How to Here
Newest sprint PRL 01115. This is a corporate PRL that will allow 3G roaming. It will not force you to roam. If you want to force roam, buy roam control from the market.

What does the corporate PRL do exactly?
The link to android central seems to have most of its users roaming on Verizon.

Could someone write an app to update those prl files from the phone?

Does this give full 3g data speed when using roam control to force roaming

Sprint has a reciprocal roaming agreement with verizon. With the everything data plan, we roam for free on verizon's network when sprint's towers are not available. Normally when roaming sprint limits you to 1x. With the corporate PRL it allows 3g roaming instead of 1x in many areas (not all).

Not sure if this is possible. Thinking it would have to be phone specific, and unlikely.
Love the sig!

Yes.
OP updated with FAQ.

I just tested this - it works, but not like advertised.
I updated the prl to the one linked in the op.
When I forced roaming with roam control, I started roaming on us cellular - speed test showed a typical 1x speed - 128kbps.
I know this trick works with a special verizon prl. But you probably want to update to it and back all the time to avoid roaming too much.
Hence my request that someone writes an app to update it from the phone.
Like EPST on Evo phones.

Damn I joined that site just to get this PRL and their password policy about made me rage! I dig security but damn, I don't even have that stringent of a policy on my *nix boxes.
Anyways, I don't see much of a difference with the roam app either. *shrug*

Nice to have the option. Thanks for the PRL skandranon.

The prl I posted is a sprint prl. I have not heard of anyone roaming on us cellar with this prl before. Not sure why that would happen. I had great success with this very prl driving cross county.

No worries, don't ask them to close just merge, better to have all the info in one place.
Do you know what the difference is between your 01115 and the 11115?

[q] epic 4g boost mobile: To do/not to do?

I got my Epic flashed over a month ago. but they didn't give me the donor phone. I have switched Roms with no issue, but when I manually updated my prl, i lost 3g and my network connection. It called verizon when 611 was dialed. So, I ended up having to take the phone back to the guys who flashed it in the first place.
Long story short...to keep from having to pay theese guys more $ that I don't have, I have not made any changes to the prl or modem.
1. Am I screwed by not having the donor phone in my possesion?
If not...
2. what is safe for me to do with my epic, and what's not?(software wise)
Thanks

Your posts were about your proposed solution which works for you and you were trying to help. However it was off topic as it was not about using the Evo LTE PRL which is the topic of this thread and thus was moved to its own thread. Now that's enough out of you on this in this thread. Consider this a warning. Further off topic discussion will be met with infractions or short vacations.

I posted 11121 somewhere in the prl post.. Try that one, you should see some improvements (Specifically in roaming)... These are real improvements because they are the corporate prl list and are actually something that increases tower connectivity. I doubt the 2xxxx prls will do anything because they are really geared towards 1x advanced (new technology they are pushing on the 800 mhz spectrum)...
Just put the evo lte prl on last night and it does seem faster only test I ran 1.8 meg down 534kb upload which is a improvement. 3G results

faster 3G and 1X but no Wimax...
if you are in any area with Wimax i say dont use cause Wimax is still faster, but if you dont have Wimax then USE IT my data is ~ 1.3 MBps after using it
Been using this for a few days now, haven't really seen a huge difference. Can get on Wimax though in contrast to what others are saying. Maybe I'm just lucky?

lol yea i meant that one by any chance do you know a link to the 01337 prl?
I have been looking for a good response to this but I seem to be the only person having this issue..... Sorry for bringing up an old thread but, I tried flashing a verizon prl and my data speeds actually got slower.. I live in a decent sized city and verizon can't be this bad here. Anybody else have a similar problem
I live in nj and haven't flashed to prl 00001 in a while because I recently moved and sprint service is better in the new area but yesterday I flashed prl00001 and also had slow data Maybe its outdated
Both of those PRLs and others are listed someone in here under All Sprint PRLs. Look for that thread title. My Sprint S3 was flashed to Page Plus and has PRL 00002 on it and when I'm at work, full bars and download speeds are around 2.5Mb down, .9Mb up. At home its slower cause signal drops to 1 bar but its still about .2 Down .15 up.
Look over here.

Yeah I saw that thread and I have flashed several different prl's my concern is I'm showing great cell signal yet my data roaming is ridiculously slow... I can't imagine verizon data is this slow all over the greater cleveland area. I am on a md4 rom and used the ma4 exe to unhide prl write could that be affecting it?

Mike, have you checked out Ting? We moved all 4 of our E4GT phones to Ting. Same Sprint network. Our bill is about 40% of what we paid Sprint each month, and it's nice to not be tied down to a contract. No activation fee. If you want to try them, PM me and I can give you a referral to save on your 1st bill.

[Q] PRL never budges from 2000. Seeking force roam

My PRL is seemingly stuck on “2000”. I am not able to force roam on Verizon using these instructions http://qbking77.com/development/how-to-force-roam-on-verizon-with-samsung-galaxy-s-iii-and-note-ii/ or even update to sprints latest unless of course 2000 is the latest. I am creating the TEST.prl on the root just like the instructions say but its having no affect when I do a PRL write. Any ideas?

I may be wrong, but I don't have any issues with 1.66. The only reason why I don't have sound issues is because I'm using 5.28 stable slim. The kernel did increase my volume dramatically. You can find 1.66 in the post toward the end of his thread.
