I thought I'll compile a list of IMP apps that are missing. If someone knows a decent alternative to these please suggest.

BTW, InternetExplorer doesn't support my banks online banking

BeejiveIM > Fring and Palringo. Beejive is more apt to use Push Notifications, removing the need to multitask the App, ever... It's expensive, though. I downloaded the Android trial and 2 days later Facebook added chat. Byebye Beejive

The first smartphone OS to offer a worthy alternative to Blackberry Messenger will win big, I think
Microsoft said they won't disallow apps that duplicate functionality, but I don't know if they'll allow you to change the default browser.

That would be very bad. Opera Mini is even available on iPhone.
It's the best solution to browse when travelling.

after how many years though?
the reason you won't see opera/firefox/chrome on wp any time soon is due to the restrictions still on the languages. wp uses VB/C#, which does not allow for C++ which a lot of these more complex programs are written in. Though OEMs have capabilities to write native code.

I am pretty satisfied for the most part with the apps on my HD7 but I do want Skydrive integration and limited multitasking for apps like LastFM.
Bing also should be updated to match the superior iPhone app.

Many things have to be improved.
IE is great but lacks support for many features.

I got an app for amazon in "testing" in the marketplace. I can give out the xap if you like it, It's gonna be free anyway.
It has limited functionality at this time, but I'm improving it as I found new things to add.

1. Official Google Voice App - I know it might be a problem to intercept outgoing calls and/or using GV when you tap "Send Text" from the People Hub, but an official app from Google would probably be more fluid than what's available now. GVoice is a good solution for now, but it could use some small improvements. Who better to do that than Google?
2. I know emulators are not allowed, but I'd like to see a homebrew PSX and SNES Emulator. I'd definately pay the developer for it, Paypal maybe since Marketplace won't allow it... that's how it's done for WinMo.

there was a tool to download free app off Market place in XAP , i will find it and post it for you guys, hang on.
It is currently not visible on marketplace?

Not available in all markets
The Skype Beta seems to be limited to certain markets. I cannot download it in Germany. Hopefully Microsoft is extending the Beta to more countries soon.
EDIT: The Zune Link is not working, but the web marketplace link (from Skype Blog) is working in Germany.

Now I have one reason less to hate WP
ultrashot implemented RAPI (WMDC runs and gives full access to file system and registry from PC), you pointed on Skype...
Now - I miss only VPN .... and probably REPL....

I put a note upthere, confirmed it work with IE only, haven't tried on Firefox and Opera.

Anyone who can't download properly, please look at post 1 for updated link for web version, please let me know if you still can't download.

Also I have a greek friend in my list and his name does not pop up in the contacts, but it does pop up when I click the plus to start a conversation...
But its a beta of course. Ow weird, I'm restarting the app now and the greek name shows up now, very strange haha. Never mind then.
I hope they can somehow use the ringtone when there would be an incoming skype call. This is what prevents tango from working correctly atm.
Unfortunately the design is not as nice as the mockups joe belfiore showed a year ago (!). But its better than nothing and I'm certainly happy with it, have been wanting this for long time

I can't download it, I get an error message saying I need a "newer version of Windows Phone". There is no update available for my device, HTC Mozart on Orange UK. Any ideas?

I put it onto my LG Optimus Quantum using Application Deployment and seems to be working great.

You can only download it directly on the phone. Zune on the Desktop only work for US users (because zune:// links don't support a locale parameter). It's not searchable in the marketplace either.
I recommend using the QR code in the official blog post.

You need Windows Phone 7.5 "Mango" to install it.

Why not just get it from the marketplace? What's the point of side-loading it?

I would say people try it with IE. Yes, i mean Internet Explorer

i recommend try the Marketplace Link instead of the Zune Link.

Windows Phone 7.8 Bluetooth Share and Ringtone Maker

Guys, the Bluetooth Share and Ringtone Maker is available on Marketplace for those that already upgrade to WP 7.8.
What you have to do is first download app on Marketplace called QR Code Reader and scan this QR code which will bring you to the Bluetooth Share and Ringtone Maker app on marketplace.
PS: Searching the app name for Ringtone Maker and Bluetooth Share on Marketplace will bring you nothing (In my case). Its likely been hide by Nokia.
EDIT: Looks like Nokia already block Lumia 900 owner who are trying to install this 2 app from marketplace saying "its not available for your phone". But i manage to get it before its been block. In fact this 2 app work like a charm on my Lumia 900 (Already send & receive file with Sony Xperia). Its not like the app is not compatible, more like Nokia trying to prevent Lumia 900 user from installing this 2 app. Sory for that.
EDIT 2: I have successfully send and receive picture and mp3 file with sony xperia..but, theres no support for video file. u can receive video file, but u can't send yours, and even u have receive the file, an error saying this type of file didn't not support by this app will came out. this is really suck. Wish this app is not the final version.

i didnt bother with the QR scanner the built in search feature allows you to do visual searches on QR codes natively and it is faster.
for those who need aren't clear on how just press the search button on the phone then tap on the eye symbol and then hold the camera upto the QR codes. it'll match them to the respective URL's which you tap and the rest should be obvious.

now thats weird, im using myself..no such error..i even sending and receiving file from my lil brother sony xperia..Nokia already blocked it mybe?
Edit: a quick check for the qr code that i post above..looks like its not working anymore,mybe its been block by Nokia already..but i manage to get it before Nokia blocking it.

i dont know if there is app which can rip app from wp. i dont think theres a way to transfer app between wp.

The requirement for these 2 app is WP 7.8, i dont think theres WP 7.8 variant for AT&T right now. Even if u already get the WP 7.8, Nokia already blocked these 2 app from being install on Lumia 900. So, the only way is to wait for an official release on January

i tod only lumia 900 user were blocked from installing these 2 apps? O.O, but thats not surprise, becoz WP 7.8 that we used right now is meant to pre-production device. So, better wait for the official one.

Is there anyway to install those apps in HTC devices??
Note that my HTC HD7 is Officially Developer Unlocked, I tried to deploy the .xap files but both but didn't work

Windows Maps doesn't render streets (W10M CU)

Hello,
I have a problem with Windows 10 Mobile with maps. No matter the application, whether it's Windows Maps, Uber or any other application that uses Windows maps, the streets are not rendered. The issue came as soon as I updated to the Creators Update (Lumia 1020) (right now I'm on Slow Ring). I tried with and without offline maps, I also tried with maps from other countries, but the problem is the same. There is no route rendered when looking for directions, the only thing on the street is the live traffic (when you activate it).*When you zoom out enough, the streets are rendered in small detail.
Is there a corrupt library? Do I have any solution to solve this problem? I've uninstalled the app using Interop Tools, also tried with an older version of Windows Maps app, but with no luck.

This is a known issue on the x2x line of phones. So far, there's not a fix for this.

I happen to be the same, I recommend gmap pro that can be used without data
L1020

Nokia 925 and Nokia 1020 gpu is not compatibile with aniversity update or creators update.
Compatibile only first edition of windows 10, you can even use here maps on 1.st edition on win10, but then you are stuck with old versions of all other software.
Try Sygic, or Garmin, GeoNET.
With N925 on Win10CU I didn't have luck with Sygic it's rendering better than windows maps, but have slow refresh rate, and win10 doesn't support external gps receiver in apps, like symbian

so im gonna have to go back to 8.1 and from there do the whole thing. is there really an improvement from the AU to the fall creators update? is it worth it. i mean. if i do this again to go back to AU, will I have Here Maps? i believe glance is available also, but skype its not.

i own a Lumia 1020 updated to Redstone 3. i lost glance and Here Maps/Drive. instead i got windows maps BUT the problem with windows maps is that i can not see the roads. so if i go back to Redstone 1 (Anniversary update) will i get back Here apps?
is it possible to go back to AU? as i said, im on redstone 3. the only way i see it happening its that i go back to 8.1 and from there climb back to rdstone 1....

you never get back Here apps!!!! no mater which W10M build you use...did you understand? is finito... dead... kaput...
i recommended AU because WINDOWS MAPS working fine not Here...
to get back to AU you must use WDRT to back to 8.1 and upgrade again to W10M but now use Lumia x30 info to update only to AU

hahahaha my my. alright! i get it. Here Maps its dead. ok.
So if i get back to AU windows maps will work fine with streets showing and everything. I read somewhere that the reason why windows maps wont work properly on Lumia 1020 its because of incompatibility of GPU but if you say it will work on AU build i believe you.

but with adblocking on AU working fine... explain that
is simple, not working for x20 devices resolution for CU/FCU.... you cant blame adblocker for this...

It has notifications right now but only for activities (not for directs, lives and etc.)

Great idea looking forward to this. Do you guys plan on making other apps like facebook, twitter or are you gonna stick with this one and see how it goes?

We will not stick to one thing.
We have a roadmap and our next step is working on our new version of DENNA (our old to-do app) but we will keep developing WinstaApp and our GMaps Client app "WinGo Maps".
About Facebook and Twitter, I think no. We are mostly working on projects that didn't come to W10M or Doesn't have an updated client. But maybe later we work on them too

Camera Error
I installed this app today in my Lumia 1020. Than I started camera through it, the camera started to show green image after a while, I was not able to see with the camera. Its the same thing, Even with the default camera app. Than I restarted my phone, And everything was fine, than after about 5 hours my main camera stoped to display anything. The screen turns black when I open the main camera through any app, though the front camera is working fine. I gave many restart and soft reset to phone but still my problem is not solved, do anyone have a solution for my problem..

that's hardware issue. maybe camera connector is disconnected from the board or maybe your camera lens having issue.
you should go to some care center.

Now, after re-installing this app, I realized that there's something wrong with this app.
As soon as I opened the camera section in this app, the screen turned out green as it happened previously, effects were same in the default camera as well, until I restarted the device.
Are you trying an uncommon approach to display camera outputs in this app? which could possibly forcing the hardware to do lot of work.
