I discovered that take the option beside ISO option (to the right) a option with an S (shutter time). Take and move that to 1.0 in very dark areas, and you will be surprised and maybe a bit happy for the rest of that day like i did
Edit: You can change the ISO and the shutter time to get even better pictures in night

Hi,
Thanks for sharing this. How about video quality and OIS performance of G4? I heard about shaky videos captured using G4 while walking., compared with S6. Can you confirm that or perhaps share some sample videos?

One more thing, you can play with the ISO in night picture to, to get a better night picture..
Tripod
iso - 50
manual focus - put it up..
shutter 4 seconds - 30 if there are no flares / lights
plus: put a timer(3 seconds) because if you press the shutter button you will move the phone
Wow the first pics on this topic look like trash...

How'd you do that?!
manual mode, long exposure time (8-30s), low iso (50-200).
for the "light writing" you need a light source, in that case i used the backlight of my bicycle.
due to the long long exposure time you cant do those picture "by hand", you will need a solid stand, I used a tripod.
My camera takes much better pictures and seems to focus faster after the update. The speakers sound noticeably better too. I know all the hype was around the ram and srgb mode but not much has been said about the camera and speakers. Anyone else notice these improvements?
Nope, but I also haven't been testing those two things. I should.

The camera improvement was the one thing I was looking forward to most with this update. A few sources made detailed mentions of it.
For example...
http://www.techtimes.com/articles/1...mproved-ram-management-srgb-mode-and-more.htm
Specifically:
"Audio playback quality suffered radical improvements"
"Camera functionality and quality of pictures got revamped"
I noticed the camera improvement tonight. The left is an S6 Edge. The right the 1+3. This is a dim lit bar.
I took about 50 pictures on July 4th and 98%of them were in focus and looked really good. A noticeable change.
Yes, much easier to get focused photos.
Low light performance also improved.
Which mode you guys are taking pictures mostly? HQ or HDR or normal?
Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
Normal for me
How's the audio quality in videos, is there still a ton of noise suppriession?
Haven't taken many videos since the update but the ones I have sound pretty good. I don't notice any sound issues. However, the videos start with a slight delay/studder at the beginning. Haven't noticed that before.

Nothing changed in this regard :/
I can also confirm an improved camera performance.
Noticed this especially in focus speed and accuracy in lowlight.

I almost forgot:
Someone on Reddit posted that he got a response from the OnePlus support,
saying that they are aware of this issue and are working on it for an upcoming OTA.
No source or screenshots though. As it is Reddit, take it with a grain of salt.

Very apt pics. The difference is clear
Many of us agree the video quality is just Okay when compared to the photo quality. What I'm trying to figure out, if this is across the board with everyone? Has anyone taken video in lighting in the house? If so, did it come out just Okay? Like I said, photo quality is great, just the video I have an issue with.
Try to turn off the stabilizer indoor it gives better video quality,no more image crop.

This is very good video talking about details, but if you means the colors not accurate it's because the halogen lights can trick the auto white balance, not only in this phone in every other phone too.
You can try the manual white balance but not sure if there is a preset for this kind of lighting.

Perfect for a phone.
Ok, perhaps an overstrong heading! But this is just my opinion - I actually don't find the superwide nearly as useful as I thought I would. First of all, the quality isn't great and secondly the distortion from it being such a small lens makes it interesting, but not particularly useful. It's especially bad if people are in the picture. I'm really interested to know where people have used it where it actually added some value.

I wouldn't agree for main camera superwide, i managed to took some nice pics that i couldn't capture otherwise, quality is not the point here, but what you can capture with it.
BUT! my real question is, what is the freaking point of 2 cameras on front? They make almost no difference between each other..

You can't actually use the second camera on the front it is just solely for depth information to the other sensor

Extremely useful when travelling and trying to take pictures of architecture. Most cities in the world are very dense and objects are large, with limited space to position yourself for a photo. Your only choice here is to carry an ultra-wide lens. Most of my pictures from my recent trip to Vienna were done in ultra-wide. Stick it into DxO ViewPoint and correct the geometry and you have fantastic photos.
For me, Its a useful option in the right situations...
It's useless until you need it. I thought it was the useless but when in a tight space where you need to capture more area in your photo, the wide angle is extremely useful. Happens a lot to me when I take photos for site inspections (construction job).

Or taking a photo for a group of people and the space is somewhat tight you cant go so much backwards
Completely useful since I remember in my LG G6 u can capture interesting perspectives.
Has anyone tried any clip on camera accessories, like a macro lens or zoom lens?
(Mostly interested in a 2x zoom, or even better a 10x or 20x)
Do pics come out okay using these?
Recommendations?

I have a set of some from amazon. Like $40. The clip on is decent, just can slide around easily. Pics come out pretty decent. https://www.amazon.com/CoPedvic-Sam...hone+lens&qid=1606091684&sr=8-5&tag=hydsma-20. Might not be exact set, but make sure that the lens slider will reach your main camera. A universal set might be best. I Tried to upload pics, but too big and errors on uploading.
Thanks.
Could you put links to some pics you took with it, especially the zoom?
I've seen many where the first center is good, but the rest of the pic is blurry and such.
