Last night I was using my nice 16GB microSD card for Windows Ready-boost. After realizing that Ready-boost is useless, I put my SD card back into the phone in the dark while I was going to bed. Yeah, without looking I put it in backwards. It's jammed in sideways because of the position of the reader in the plastic case. I need some way to remove the metal around the reader or remove the camera bezel without actually taking off the case plastic due to the position of the card.

Thanks, that worked. No damage to the card, either! I was almost expecting it to be busted.

Tweezers work too. That how I got mine out when I did that.

Saw this on ebay. For those of you who want to hold cards but don't don't want a bulky case, this seems like it could be a very good option.

It is made of lycra fiber so I can imagine it would hold several cards snuggly like in the pic. It even shows holding a mini liquor bottle.
Also, you could probably stick it to the back of the case of your choosing or just use it on a naked phone if you're into that. I'm thinking of sticking to the back of an extra battery cover for when I don't want to carry my wallet.

When I saw the first couple pics, I was thinking.. ewww.. but the pictures that show the functionality.. I guess if you live in a city with lots of subways, it'd be pretty convenient.

Hi my t-999 is getting a no sim error when i have my sim in and i dont know how to fix it.
EDIT: Also my micro sd wont mount
Sounds like the SIM/MicroSD reader has failed or become disconnected.
See the rectangle in the lower left, that is the connector:

Warranty it, place an insurance replacement request, or take it apart and check it is was disconnected, if so reconnect it, if not replace that part.
Before you do all that, if you were rooted and modded, Odin flash the Stock firmware and try again.
Also try different SIM and sd cards, just to be sure. Go to a T-Mobile store if you don't have any of your own.

It's nothing. Blank spaces where in later models new ports may be added to the housing. If you look below the battery there are 3 more. 2 next to the micro sim and 1 next to the sd card. I may be wrong but that's what they appear to be to me.

The small hole on the opposite side of the flash. That's the water damage sticker. In the little hole.
Hi guys,
I bought my Gnex last year and have some issues with the mic. Nobody heard me very well during the call. So I decide to disassembly my phone and clean the mic. I was surprised because the hole of the mic don't "cross" the case of the phone.

I can see this tiny hole in the external side but can't see it on the internal one. It's normal ? I am not an expert in this kind of field but I suppose that this hole must cross all the case phone.
Thank for your help.

On the bottom partyou should see a bigger piece than the rest if al the boards. Take that off (You have to ubscrew one screw first). Theb when the piece comes off. You should see a white part. Make sure thats clean. Now back to the phone itself. Look at the usb port. To the left of that you should see a squire like thing. Thats the mic.

This is the only part, the entire ribbon cable connecting the buttons and either the sim or SD card slot(not sure which is which) to the motherboard, that is not shown in any guides I've found on how to replace it.

It looks to me like you might have to fish the whole thing through the opening for the card slot but I just wanted to double check. Anyone?
Never mind. I was right. You gotta peel back the foam tape on back back to reveal the SD card slot, which turns out as you can see connected to another part, some sensor in the front I guess related to the front cam. You gotta carefully pry it upwards as it's glued down. thin razor blade. Idk, at this point I barely know what I'm looking at lol. This phone is the worst to dig into. Get yourself some near sighted glasses or something. Recently learned this phone has the worst score for repair ability. I do confirm this. Good luck if you're planning on replacing anything in here.
