I have an R800i and R800a, R800i as of now is somewhat of a testing unit for the R800a for custom roms and such.
One question I have is which roms out there allows you to use the gamepad on the game?
I know for a fact that on CM7 u can't use the gamepad with games like dead space/BF2.... any EA games.
Can anyone suggest any other custom roms that allow the use of the gamepad on EA games??

Hi im running cm7 on my play and when i try to play most games on it the game pad doesn't work but if i download the xperia play test app everything is working.
It works with emulators and minecraft.
I've tried uninstalling the apps and reinstalling without any luck. Still no touch pads response. Some games it happens with are fifa, lets golf 3 and modern combat 3

well it works with PES and minecraft and emulators so not exactly lose touchpads.
i seen a thread to put the games that work in cm in green and red for ones that dont. seems all EA games and Gameloft dont work with cm7.
there was solution there so thought id create another to see if anyone knew that didnt see the other post
Hiya, I can't get Gameboid to work on my Xperia Play R800x running Chevy's FXP115. Anyone know of a fix? ;-;
Some emulators don't work on certain roms. SNES9Ex doesn't work on Ice Cream Sony rom for example.

So I had n64oid installed on my rooted xperia play and used a ps3 gamepad, because I think this was more comfortable for n64 games. I used the sixaxis app to do this, which required root. I'm wondering if there is a possibility to use an Bluetooth gamepad, without rooting the device, because n64oid has plenty options for these gamepads, which rather confuses me.

I think you can get an app from the market that allows you to connect a specific bluetooth gamepad... but dude, you have an Xperia PLAY why? The whole point of it is the built-in gamepad
I just reread your question, and you have a rooted phone but don't wish to use an app that needs root? Err.. then why root?
I asked this because I think about buying a new phone, because my play has some weird issues and I'm not that happy with it anymore. But I don't want to root my new phone because it seems a lot more difficult than it is with Sony Ericsson phones, but I want to play games via hdmi output on my tv. So it would be great to connect a Bluetoothcontroller to xperia play or any other phone without rooting it.

Why oh why would you want to play games from your phone on your tv? Just go buy a ps3 or xbox they are a dime a dozen

I have a r800i,2.3.4, DiXperia, locked bootloader, root and cwm.
I'm looking for a psx emulator with touchpad support, I have seen fpse, but it doesn't have touchpad support for the GB, so I was wondering if there is any emulator with an In Screen l2 and r2 and working touchpad support.

Dont use any roms above stock gingerbread. The gamepad will be recognized.
Mass effect infiltrator still don't have xplay optimized~
