Working great on the captivate
the keyboard is working great on the Samsung Captivate. No issues thus far.
The one ported to Nexus one does not install for me.
Can you please tell me where you got it from?

Yes I have this checkbox marked.. also I have Root access on my SGS.
Strange... whould realy like to try the droid x keyboard..
Thanks for the reply Culturelol!
The stock samsung keyboard is also multitouch, you can also do the shift+letter for capital trick
I like the stock Samsung keyboard the keys are smaller so i find i make less mistakes.
Just got that installed on my SGS and it works great. Typing is a lot faster than the Samsung multi touch keyboard. However the prediction and suggestion when tping is not as good as the other input method, is there any way to improve this? Thanks.

It does, but the dictionary has some weird entries so some words don't correct properly. For the most part it is fine though!
Hey...where did you download yours from...cause I installed it on my samsung vibrant and the keyboard works fine but the size of he letters on the keyboard are super small...did you have that happening to you?
I'm very much reliant on Swype now. It even remembers words that aren't English (I use Tagalog a lot). How much does this stack up to Swype? Or am I comparing Apples and Oranges here... or Bananas and Oranges? LOL
Gingerbread keyborad
Install with CWR
works perfect for me
Input Language:
Bulgarian, German, English, Espanol, France, Croatian, Italy, Latvian, Belgian, Polski,
Romana, Slovenian,Turkish, Macedonian, Portugues,

which language are supported?
Working great on ultimate rom v2.0.
One thing that really is useful is the long press for numbers that auto inputs on release. It is standard on many keyboards but not the sammy one.

Work's great on my rooted stock rom,but is better the stock keyboard
Everything except vibrate works great on doc's xwjpa v9. Thank you!

works fine with docs jpa and hardcore's 10h. No vibration and only english. It seems to allow you to select another language but it doesn't change. Used the version found here

Comparing the two, there's one thing that's different:
LatinIME.apk/res/raw/main.dict is larger in this apk than in Doc's one (~344 KB vs 34 bytes). I would guess this is the file containing dictionary words for auto-complete?
To make sure this works with the Doc ones, just replace the apk file in doc's zip (so you keep build.prop that Doc has modified) with the one from this zip file.
FYI: The apk is already zipaligned it seems ("zipalign -c 4 LatinIME.apk")
Hi all!
i'm Michele from Italy.
Now i'm using the coredroid 5.1 Rom in my DHD and i don't like very much the default htc keyboard.
In your opinion, what is the best keyboard for the DHD?
Thank you!!!
I'm currently using the ginderbread keyboard found on the market, to only thing is that it don't have the arrows but thats not a problem for me. BTw I'm running on RCMix 5.9
ThickButtons.
well, you have some options in the market, i'm using "smart keyboard", with iphone skin, right now. i think it is way better than froyo kb or even gingerbread. you can try "better keyboard" too, also a really good choice!
CoreDroid has a themed version of the gingerbread installed by default. Try it out and you'll love it

Wow fantastic.. but the ginger keyboard of coredroid has a different color to the original version, right?
It has a black and blue color, the standard gingerbread has a gray and green color, right?
Thank you very much for the advice, now i'll try all keyboard..

Only Swype, dark is the nicest I think!
I have used HTC keyboard, Swype, Gingerbread, better keyboard and many more and I really don't have a preference. I find typing on any Sense-skinned ROM to be kind of laggy. The stock Gingerbread that comes with MIUI is probably the most responsive. I am currently using Virtuous Unity with the Sense keyboard, and it works for me. Swype is very good also, but for some reason I deleted it. I kind of like pecking away at a peice of glass with my fingers..
It is possible to remove the arrow keys on my sense keyboard, i just dont know how.
Can anyone provide a link or something? A rom a mod anything .
I really hate them n i find them useless

Don't know if they can be removed but there's loads of alternative keyboards in play. some of which have arrows, some don't and some are switch-able.

I agree with you, i hate those arrows, why they put it there dont understand.
also if someone using alternate keyboard tell us which is the best option!!
SwiftKey is definitely my favourite keyboard. Is great at predicting next word by learning from previous text and email messages. Has really increased my writing speed.

Just tried it and it seems very promising. For now, I just miss a Danish dictionary but I'm certain it'll come eventually.
This rom > Charmander v 5.0 Has options in 'Tweaks' to remove the arrows, and has alot of other great tweaks and gives immense battery life, I've got it flashed now, very good, would recommend; especially as you can remove the arrows.

I was using Smart Keyboard Pro, mainly because if I selected slovak (which is my first language) I could see a fourth row of keys with our special characters and I didn't have to wait until longpress. It was a pretty fast and accurate keyboard. With HTC One X I'm using Swiftkey, it is just faster as Smart Keyboard Pro, and the dictionary and prediction is a little bit more accurate.
But I must admit, that the HTC's keyboard on HOX is pretty good, tried to use it for a while and the typing experience was great. Also the trace function was working quite well. Don't know about the arrows, but they keep showing up and disappearing based on apps in which they were used.

Yop exactly for this(except the 2 official languages part, I just type in 2 languages, English and Slovak) I have Swiftkey I am using 2 languages at the same time without the need of switching (no buttons nada, just typing away) which is awesome.
OT @Ondro, yeah but it says Home Country not where you currently reside , at least that's how I understood it. Doesn't matter anyway
how are the arrows helping with writing in two different languages? I'm writing in three languages (Slovak, German, English) and I didn't see any use to those arrows, except for moving between input fields or moving in the text itself.
Swiftkey has it solved with a far more better solution, it is simply giving you predictions in all three (or two) languages at a time.
@PAGOT - I changed it was thinking it was my operators country
We just bought Samsung Note 2 and it doesn't come with Spanish as an option as language input. Is there way to add more languages to the system repertoire?
This would be a huge help Thanks!

Spanish as INPUT or as SYSTEM LANGUAGE?
It's strange because Android comes with a ton of languages off the bat.
Spanish either an input or system language
In Canada when I bought my Samsung Note 2 I can only find it either English French or Mandarin as an option for language input keyboard. Is the a way to add more languages to the original configuration?
Thank you!

This seemed like the right path for the solution to my problem, yet when I downloaded the language enabler app it never enabled new languages.
Also, after hitting the enable languages button it prompts me to either reboot now or later. Hitting the reboot now button never automatically reboots, so I rebooted manually. But this didn't work.
MoreLocale 2 fixed it!

No, unfortunately I tried using morelocale 2 app and that changes the operating system and interested in changing the input language to Spanish which it doesn't do.

What version of the galaxy note 2 do you have ? If it's the GT-N7100 you clan flash the european rom to enable Spanish keyboard, or you clan simply install a third party keyboard like go keyboard.
