best honeycomb tablet - G2 and Desire Z Themes and Apps

Hey so I was looking at the honeycomb tablets today at best buy and I was so anxious to buy one so before I do buy it I wanna see which one is my best option
Here are my options
Motorola xoom
Asus epad transformer
Acer iconia table
Sony table
Galaxy tab
So which one would you guys choose?
Or are there any other better options?
Stewie just said that!

What does this question have to do with applications?????
Why is it so hard for people to post in the correct areas?

Cranky people on this site. For future reference though, best to post in appropriate area to get your questions answered. Meanwhile, try searching cnet for reviews on those. That should help you decide. They usually have video reviews. Or try youtube.

Sold my iPhone 4s 32gb unlocked for GN gsm

I've used iPhone on my T-Mobile but I cannot live with 2g. So I sold it and bought a GN. Did I make a mistake on paying a week old GN for $520 shipped? Includes everything and no scratches.
Also what can I expect from this device?

That's a good price. They're $600 new.
You can expect a solid device. Read up in the forums before you go making new threads with questions. Its been out a few months, most questions have been answered at least once.
Awesome. Sorry about not using the search tool. Can't wait to get my new phone soon!

You are going to LOVE IT just like I do. I traded the same phone you did for a Gnex. I strongly suggest trying out CM9 and Franco, because they make the phone so buttery smooth. 520 is a great price, and if you like to tinker with your phones, you chose the right one.
Oh man I can't wait. My sensation 4g feels laggy when running ics. So Franco and cm9 is the best rom out for Gnex? What about rev HD?

The screen is really beautiful and 10/10 for texting, emails and browsing. used to hate texting but i just text for the sake of it, just loved it.
Note: What ever you decide to do to this beauty just make sure you read full instructions and some pages, then you wont run into any trouble. The more you read the less chance of runing into any trouble or unstable device.

Are you talking about him running the iPhone on T-Mo with 2G only?
Maybe he was aware of it, then decided it wasn't what he wanted... Where did he ever say he bought the iPhone w/o knowledge that he'd get EDGE only?

No, I meant buying the GN first and then asking XDA about "Also what can I expect from this device?". This struck me as a little weird.
When I have to dish out €500+ for a device, I tend to inform myself pretty well beforehand. ;-)

AFAIK, RevoHD isn't built from AOSP. I also believe it is still only 4.0.2. If I had to recommend a combo, i'd say AOKP/Franco.kernel.

I'm currently obsessed about Galaxy Nexus Cases. I currently located in Hong Kong so there are plenty of selections than US. I kind of regret buying a Galaxy Nexus instead of keeping my iPhone 4S (Sold all of them to mainland China). There are just way too many iPhone 4S cases than Galaxy Nexus. However, there are still some reputable brands and beautiful design for HSPA+ version such as SPG Case. It's the best I've seen so far. DO NOT BUY ALUMINUM cases as that is very hard to take off and blocks the NFC at the back of your phone.
http://www.spigen.com/cell-phone/google.html
I currently have the follow cases:
- SGP Neo Hybrid Red and Silver
Cheaper but still elegant, does not cover buttons
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5JgWcia8GQ
- Mercury Red and Yellow
Cheap ones:
- Dark transparent gel
- White transparent gel
I love changing cases every now and then!

The SGP Neo Hybrid is cool for a fully protective case. I myself have the Qubits snap-on case, similar to the Incipio Feather and Case-Mate Barely There. I love it, but it doesn't protect as much as most other cases.
the only reason i am using the nexus is for the 4g service. once apple release a 4g phone, im jumping ship. for 3 years now, i found not much of advantage over iphone.
I just started using Franco's kernel today and it seems the kernel that came with akop was overall better.

I just brought this case need feedback please

I have the same one. Its cheap but it works great. My Tab spends most of it time in a dock on my desk but this case works great for a quick trip to the coffee shop. It slips in quick and easy and comes out just as easy. You made a good purchase. For under twenty bucks you won't be dissapointed

I have the first one listed on this page. You can find some great reviews in this section of the forum here too.
Just look for the pyroskins clip case thread. Almost all great reviews. Low prices and fast shipping even to countries other than the USA.
Had you not already purchased before posting I would have pointed you here. I still think you did fine with the one you choose. Durability and good construction would be my only concern, since you can't see that in pictures.

[Q] Have i made a mistake?¿

I wish i read the one x forum on xda before i purchased my one x instead of just reading glorified reviews!
If i look in general section or the Q&A section...they all seem to be full of complaints from Wi-Fi, screen build quality, scratches, sound quality and so forth and i must say I've not had the same experience with the sgs2!
Have i seriously made a mistake not buying the s3?
How many people would be willing to change their device if the money was no problem or straight swap hypothetically?
Or put it another way..would you buy one x again?

think of allllll the people who got the one x. the ones that haves problems AND wine about it is strictly resyricted to a very limited number, where as the rest and most of us enjoy our phones and have zero problems. no worroes man., ull be quite happy with urs as HTC have tightened quality control
at this moment in time, between the lte2, note, s3, and lg 4x hd, id drfinitely buy 1x all over again.

Don't let the fact that a few early adopters have had problems (and been very vocal about it) have any bearing on what you think. Unless you're having problems with your device it's irrelevant.
I've not really started using it yet but was just trawling around the forum before i started to root etc and finally move over as you can see I'm still posting using my s2!

I got mine (Tegra 3 unlocked) for $300 off Kijiji and am loving it. It's completely issue free. WiFi works 100%, same with the data. No regrets here.
I bought mine international/unlocked from NewEgg and it's perfect, none of the flaws and issues I've read about.
I think we're seeing something very similar to the iPhone 4 "antennagate." I had an iPhone 4 and know several other people with them and none of us ever, not even once, experienced the "death grip" with them. And yet, the media was full of reports about how the iPhone 4 suffered from dropped calls constantly and bad reception.
A few reports of problems will always get blown out of proportion and make the product look like it's defective by design, even when the problem is really just a few specific devices which had pretty run of the mill manufacturing flaws.
You have nothing to worry about. Pick up a One X and join the "World's Best Phone" club.

Everyone has issues to begin with at least with the one x you safe in knowledge it's not likely to explode in ur jeans pocket like the s3 did. HTC one x has a big brownie point atm its tegra 3 n all top game developers are jumping on board to try and harness that raw graphics power we have

Just bought nexus 7, questions?

I went to best buy to exchanged my Sammy tab 3 for this. Love pure Google aosp. I was very disappointed best buy doesn't have cover cases for it yet. Never owned first generation nexus.
Now here the question after searching on eBay and amazon.
The nexus 7 2, will it able to fit right into first generation case? I don't want to buy first generation case online that doesn't fit 2 gen device. Will this do?
Thanks

There are some out now I've ordered two inexpensive ones until some quality ones surface.

End of nexus 7?

Noticing that Google Play is selling out their nexus 7's and Asus is offering the bonus promotion for the nexus 7 along with other stores like Walmart dropping the price dramatically does it mean its on its way out? I know there are posts about the nexus 8"flounder" and such do you think its the end for the tablet? Should I pick one up now or wait for the n8? Walmart dropped the price in store to $215 for the 32gb version.

Agree on waiting. Even if the new version isn't for you, the 2013 version is fabulous and will only drop in price.

Is there any reason why it wouldn't be discontinued?
It's almost time for the summer refresh of android and a medium sized nexus tablet.
Do you want a 8" tab if rumors are accurate?
Is the potential release of android a64 a factor?
Do you want a HTC or ASUS designed device?
The 2013 N7 is nearing a year old, it has 2 major updates left expected in it's lifetime, with the summer one being one of them.
The 2014 N7/8 will definitely be more expensive as long as stock doesnt run out on the 2013 N7
(current price vs price of leftovers after release)
I would definitely wait on the 8! It's just around the corner and it will be worth the updated hardware and hopefully screen size bump.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I am not looking forward to an 8" screen. Those are not as good for HD movie viewing. Also the 7" is compact enough to be very portable. I would jump at a 2014 Nexus but not sure I would if it's 8". Time will tell but I need portable to be able to take it with me on Mass Casualty Incidents and Search and Rescue deployments.

I find 7" a bit too small and 10" a bit too big. 8" should be just right. If HTC is making it, that's just icing on the cake. If it's not too expensive I'll probably get one for my wife.
I think I would be happy with an 8" tablet since I it would be a 'nicer' jump in size from 5" phone. On the other hand it would stretch carrying/holding it one handed.

Right??? I get **** all the time by people who use giant tablets and I gotta say... Compensate much? Lol really though, this thing has more than enough power if taken care of, can take quite the beating as far as my uses go annnd it fits in your pocket in a pinch. My favorite thing to do is put it in a leather case and hide it in a pile of books. Can't do that with 10 inches. Kind of the motion in the ocean solution. If you catch my tide...

I love the 7 inch tablet, honestly would love a 7 inch phone that has the form factor of a phone not a tablet with very little bezzle. I think the n7 will perform well for a long while. I am in no hurry to upgrade. I am less likely to upgrade a tablet than I am a phone

I bought one. I haven't had a tablet since the Asus transformer t100 lol. Threw Kali on it and just use it for "pentesting" other than that I got some clip on joysticks from Walmart for 50cents so I'll use it to game. Its alright I guess I really really hate typing on it because of the lack of vibrations Haha. Just wish they'd put that in a tablet I love the tablet but its a bit slower than my nexus 5(which is understandable) lack of Rome(exciting) kinda bothers me but overall I'll use it until I buy the 8 lol also got a scratch on the screen a week after I had it and I have no idea how it got there. Oh well. Thanks for the input guys :3
