battery meter jumps back up to 100% again. So I have to flash and reflash back to stock...
Anyone have the same issue? How can I fix this? I don't always have a computer with me to fix it
thanks
Ran into same issue. Solution? Don't remove your battery for every little single thing.
And changing kernel easily fixed the issue for me.

Well this is what I have been doing, but only since I realised what was causing the issue. Changing the kernel temporarily fixes the issue, until I remove the battery again, and then I need to reflash it. Problem is I am not always by a computer to be able to reflash the boot.img and it also makes my spare battery completely useless.

I started with a clean install of stock ICS restored back with Sony Flashtool. Maybe I need to do this again and just be careful in every step.
I was hoping there was a simpler fix, like a specific kernel that resolved this issue so i didn't have to reinstall all my apps and settings
thanks for the replies
Thanks for the replies. For anyone else that stumbles on this thread, I managed to finally resolve my issue.
After trying numerous stock kernels, the issue was resolved by flashing Rush Kernel V13 (and the required WiFi modules).
I can now change the battery and remove the sd card without battery meter issues. Everything seems stable so far (1 day of usage) and battery life seems good.

I used the Rush kernel, but I am on Stock Sony ROM 4.0.4 (ICS) as I mentioned in the post above yours. You should be able to JUST flash the kernel ans try a few of them out, I tried about 5 or 6 before I found one that worked correctly.
I'm not sure which kernels you could use with CM11 though...
Delete battery stats in CWM>advanced if you are on rooted phone, it always solves issue.
Same problem with me too on kitkat roms... Stuck 100% and power off at 30%

You must retry a complete process for installing a new ROM
either:
1) flash the stock ftf file to your device 4.1.B.0.587 using FlashTool
2) flash the recovery from the new ROM with the command
fastboot erase boot
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
3) Flash the new ROM from CWM
I've had this problem by returning a custom CWM to the original ROM and this solution worked
I had this problem too (I bought my phone second hand so not sure whether it's had ROMs changed etc). |
What fixes it for me (so far) is to just let the phone totally run out of battery - then leave it off (no need to remove the battery) for 10-12 hours and then plug it in to charge.
battery showing 100%
i have same issue in my phone.i have tried a lot of techniques but one of them was successful .i turned my phone off for 7-8 hous but still kept my battery in my phone.after this,i turned it on and it worked:laugh: ......this olny worked unless i pull out battery from phone..turning off phone does not effect
what Solution?
For me, idem.
I have used more ROMs on my Arc S...ICS, JB 4.1.2, CM11....now I'm coming back to original (flashing stock ftf with flashtool, root it...and when I change SD, and start phone, 100% it's showed (real was 34% before) so, after few hours, shutdown with 100%->0% and die.
I try to charge, but led it's GREEN, and battery it's showed full. When I disconnect charger, phone after a minutes shutdown itself. If I reconnect to charger, 100% was show again...and so on....
I'm on Advance Stock Kernel....I have wipe battery stats before reboot...nothing....
How fix?
RESOLVED: Leave battery on phone turned off for all night...this morning, turn on and shows 10% percent of battery and recharged correctly.
Same problem
Hi i am having the same problem. Had your problem been fixed. If so kindly help me too

After a few days (while it's stuck i haven't tried those in forum(s)) just after the phone out of battery i've used my other charger, than when i started phone, saw that it was ok. Now it's solved by itself for me. know that this isn't a solution at all, Writing this for an idea about what to do...
i was lucky in this case. so good luck.
a little help maybe
try using arcknight kernel 3.5.1 with the wifi module, everything is fine with me, Xperia Arc LT15i with stock ROM and Xperia Apps.. I'm not shure about other devices

Battery State Showing always 100% after flushng LegacyXperia CM11

Dear All,
I am having Xperia Pro MK16i
I am having problem in battery percentage output shown by android system, after flushing custom kernal which is supplied with legacyXPERIA CM11 rom (no issue at this time) and than I return back to stock ICS kernal, the battery is showing always 100%. Even if I connect charger it shows me charged.
Before flushing legacyXPERIA CM11 kernal, I have tired so many different custom kernal but, I like CM10, 10.1, NaA 3.4.0 kernal and return back to stock ICS, I was not having this issue any time.
For recovery of this issue I have tried to flush again the legacyXPERIA CM11 kernal (it will show the correct battery percentage) and get back to stock ICS will agnain show battery 100%. Than I tried to flush jush my backuped stock GB rom (it will show the correct battery percentage) and get back to stock ICS will show correct battery percentage.
Also the important thing it that, I found that this problem is happening every time i remove the battery.
If any one can help me, please give your suggestions what to do.
Thanks in advance

I had the same problem too; the only solution I found out to solve the problem was switching to lupus kernel ( on stock ics ). Try wiping everything flash the latest official firmware with flash tool and then flash lupus kernel for stock ics and see if your battery return to work properly:good:
flash lupus kernel if you are on the stock kernel
Just flash any kernel difrernt from stock.
LuPuS v16 for example if you on 4.1.B.0.587 based firmware.
it worked..
Thanks everyone.. i reflashed the kernal again and it started working.. normally again.:laugh:
*cheers*
