After moving to CM7, I am facing some weird issues with some of my apps. I randomly get FCs for many of the apps - mostly games. Found out that moving from SD to phone or vice versa solves the problem - temporarily... Anybody seen such a thing?
Running CM7.1 on Motorola MB525.
Note: tried all obvious things - cleaning cache, reinstalling, clearing app data etc etc...
It's really weird though, cause I haven't gone through any such problem by now, using CM 7.1 since it's release & playing games & all.
Games I usually play include [Fast5, Assasin's Creed, SpiderMAN Total Mayhem]
will be good if you can name applications on which you get FCs, let me give them a try & see if get same problem ........
Seen FCs for My Country, Paradise Island, Talking Tom Cat etc.

i'm curious whether anyone else suffers from this problem, and whether anyone knows of a way to fix it.
in games that rely on android to decode and play audio i have problems most of the time.
tap sonic/love ritmo: game screen freezes the moment a song starts playing, and then unfreezes and continues to play without any music.
osu!droid: when the game's own player is disabled(required for ogg support) the game runs choppy as if i'm trying to play it on a budget phone.
Galaxy on fire HD: voices are distorted, skip, or repeat small bits.
initially i thought this was fixed with the first update because i could suddenly play osu!droid and tap sonic without problems, but now it's broken again.
rebooting does not help.
logcat at http://sharetext.org/zlxu
the note 2 is going to be a bit of a problem with sharing logcats...
this is from shortly after boot, and it's already way too big for XDA attachments and pastebin.
EDIT: i managed to get the game sound working properly again, but if my past experience is any indication i'll have to redo my fix every few hours.
it all started working again after i wiped dalvik/cache and fixed permissions.
it would still be nice to know the cause, and a more permanent solution.
hi there.. i have the same problem too with tapsonic offline..
when my note 2 running basic firmware (i think it was ALIE), tapsonic offline works fine.. but when my note got upgrade to ALJ3, my tapsonic has the same problem with yours (freeze and then game over in all songs)
so how did you fixed it? just by wiped dalvik and fixed permissions? i think i've tried wiped cache and dalvik (without fixed permissions), but the result still the same
I installed Bad piggies on my Arc S (stock .587 with root and xperia S lockscreen + keyboard, tho i dunno how that could be related),
and the game keeps freezing, not FCing, but buttons become unresponsive, sometimes for up to a minute. But the music keeps playing and animations are still playing (the waves and pigs). It's really annoying, coz sometimes timing is crucial and all.
Sometimes it works for 5 minutes straight, then it lags a little, then works again, but other times its unplayable.
I tried moving the game in internal memory, but that doesnt resolve the issue. Restarting the phone doesn't either.
Anyone else has this issue? I tried searching, but it doesnt seem to happen to others as I cannot find existing themes with the same issue (at least not for Arc S). What to do, what to try?
Thanks!
Please ask your questions in Q & A next time. This is not the forum for questions.
Yes I experience this problem as well. Might be because of our dated hardware but when it works it works fine. Don't let it bother you too much. ICS isn't the greatest platform for gaming on the arc anyway.
Clear your dalvik cache with app2sd, otherwise you dont have enough ram/internal memory to play the game
Indeed wrong topic mate, but further i play it a long time now and no probs with it

Sorry, the topic has been moved, Ill pay more attention next time.
I cleared dalvik cache with link2sd (it offered to clean 3 entries, not the whole thing). Is that okay? Or do i need to wipe the whole thing in recovery, as its still freezing.
How did you guys get it to play?
thanks!
i reckon cleaning 3 entries should be fine.
Hey guys, I've just updated this fantastic ROM to the latest version, which seems like a huge mistake...
The problem is I keep getting spammed with force closes. Random apps that run in the background get abruptly closed and I get the message about it. It's quite often.
What's worse is that some apps just straight up refuse to run and force close. Game Guides, Dolphin, Titanium Backup, Ebay, FPSe, Opera, just to name a few...
As I'm sure you can imagine this is a pretty BIG problem. Any help figuring this out would be awesome.
I'm using a Sony Ericsson Xperia Play r800i
Update: I use Link2SD and I figured that maybe that had something to do with it. I un-linked a couple of apps, one at a time, and found that after a restart of the device they'd work again. I still get FCs every now and then on the same apps, but it's progress I suppose and a sign of what the problem could be.
Update 2: I think I figured out the problem. In my haste I didn't think about the Dalvik Cache... Cleared it up and now it seems to run smoother and I haven't seen a FC yet (15 minutes in). Apologies for potentially wasting someone's time.
So I love Unjustice, and its a really great game. However, it constantly freezes on my S4 and the sounds is all squeaky. I have cleared cache, reinstalled several times yet it still freezes and even crashes. Other S4 users i have personally talked to have not had this problem. Does anyone else have this issue, or is this an issue related to the app not being optimized for KitKat (running CM11). Thanks!
Hi all,
I've had my Bell G3 for a few days now, and I've run into a weird issue. I don't play many games on my device, but the two I do enjoy are crashing on launch.
Up first is Timberman. This one has never worked. I start it up, get to the very first company screen, and the app crashes, asking me to send in a report.
Up next is Clash of Clans. The weird part here is that it was working fine. Then suddenly I go to start it up, and nothing. I just get a black screen. IT doesn't seem to have been updated, and I haven't done anything recent that I can think of that would cause this.
I've tried restarting the device. Deleting data. Uninstalling and re-installing the apps.
I switched from Dalvik to ART as soon as I unboxed the device, so that may be a factor, but I was running Clash of Clans perfectly for a few days before the trouble started.
I've run out of ideas and was wondering if anyone else has experienced similar problems?
Thanks!
ART causes this kind of thing with a lot of apps. Try it in Dalvik. I'd be surprised if there were a compatability issue with our phones with Clash of Clans because it came preinstalled on my Verizon version.
The one I've experienced this with is SMASH HIT. I noticed it only happens when there's a poor or nonexistent signal/data connection for the cell network. It may be just a bug in the specific app which calls out for data when it starts, I emailed the publisher.
ETA: I do not have ART enabled.

I'm guessing that it is indeed ART being a bad boy. Essentially I had to switch back to Dalvik, delete data, uninstall and re-install. Both Clash of Clans and Timberman are working now.
Thanks for the advice. I was kind of afraid that it would be the case. I guess ART just isn't ready for prime time as of yet.
