Verizon Replacement? - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

I got a warranty replacement and have to send in the old one back to Verizon. My question is how do I sent it back? Do I send it back in the box they sent me or do I use the cardboard that says, "Do not throw away..."? I'm assuming it is the cardboard but the cardboard has a square hole in it and if I fold it up it seems like the phone could get crush during shipment.

There are instructions when sending it back. Place it in the enclosure that your replacement came in, but keep the battery and back cover. Shipping label is included.

Ruggedized battery cover

Ok so I was asked to update this post. Some of the information found throughout the thread is below:
The battery cover can be found at: cnn.cn
(thank you NoNameAtAll from this post)
The cnn.cn part is just the case, no retail packaging (ie. no media dock adapter.)
jjwatmyself in post says that you remove the insert in the car dock and it will fit the atrix with the battery cover.
digital.aaron in post has some pictures with the cover on the phone.
jjwatmyself has some pictures here.
digital.aaron says in this post: it's very different from Otterbox's rubber. It hasn't picked up any fuzz from my pocket, and I've got on fleece sweatpants. Used to be a nightmare for my 'Box'd iPhone.
Some problems people were are having, the sides are flimsy (you get used to this) and the different colors seem to have different textures.
=============OLD POST===========================
I bought the atrix from AT&T and I ordered a ruggedized battery cover from some website for $30 w/ shipping. My question is as I have neither yet, does anyone have the cover and is it good? Does it feel like it will protect the phone a bit and help hold the phone in the hand?

I'd be interested in this too. Asked a while back and it seemed no one has tried them, because there were no responses. I don't want to spend $30 on one if it feels cheap or doesn't fit right

Well, if no one else has tried I already ordered it so when I get both phone and cover in I will update this thread. It might be a while as I am stationed in Japan so my mom will be sending me the phone Tuesday or Wednesday and it may take a week or two to get here.
oh by the way I ordered mine from After market Cellular. Anyone have any dealings with them, are they honest?
This is the specific one I bought:

I've been looking at one of these batter covers but several sites that I have checked show an estimated ship date or out of stock. Have you received a shipping confirmation for the battery cover yet?
These are rubberized battery covers and thus replace the stock plastic cover. They are from Motorola and are rumored to be out about April 15th. This is why several places show "out of stock", because they aren't out yet.
I have not recieved a shipping confermation, but the store was not showing them as out of stock r estimated shipping date. Now that a320ca said they are nto supposed to be out until the 15th I am worried that the store is a sham because it never told me that.
FYI, I just called them and they said they are out of stock of the Blue one. She asked if I wanted her to check stock on the Green one but I already knew what the answer would be. Store doesn't appear to be a sham but then again, you might want to look into your order if are expecting it sooner than later.
I hope there will be pictures of the cover when people get them. I an intensely eyeballing the green one.
I've also ordered one, from 123cellsupply.com.
I don't have a shipping confirmation yet, either. I've put in several emails to find out the status, but no response yet.
Does the ruggedized battery cover wrap around the front at all, to provide a small protective lip around the screen?
Has anyone actually seen one of these in person?
These are in stock in my local bell store for 29.95. I might consider getting one of these

Really? Where's your local Bell? In the GVA by any chance? I ordered one from Bell online, because it didn't seem like there were any in stock in the Bell stores here in Vancouver... Admittedly, I didn't try very hard to find them.
But my order is still pending, turns out they're out of stock online...
Can someone show me a link?
I have googled and not found nothing related to what I think you guys are talking about.

Anyone manage to get one of these yet?

Yes it wraps around the entire phone
They do look nice.... but to be honest, if it's actually silicon.... i dunno if i'd want it. That's basically my issue with the Otterbox cases. That outside cover attracts dust from alternate dimensions of your pocket. I can't imagine what the rugged battery cover might look like if it's the same material.
i want!! thats simply awesome. i wish amazon had green dangit

I let my cousin play with it and somehow he lost it at public place.
That is hardcore, sorry to hear it. You may have to contact Samsung about a new back cover.

or wait a couple of weeks, and lots of it would be available on ebay for cheap, in assorted colors and designs as usual
luckily the antenna is not built into the cover like HTC phones
Samsung will replace it for you most likely. I know that my friend purchased a phone off Craigslist without the back cover and the imei was reported stolen to Samsung. They wouldn't help him out.
Often times when there's a missing back cover the phone has been stolen from a retail store. There's an adhesive puck that's placed and super glued onto the back cover.

Very true. I'm a retail rep and we super glue the hell out of the phones to the pucks. Many times I'll have some ghetto looking peeps come in asking for back covers because they lost theirs (probably lost it when trying to yank the phones off the puck lol)

i was just saying this in another thread. but because of the newness of our phones, there is a shortage in cheap accessories for it. but as time goes on they will come. have you called Samsung or t mobile? they might could order you one. im sure they'll charge a bunch tho...
your local Tmo might have a returned SGS II with an extra battery door. I know when i worked for Tmo all we had to return would be the main part of the phone and the battery (and even this wasnt required to be returned some times). We kept all the other items in a bin for customers so we could help them out, an extra charger, 1gb micro sd card etc.

OMG!!! I need a battery cover!!!
Anybody know where I can find a battery cover? I bought a Galaxy S2 off of CL, brand new for $250, but the dude lost the box and battery cover. He gave it to me with one of those rubber skins on it, it gets the job done I guess. I've never really been a fan of those skins because I like my skinny, sexy ass phone to stay skinny and sexy. I tried Ebay, Google, T-mobile stores and bupkis. Help me!!!!!!!!
Just call Samsung and tell them that you have broken the cover, they will send you a new one for free or a minimal charge
hmm... i'd be surprised if it ain't one of those stolen demos from phone store displays
wish you luck the IMEI is not black listed
otherwise you got a very nice $250 T989 WiFi Tablet

thats what i was thinking also.
Nah I don't think so. Dude actually had 2 of them, the one he was using, and this one. He said this one was his wives and she didn't want it, plus they needed money. He told me they moved recently and put the phone in his pocket so the movers wouldn't be tempted to steal it. I dunno, seemed legit to me. It's working good for 2 days so far, I even took it to a T-mobile store today looking for a battery cover. I dunno, guess I'll find out sooner or later.

Rear Cover Replacement

Hi guys, i really need help. Can anyone point me to a reputable seller online, about note 2 accessories. Coz i want to replace my rear cover, not the detachable one that covers the battery, the sim and the sd card. The one that is screwed on the frame. The one that holds the antennas, wi.fi, 3g and gps..
coz from here (Philippines), the guys from samsung wont sell it unless it is with the entire display, the screen, the digitizer and everythng, and man, its very expensive, plus, they wouldnt allow me to replace it myself. Thats why i came here.
I want to replace mine, coz the part of it that is visible outside the fon, the one outlining the fon, that silver.coated plastic edges, has obtain really bad scratches, and i hate seeing it.
Please help me guys.

[Q] Cracked my screen - Premium Handset Protection (PHP)?

Hi, I have the Assurant Premium Handset Protection (PHP), which was required when I got my S4. It apparently is covered, although it looks like a $175 deductible is in place. Anyone have PHP and have cracked their screens? Curious about the process.
Thanks!
Call 611 tell them u cracked your screen. Asurion will ask you when u last used your phone, ask you some identity verification questions snd charge your credit/debit card 175... I got a brand new phone still sealed... nb4 modem 4.3 firmware .....

When you get sorted purchased a Urban Armor Gear case and Tech Armor Ballistic Glass. Tempered glass costs $15, looks way better than regular screen protectors and will take the hit for your screen if you drop it.
Just got my replacement yesterday. ..next day service. They sent me a brand new sealed replacement, and I now have an extra charger, spare battery, and headphones. All I have to send back is the phone itself. I'm even keeping my extra back cover. Also had the 4.3 mk2 Knox bootloader...did the OTA update to 4.4.2/nb4 modem...haven't re-rooted yet.

They tried to tell me that PHP is required too but that was just a sales pitch. They make profit from selling that insurance. I'm using the warranty provided by my credit card and have a really low deductible of around $25. The next day replacement does sound like good service though.

I got a Note 3, which pretty much improves upon everything of the S4, but is really stretching the limits of how big a phone I can deal with. I never dropped the S4 or S2 out of my hand, but I feel like I'm on the verge of it a lot with the Note. So I ordered an S4 glass lens replacement and am going to attempt to fix it myself for cheap. If I succeed, I'll probably return the Note and stick with the S4, but I'll miss the Note a lot. Hopefully I can pull it off. If I fail, I've got the Note, which is otherwise incredible. So for $6 I may be back running with the S4 or I could sell it to offset the price of the Note.

Turns out they are backordered. In order to replace it, you need some needlenose pliers to pull the anchor out of the phone part. If you just rip it, you likely won't be able add a new one.

It's also very easy to replace the cover if you just undo the screws on the lower half of the phone and gently lift that part of the back slightly off. Just enough to have the space to fit in your new cover!

I haven't purchased extras yet but I can't see why the eBay ones wouldn't work.
I don't know of videos specifically for this but you can check out videos of basic S4 Active disassembling to see where the screws are etc. It's a very minor job.
Tonight I tried forcing one into place with an eyeglass screwdriver and it worked great, so I guess you don't even have to unscrew the back of the phone! You learn something every day

Wow that's very interesting. I just found that if I push the port in a certain way it closes fully. I shove the right side in all the way and then push up on the part closest to the screen and its very secure.

How long are you guys finding that your cover lasted for before needing to be replaced? I've had mine for over 2 years and I haven't had any problems with it.
Mine lasted for about 2.5 years (was slowly falling off, then ripped) the first branch of covers (same as you can find by the links in the first post) that has gray rubber insert was somewhat defective, it can be ripped easily and not closing securely all the time, so Samsung actually replaces them in service centers, I know guy who took his phone to service with faulty display and they replaced display and cover to one similar to Galaxy S5 with flat white rubber insert. I got new one from service for about 5$ and this is a newer one (same as S5's) and to replace it, you just need to undo bottom screws, then easily with fingernail you can lift up back of the phone just a little bit, and old cover (just a piece of it in my case) will fall off, so you just need to put the new one and put button screws back (decorative, round plastic bits you can take off with needle, there are tiny groove for it).

Can you post some photos of it? I'm wondering what's so much better about the new ones. I've had mine for 2.5 years as well and haven't seen any signs of wear and tear yet.
Well, first of all, the rubber base is secured better on the plastic cover itself so rubber won't gonna rip off as easy (mine riped off from plastic about a year ago, and now rubber itsetf brake) if you happy with yours, thats good because as for me I didn't had another choise. Before installing new cover I took pictures of new and old, here they are.
I know this probably a dead link, but is the port door made of rubber or hard plastic? It seems to be made of hard plastic.
