You should try CM7 REwamped DarkGreen. It's based on CM7 but with a custom skin and some issues fixed.

oxygen and cm are totally diffrent, cm now has its own framework ect, its more like a sence rom or mui, oxygen was a totally aosp rom built from the ground up by AdamG for the desire
Lol.....yeah that's what I was gonna say

As mentioned above - Oxygen is a Desire ROM.
Give Android Revolution a go...
Hi all,
I bought my defy last week. It came with 2.2.2.
I hv rooted it and have installed Clockwork Recovery and 2nd Init (the versions adviced by Quarx).
I am all set to flash a custom rom, but dont know which version to install.(RC0 or RC1, + 2.3.3 or 2.3.4 )
I have green lens. (Soc module, NOT BAYER )
I also wish to preserve my downgradability.(just in case if I wud need to seek warranty in future)
I shall be really thankful if someone could give me the direct link to the ROM best suited for me. Bug fixed ROMs shall be appreciated.

Try everything. I prefer cyanogenmod and the latest nightlys but used miui and leaked gigngerbread for a while. If you dont flash leked gingerbread sbf you can always downgrade to stock

Flash the CEE DEBLUR sbf and then CM7 nightly from 0822. People seem to have much success with that one.

Could I get the link to best version of cm7 ??
Sent from my MB525 using XDA App
this is the 110822 BOOT179-4 nightly, im using it, and a lot of others, seems to be the best one so far.
Thanks a lot for the link.
By the way, is this nightly better than the RC1 v2 version being provided by Quarx?
Also are there any bugs reported in this version linked by you?
And lastly, will I have to install any post installation fixes ??
Plz do reply quickly, I cant wait to flash GB in my phone

i hv cm7 RC1 v2 installed. How shall i upgrade to this nightly?
Shall i install the zip through recovery? Do i need to wipe data/cache before flashing the nightly?
Will this nightly enable full screen recording?

I think no, because of the locked bootloader. We cannot do it.
Indeed, we are absolutely unable to flash a non motorola-signed kernel. Only the official stock eclair, froyo, and gingerbread kernels released by Moto can be flashed...locked bootloader really sucks...
Where i can find lastest kernel for my Htc Desire GSM ?

think ManU & Tiamat kernels r for cyanogenmod, latest ManU is in Desire Android Development and just Google Tiamat for his site. Theres probably more because its Cyanogenmod but as far as i know they would be the popular 1s.

Then just flash CM7 over.
I have problems with all other AOSP kernels on stable CM 7.2.0.1, after the flash it simply deletes my APNs and I can't configure them manually. I'll probably try to implement some of them in boot.img and try to flash it like that.
I don't have that problems.
Installed stock CM7 krenel i can say, after testing tiamat, ManU kernel, and for me is i think best stock CM7 kernel..

I have installed MIUI 3.2.22 from the official MIUI chinese website on my defy plus MB526. Everythings works fine but the phone now shows to be ME525+. I have read somehwere, that ME52+ roms breaks the flashlight when installed on MB526. Can someone tell me whether it is safe to flash this rom on MB526. I don't want to know the answer the hard way
Thanks!
Flashlight breaks only ME525 froyo & others roms for ME525. ME525+ aka China defy+ roms that bug is fixed. I used about 2 months ME525+ rom with flashlight In me525+ roms there is no green flashlight bug. I used china GB in my MB525. And also in custom ME525 roms with custom kernel that bug not present.
