I can say that for sure the cases probably wont... Otherwise, the vibrant, captivate, and original galaxy s all have micro usb charging and a 3.5 mm headphone jack according to pdadb.net. I would double check chargers to make sure the voltage lines up and ofc never plug a U.S. phone into a European wall charger even if its micro usb. That aside they also all share bluetooth 3.0 and that website also states they have identical screen sizes.
Hope that answers your question .
However, nothing is guaranteed till lots of people own the phone and can testify on what works and what doesn't.
With the caveat that I haven't seen any of them in person, from eyeballing the various videos of the 4 US models -- and the original SGS -- it looks like certain accessories (think car mounting kits, etc.) won't be sharable between at least some of the units. The Sprint and ATT versions of the SGS are the most unusual in form factor.
From watching a Hands on Video, The SGS and the Captivate have a different form factor.
The most important accessory for me is the car mount so I have no idea how the accessories will work but I can't see them being the same.
Vibrant Yes Captivate No
From what i can tell from the many pictures I've see online. T-mobile has decided to keep the exact same form and desine as the galaxy s. So the accessories should fit. While ATT has had their galaxy s redesigned and relabled the i897. There New form factor does not look like it will fit any of the original's cases. I hope this helps........
the case probably does, and mayb some other things, but not entireley because the outer casing did change a bit...
muffled speaker
the case may fit on the captivate, although not exactly, BUT, if you look at the back there has been a realignment of the speaker on the captivate, thus your speaker would be muffled by and original galaxy s case.

seems like no
Looks like samsung has 1800 mAh battery for the new Epic touch 4G. Looks very similar to Galaxy S series battery. It will be great if it fits vibrant!
Look at 1:50 into the below video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bORdFDO8318&feature=BFa&list=WL068AB326C5F0012A&lf=BFp
In short: No.
Don't quote me but it might be slightly taller, it's hard to tell from the video though.
Some guy that works for sprint tried to claim yes it 100% will in another thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16581557&postcount=10
But I don't really believe him.
If its like the international SGS2 battery then as posted, its too tall.
Someone go to a sprint store when those hit and try one. Just ask for a device, debox and try the battery haha.
Two things I noticed since I posted....the connectors on the battery are on right side for epic touch and left side for vibrant? And epic touch being 4.5 inch screen phone it is possible that battery is bigger albeit same shape :-(
Keep following the link I posted, now its looking like the guy may be right. Its not confirmed yet.

Thanks for pointing me to that thread. One thing for sure the epic touch 4G battery is different from other galaxy s2 variants as it is seen in the video I posted. They guy may be even right it physically fits into old epic (that means vibrant too). But I have to see if the connectors on the right versus left is a deal braker.
Okay, looking at the video the battery goes into the new phone with the side with mAh printed inwards. In vibrant that side is outwards! So this could mean position of the connectors is not an issue I am still hopeful.
Can someone check it in a store already?

edit: never mind, misunderstood
Sent from my rough sketch of a Vibrant on a brick.
I just checked at a sprint store and the battery will fit our vibrant! It is the same size and shape as our normal batteries. I didn't power the phone cause it was packaged but the size will fit and it is indeed an 1800mah.

EDIT: On second thought, I didn't ask the rep if I can buy one and the Sprint website doesn't appear to sell them as of yet. Anyone know of any good sources to get these batteries?

From epic 4g forum. But someone is reporting that some filing is required to fit the battery. Can you confirm it fits vibrant without filing?
Actually I read that forum and ppl seem to now agree they work perfect. I also saw that site but it ships the 26th of next month? That's stupid late lol.

So in the sprint store where you tried, it was a spare battery for sale or they took it off a phone?
I would guess it will take some time for spares and accessories to be available after phone is launched. Oct end looks reasonable in my opinion. We never managed to find a spare 1650 mah from Vibrant 4G even today!!
They took it off a new phone they unboxed. So yeah, who can find one online that is sold now should speak up. Preferably under $40.
The October 26th shipping is way in the future as of now.

Seems a little weird they're the only place to be offering this, and at a good discount with free shipping? I'm skeptical, but this sure would be nice if its real! Anyone ever ordered from mobilecityonline before?

So is it confirmed that the 1800mAH battery will fit AND work properly in the vibrant?
Is mobilecityonline selling legit 1800mAH batteries for the Epic 4G Touch or is it going to be more like a knockoff 1500 mAH or less like buying from overseas?
There are more than one person in the epic 4g forums saying the battery fits epic 4g and so most probably vibrant. vice versa is hard fit it seems. I am sure if you give 1 month or so from now, these will appear in sprint stores. ATT version has different battery, looks similar to international galaxy s2.

Ok, Fit...check, but what about the usability? This is kind of an old thread so I don't know if the problem has been fixed or not:

I just don't want the battery to be a single use item.
Found some docks on Amazon for the Galaxy Note and just wondering if anyone else has seen these or if people think they'll work with the Nexus.
This one looks like it charges in portrait and can also hold the phone in landscape, and has a spare battery charger but probably won't work on the Nexus. It's hard to tell if the Nexus would fit this.
This one looks basic enough where the Nexus should fit even with a case.
Ended up buying this one and it came in today. Haven't played with it much but it will work. There is enough spacing for the Nexus even with a case (diztronic). However the plug is a little short and will only fully connect with the case off. Since the platform is flat there isn't the best stability being the Nexus bottom is rounded. I'm gonna try to put a little curve to the platform so I can keep the case on and hopefully give it better stability.
I think its just disgusting that the Galaxy Nexus has been out for almost 4 months now, and the Galaxy Note, which has been out for about a month or two, already has an official Samsung dock as well as multiple third party docks as well. OMFG >.>
EDIT: and the most appalling part is that the Galaxy Nexus literately has pins SPECIFICALLY for a dock, yet the Note still has a dock! LMFAO

Actually, the galaxy note came out in October last year. The nexus was December I think?
So it's had a 2 month head start.
Curious if anyone has one or knows of a manufacturer that is selling them. I would like to start running and biking with a bit more comfort as I find the screen to large to keep in my pocket when doing these activities.
Thanks!
You might look into the Tune Belt AB85. There's a video on YouTube where the guys shows how it holds a Galaxy Note so surely the S3 would fit. The AB86 is designed for the Galaxy Nexus so you might look into that too. I own a Tune Belt that works with my Galaxy S2 and I found it to be a good product.

Funny you mentioned Tunebelt, I just received a message from one of their customer reps that the Galaxy Nexus model should fit the S3 perfectly.
Can be purchased directly or through Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Tune-Belt-Arm...2572943&sr=8-1&keywords=Tunebelt+galaxy+nexus
Similarly I managed to make my Droid X Tunebelt accommodate the S3 (after some minor alterations )

Also note there's a thread already dedicated to this discussion:

Has anyone tried the AB86 model? I have a smaller TuneBelt that I used with my HTC Desire, and there is no way that you can get headphones in with the S3 going in to the holder top-first (as I'd want to use it), as the neoprene covers exactly where the headphones are. There are only gaps in the corners and middle. It would work going in bottom-first, as then the headphone access would be at the open end.
Does the AB86 model improve this to allow headphone access from either end with the S3?
I've been happy with the build quality of the TuneBelt. Another cheaper but similar looking alternative that I've seen is from iGadgitz http://www.igadgitz.com/products/fi...for-samsung-galaxy-s3-iii-i.html#.UEi0oo1lQs4
That's specifically for the S3, so should definitely have the correct headphone access, as well as labelling where buttons are. Has anybody got any feedback on this?
I wasn't too happy with how the TuneBelt fit, so I returned it and picked up a Belkin EaseFit Plus. It's a much better fit for both my arm and the phone. My only complaint is that, despite it's claims, it is most decidedly not sweat-proof. Maybe it is from the front, but not so at all from the back. The TuneBelt seemed to do a somewhat better job at keeping the phone dry from sweat, probably because the fabric is heavier/thicker.
I have a T-Mobile T889 Note 2. My girlfriend has a Verizon s3, and when she purchased it she also bought a wireless back cover that was identical to the original, but it would let you set it on a charging pillow or stand. I see the same item out there for the Note 2, but they all say for the n7100. Will a n7100 back wireless charging cover work on my T889?
One of the reasons I like my girlfriends cover is because both the the Note 2 and s3 are an awesome looking phones, and I don't like covering them up with bulky cases. I noticed when she put her wireless back cover on, it gave her s3 a heftier feel and it felt better and more solid in my hand. That's kind of what I'm looking for if this n7100 back will work for me. Thanks.
There are a couple of ongoing threads for wireless charging on the Note 2, over in the Original Development section. I suggest reading them.
