I have a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet and that's also not been listed as one of the devices. Any help?. Do i need to enable anything on my tablet or TV. Thanks for your help. I assume both my samsung TV and tablet are DLNA enabled. Is there a way to check that?

Tablet : Samsung Galaxy 10.1
Mobile : SG2

Hi to all,
i've this problem:
I tried to connect my Galaxy S4 mini to my Smart TV (Samsung UE40F6800SD), but when the two devices connect, after about 7-8 seconds automatically disconnect yourself (the image of the phone is never projected on the TV) . This happened while with firmware XXUAMF6. Yesterday I tried to update both the phone (with firmware XXUAMG8) that the TV (firmware 1110), but when I launched the screen mirroring the two devices were no longer visible.
Have you any idea what could be the problem?
Thank you very much.

Hi,
before to scan with youre phone, have you select on your TV ->source -> screen mirroring ?
1. set TV to "screen mirroring" (push "source" on remote)
2. enable phone menu "screen mirroring" then it should seek for tv and then allow devices to connect with each other.
PS! On my Samsung F6670 smart-tv the function didn't worked anymore after rooting (it did found the tv but disconnected immediately after showing succesful connection) though it worked fine before rooting.

Sorry, my TV is UE40F6800SD
I think the screen mirroring is done through miracast (Samsung calls it AllShare Cast) and apparently it doesn't work with "some" rooted phones:

As for tv support, I couldn't find the ES6800 in the miracast ready devices.
http://www.wi-fi.org/wi-fi-certified-miracastâ„¢
The information is pretty scarce but I found this:
http://goo.gl/cvzcVp
"All Share": offers mirror modes between the TV, mobile phones and tablets.
Like in Philips TVs, Miracast Wi-Fi will be present in almost all Samsung's new models (from series 5 upwards)...
I have a client who has a new Tab Pro 10.1 and he wants to know how to stream the screen of his tablet to his TV or PC at his office to use for a demonstration and use kind of as a remote whiteboard. He saw someone doing it at a meeting he went to last week, but did not ask how they were doing it. I have searched all around and it looks like he has to be rooted to do it, but it seems unreliable and I don't want to have to fix or set this thing up every time he uses it. I am sure he wont mind rooting his tablet if it means he will be able to stream his screen. I was hoping Chromecast would be able to do it easily, but it looks like that is not a feature yet and it can only be done fairly reliably through Chrome on a computer.
Has anyone done this yet? What do you recommend?
He has a:
Tab Pro 10.1 (stock)
Intel Nuc running Windows 8.1 Pro 64 connected to the TV
Chromecast
Vizio 70" TV
Thanks in advance!

That looks like a wired setup. I should have been clear that it needs to be wireless.
Thank you though!

There is an app preinstalled on the Tab - Sidesync 3.0. Need to install the app on the pc also. I haven't used it but I think it does what you want via wifi.
The tablet support screen mirroring (settings -> connections). Works fine on my sony bravia
You can use Chromecast but it will be slow for that. Instead use Miracast (What Brendo is using). There are many Miracast adapters if your TV doesn't have this capability.
Screen Mirroring Galaxy tab pro 8.4 and Sony bravia TV
The screen mirroring function will work with a Galaxy Tab pro 8.4 and a w605b Bravia TV?
Thank you!

It should. I have a bravia
On my S5 there is an option in the Chromecast app which allows casting. On my Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, there is no option. I have tested both my S5 and Tab Pro 8.4 with Chromecast. Individual apps, like Youtube and Netflix cast fine, but the Tab Pro won't give me the option to cast the tablet's screen. If you have a Samsung "Screen Mirroring" compatible smart TV it might work (I don't).
On a side note. . . Although I know your client wants wireless, my old Samsung HDMI adapter for my S3 works with both my S5 and Tab Pro 8.4. The Samsung WI-FI All-Share Cast Hub, Wireless HDMI Display Adapter (can't remember the name) might work if you have that plugged into the video source. I didn't purchase it, so I can't test it.
I just recently bought a Chromecast and Tab Pro 8.4. I've been experimenting the last few days.
Basically, casting to Chromecast is going to be limited to apps with built-in Chromecast support. The only way I was able to do screen mirroring was through my WDTV Live set top box. Like Weo said above, you will need a TV with screen mirroring capability. My friend has a Samsung smart tv that he uses screen mirroring all the time.
Here's a nicely put together FAQ about Chromecast: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2563143
I think the only way to do screen mirroring to Chromecast is to root your device and install a hack: http://forum.xda-developers.com/har...experimental-enable-mirroring-device-t2812193
Hello, so I've just bought the 10"5 Tab S and I can't enable screen mirroring.
My TV is a Sony KDL-40R470B, I can enable the screen mirroring just fine with Galaxy Note 3, but not the Tab S.
Any idea how I could solve this ?
And, this spanking new Tab S 10.5 doesn't even support Chromecast Screen Mirroring either! Come-on Samsung!!!
I was only successful wireless screen mirroring to an old Samsung miracast device. So, other than using an HDMI adapter tethered, it seems the initial firmware out of the box on the Tab S is ancient technology compared to the Note Tabs and Galaxy phones which can screen mirror to Chromecast.
I would think Chromecast screen mirroring problem would lie with Google and the Chromecast app not Samsung.
If you are rooted you can use the below app to enable it.

Just more android fragmentation garbage apparently.
I found this article a good read though, but it just leaves an Android user in the blind about what supported features will be available.

Thing is, I'm not using chromecast, I have a smart TV and just enable mirroring with Wi-Fi, I didn't plug anything on the TV.
Works flawlessly with the note 3, but can't enable it on the tab S.
Would that app be worth trying in my case ?
Fixed?

So after 20 minutes of this I sorted it out. I had a private internet access app running so that all my traffic is encrypted and routed overseas. It just sets up a VPN, so I think if you have a VPN running then it won't work. That was my problem, hopefully this helps you.
Hello frineds,
First of all, please forgive me for my imperfect English (It's not my mother-tongue).
I was looking for information on the web, but have not received answers to some questions and I would like to get some of your help, please:
I have a Samsung Tab 3 10.1" (model 5210) tablet and a Sharp TV (not a smartTV) with USB and HDMI inputs.
I would like to watch movies I downloaded to my tablet - on the TV screen and looking for a good way to do it (preferably wireless). I need a way to mirror my tablet on TV, to be specific.
1. Is there any possibility at all? If so:
2. Does ChromeCast doing the work? (Again, we're discussing about downloaded video files from the web, not watching YouTube and similar)
3. If ChromeCast can't do it, is there a wireless device that does this? I heard about "EZcast", what do you think about it? I'd be happy to have your recommendation.
4. If there's no wireless option -what kind of cable will I have to connect the the TV?
5. Other things that I should know? (Video-Audio sync... etc)
Thanks in advance,
PT
I know the Tab 3 8.0" has a screen mirroring function included, but perhaps the P5210 does not.
What version of Android are you running? Is it the stock 4.2 Jelly Bean? I've read that Mircast needs 4.4 and up, and Chromecast needs 4.4.2 and up. Also, I'm unsure if AllShare Cast/Samsung Link is an option for you...
Have you tried the Galaxy HDMI adapter from Samsung's website? Item ET-H10FAUWEGUJ
I have a chromecast and use an app called localcast to play my downloaded videos to my tv. Works really good, pause, play and volume control from device. Though it is not true screen mirroring as the video does not play simultaneously on tablet and tv, it just sends the video to the tv. Hope this helps.
Hi, can anyone help me. Before I put the CM 12 on my Note 8 I could connect it to my TV via Screen mirroring easily.
Now I have the possibility in the settings, but it cant find the TV.
As before both are in the same WIFI network.
I can do this with my Sony unrooted device as i could do it before.
Does someone have the right .apk or an Idea how to fix it.
I like to have just the display of the tablet on my TV nothing else.
The Samsung app from the playstore doesnt work.
Thanks Chris
