Running 3.5 Bliss Beta V7.
My google searches are redirecting me to UK sites. My location settings look to be correct. The google homepage is www.google.com, so the domain is correct. Yet, when I search for anything, only UK sites show. Also, monetary values show as British pounds instead of US dollars. Any suggestions? I've tried to wipe cookies, temp files ect.
Also, I am unable to update my location settings within google. It shows the correct location but I tried to manually change it and it would not update. If I don't use the mobile version of Google, my searches seem to be fine.
Fixed it. Had to change language setting in languages/keyboard

Am having the same issue everyone is having in the "Market/Gmail issues?" thread. Sorry, I can't post links yet.
anyone know whats up with this? having same issue- Using 3G, I can go to cnn.com, but not google.com or google.com/anything. Market also not working. Turn on wifi, and it all works.
I am having the exact same issue.
Extremely frustrating when trying to do a Google search while not in wifi range.
EDIT: I went into gmail settings and disabled Voice dialing from Google chat. That appears to have fixed the problem. As soon as I saved the changes to my settings and gmail reloaded, I was able to do a 3G web search with Google.
I attempted a second search and that one took much longer to go through, but it still worked. But once the search results were loaded the links wouldn't load. When I directly connected to the page that was linked to it worked fine.
What is going on?
I noticed that using Verizon's PRL, the problem went away. I had some success reverting to an older Sprint prl. Might want to try it. ##775#, enter msl, select prl file that you put on your sdcard.
I think i had this problem until i cleared my cache and set my User Agent back to android.
I have a problem in recent days.when I searched a phrase in chrome address bar or in google search app, the page was automatically redirected to google china home page. When I connected to a vpn, everything was ok. So I try to add .hk manually after
google.com, it was ok again.
Well, anyone can tell me how to change default search domain from google.com to google.com.hk?

Picture cards (from wikipedia) are not showing in Google voice search. Is there any way to fix it??? Or are there any settings that i'm missing out on? And i'm currently outside US so can it be the reason?
Unfortunately you are right, in your setting, set it to search on google.com, (Google now, settings, privacy and accounts, tick the box), then you will get pictures. This used to break local searches, but they seem ok now =]
I have a problem about 2-3 days now. The Google Serch (Voice) shows only web results and it cannot call phones or show the fancy results. Some examples:
1. Call Brother - Search in the web for "call brother" and not calling brother from my phonebook :silly:
2. Whats the Weather in Athens - Search in the web "Whats the Weather in Athens" and not showing the weather
I have clearing data, uninstalling the app and re-installing but nothing happend. :crying:
(Trinity-Vengeance ROM 4.0)
This is an issue most people are facing right now. I believe Google will release a fix for this soon (that's what I heard) it has something to do with the mandatory enabling of location settings for voice. I'm sure they'll figure it out soon, till then there's not much of a solution. You can try running your networks using a VPN, should work logically but not sure how it will stand practically

Hello all,
Has anyone been able to get apps from multiple regions working on their Fire TV? I have been able to change locations and download apps but when I switch between regions (by deactivating my account and activating a new one), all apps fail saying 'App Not Owned' and they quit.
If I leave the 'App Not Owned' dialog up long enough, it changes to 'Authorization Expired - The time to authorize the user has expired' so I'm assuming Amazon is checking the titles against the logged-in user account.
I tried to install the app as one user, then pull the APK from the device using adb and then sideload the APK once I changed regions and was logged in as a different user. That didn't help.
Currently, I have it working so that I just deactivate and reactivate my accounts and the apps stay in place without losing my settings. Just a bit of a pain in the butt when I want to switch from ESPN (US) to Zattoo (Germany) or similar.
I
Does anyone have any thoughts as to how to get this working? I have multiple Fires (including rooted ones) that I can use to test.
Thanks,
Greg
HI,
I have just one account (US account) but I'm in Ireland. I'm using a Smart DNS. I have downloaded Apss to the cloud on amazon.com by changing my device country settings which I think you've done and works fine.
e.g. US account, downloaded TVplayer (UK App), works fine and US Netflix account etc also work. I am not switching my accounts on the Fire TV. Maybe it's the smart DNS is the difference.

The apps get your location from the IP address. You didn't mention anything about changing that, so that is why it's not working for you.
No, I have a Smart DNS provider and have no problems getting apps from any region to work. It's just that in order to use apps from multiple regions (WatchESPN from the Amazon US store and BBC iPlayer from the UK store), I have to log out of my Amazon account and into a different account.
Was just hoping to find some way to have these apps on the same homescreen and be able to use them without changing accounts. My Fire TV is rooted if that helps.
