Swype - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Hello All,
I was looking at the GS II in the TMO store today - still comparing it vs. the Amaze - however now leaning towards the GS II, and I wasn't too found of the keyboard. I am assuming that Swype, which I really like, can be used on it?
Thank, in advance.

I can confirm that it does come pre-installed with swype.

So it comes pre-installed, however, it's not selected/activated yet? I am assuming that the swype keyboard looks better than the default one?
Thanks, in advance.

Sounds like someone just switched it on the display phone, because it definitely comes with it pre-installed and ready to use.

Its actually not laggy on the GS2, but I don't like it either. Swype tends to be inaccurate at times and then I have to go back and swype the whole sentence all over again. I rather "gingerbread keyboard" from the market.

Stock Swype vs Swype Beta

Let's get some feedback here on what you guys prefer and why. Thanks
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
I have the swype beta installed on my mom's thunderbolt, and it works well. But I much prefer the look of the Swype that's made for the Nexus S, the one included in teh Unnamed rom, http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/6549/swype.png . I like the way it looks, the only thing I don't like anymore about the new Swype keyboards is the inclusion of the language button, I only type in English, so I don't want the option to switch languages lol.

[MOD][THEME][ICS/JB/JB 4.2]Nexus @ Midnight Slide Keyboard Nexus 4 Leak Port

Sick of Swype or SlideIt and love the AOSP Keyboard but wish it had sliding action?
Here is the latest Keyboard of mine. This one is based on the Leaked Android 4.2 JOP24G Jelly Bean Build.
Yes that's right from the Nexus 4 leak. I have tested it on Jedi Mind Trick v9 so I assume X and the newest one it would work with as well as any TouchWiz or AOSP roms based on Android 4.0.1 and newer.

Auto correct broken as of latest samsung update

As the subject states.. auto correct doesnt work at all now. Factory reset and everything. It wont correct one single word... anyone know a fix?
As of yesterday after i updated, auto correct is broken, swype installed with the update and is unusable, and this is driving me crazy.. hoping for a update recall
Works for me just fine.

I'm using the touchwiz 4.1.1 jelly bean leak on my phone and I'm getting the same thing. It doesn't auto-correct for me either even when ticked. Also, when I hit a period, exclamation mark, or question mark, it automatically adds a space afterwards. I don't remember the stock sammy keyboard doing that on ICS. Could just be me tho...

Your on a custom rom which is aside from stock lol =p. But it appears its not so much leaked as someone used the li3 update somewhere if you have the issue to. Another thing i noticed is it installed swype but theres no obtiom to use it anywhere on the keyboard. You have all the swype settings but no keyboard access
And jeez took everyone a week to find this thread =p on the sprint forums i believe all the reps have ignored the issue

Best keyboard?

Any recommendations on best keyboard for LG pro?
Sent from my LG-E980 using Tapatalk 2
I've tried many different keyboards and I always seem to come back to Swype. Slide style typing has always been a lot faster and usually more accurate for me. Swype ends up being the winner due to the accuracy and the handling of punctuation. One feature that I love is the ability to add 's to any word that you just typed. I haven't figured out how to do that easily on any of the others. I also like the alternative word suggestions for the word I just typed in case it was close to another word, I can switch it quickly. Seems like some of the other prominent sliding keyboards are to heavily focused on next word prediction that it makes it harder to easily fix the current word.
thanks form the feedback. I wonder if you have tried Fleksy?

Swype, hands down. It also comes with Dragon voice recognition, which is also the best.
(oops, time to update my signature.)
What's wrong with stock keyboard on G PRO? Anyway, A.I keyboard or Smart Keyboard are good alternatives.

The autocorrect is terrible for me. I'm using swype. Works great. Awesome skins as well.

Hahaha. Yea it is horrible. I use a.I. keyboard and one thing that I love is that it auto save certain word you type and it auto suggest that word, like email addresses.

Stock keyboard on the G Pro is admittedly terrible-- small keys, autocorrect is atrocious.
Although it seems like I'm the only one who prefers the Android AOSP keyboard over every other keyboard on the market-- I've tried them all, on multiple devices, and keep going back to Google's keyboard for the accuracy I have when typing, key layout, and autocorrect functionality.
i hv trued too many keyboards but finally i came to touchpal...it has got everything beautiful skins and many features..hv a try

I prefer the 4.2 Google keyboard
Swype lags badly after using it for a while
I just bought Swype, love it, very accurate
