So I had this accessory from when I had my Samsung Epic 4G ( the D700 ) and it never really worked well as a stand for it... ive switched to several different phones since then and just kind of shoved it in the center console in my car.
Today I picked up the Samsung Epic 4G Touch ( D710 ) and popped the back door off and noticed that the battery, although slightly thicker due to the mAh gain, remains the same shape and relatively the same size. So i ran out to my car and grabbed the old accessory that i had cast away. Turns out it works better than anything i have seen as a stand for it.
I have some pictures to go along with this but the phone goes in horizontally ( it angles it perfectly for watching videos ) and does not move around at all. it leaves the volume rocker open on the top ( or bottom depending which way you put it in ) and doesn't obstruct any of the screen. Right now i have the phone plugged into the pc while streaming pandora to my speakers through the 3.5mm jack while it rests peacefully in the stand.
Here is a skydrive album i made:

Dang it. Wish I'd found that before I bought the whole kit for $27.99. Oh well, I needed an extra battery anyway.
Can you tell me if it needs a standard, mini, or micro usb power supply? The same as our phone I'd assume.

so how does the 1500mah battery compare to the 1800mah? will i notice a big difference?
Thanks for the head up on the amazon one. I bought another one, so one for the office and one for home. I dislike being tied to a cord to charge my phone.
Great find!!!! I think ill go buy one from sprint!! Also the Infuse 4g From ATT dock works awesome too i bought one the day the S2 4gt came out and love it ill post some pics when i get home if anyone wants pics I got it for 39.99 you should check it out if anyone wants a desktop dock

KiDiGi products are quality products. That 's for sure, I know because I have bought some of them during the last 1 year.
The only disadvantage that someone could find in this desktop craddle, is that the spare battery slot is made only to exactly fit the original 1650mAh samsung battery.
So if you later want to buy an extended battery it won't fit in the slot!!!
Otherwise it is one of the most beautiful and quality docks out there!
I got the battery docks and one issue. Adapter that came with the kit is not for US power plugs

Look at the label on the wall wart and see if it says 110-240 VAC input range. If so, all you need is an mechanical el cheapo adapter like eBay 260826060985. (Sorry, can't post links yet.)

This is exactly the type of destop charger and sync I have been looking at an UK website: http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/samsung-galaxy-s2-dual-desktop-charging-cradle-p29886.htm

Edit:
Crap, just noticed it's for the 1650, but the picture is of an 1850 mah.
i still think the offer on ebay for $40 for the Docking+1850 NFC battery is way better than buying the battery by itself
i got 2 of those
1 for home , and another for the office
and as usual i always carry 2 extra battery pack with me
because i know i can burn through 1 really fast, on my down time
in the doctor office waiting room, i can easily burn the battery down to 30% in 3 hours
that's on the Nexus S and I9000, so i'm expecting similar performance on the SGS2
I just got 2 extra OEM batteries the other day, I've got to say it's pretty sweet to turn up the screen brightness and not worry about battery life.

a bit off topic but yeah... i don't even know what's the point of having an Appointment! with the Doctor, if you arrive on time or even early, and you still need to wait an average of 2 hours give or take a few
so i really hate going to see a doctor unless i'm in dying needs for some prescription medicine
like what's the point of having an "appointment" if it's like a walk-in clinic?

nope, it barely holds the phone on it's own. I felt like I had to force the phone in it and felt it was gonna scratch the Bezel with continued use. I wouldn't buy it again after owning it already.
Sorry if this has been posted before.
I have been looking around at desktop docks for easy access to my phone while its on a desktop under my window next to my sofa, I have been looking at this one
I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with it or could suggest something better, I will want to charge it via the dock and possibly connect it to my PC/laptop without having to remove the phone.
That'd be awesome to have.
The only thing bad about docks like the one posted in OP, is that your phone case might be too thick, and you wouldnt be able to connect it properly. there are other non specific stands out there that can hold any phone size, and then you just plug in a micro USB cable.
personally, I use this on my desk. works perfect, and it allows me to set my tablet or whatever device im using, on the stand, and then i just plug it in.
http://www.bracketron.com/products/mobile-dock-dash-mount
might not be the prettiest thing, but it works exactly how i need it to. and you cant see the stand at all once a device it sitting on it.

I personally am using this:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008KP4ZFI/ref=oh_details_o02_s01_i00
EVERYWHERE.
you have to add a metal plate (i put mine between the battery and the cover.. it is pretty darn thin) and then have one of these at my desk at work, my nightstand and in my car. I just slap the phone on it, and grab it off. secure, doesn't slide around, but super quick to take off. for tha cabling part, yeah.. i have a cable ziptied to it to charge if i need to.
I bought this one http://smartphonepedia.com/samsung-galaxy-s3-desktop-charging-dock.html It SUCKS. Waste of $20.00 IMO
I like the Samsung one but It needs a spare battery charger for me to pay $50.00
This is the one I'd buy right now. http://www.mugen-power-batteries.com...ery-slot.html#
Nice to see some suggestions, of what, and what not to get. I saw some bad reviews of the official one so I decided to see what this wonderful community can say about this and other options, for the charging docks another thing needed would be it needs to know when the phone is charged as well (like the normal adapter) so I don't destroy the battery lol.
Keep the options coming

The one that the other guy posted only includes the case for $34. You have to buy the mat seperately. The one I found comes with both....but I'm sure that the quality isn't as good though.
that powermate case looks fat!
This is not exactly wireless, the four tits on the bottom of the door contact the bars on pad to charge. I have the qi wireless door from Verizon and the energizer two position pad. It works great but there is supposed to be a update that will increase the distance it will charge. Thus most cases will not be a problem. The current one is about 5mm I believe and suppose to be going to 40mm. Distance between the door and charger. Goodluck
See the Galaxy sIII shine via SynergyRom
Hmmm...... I don't think the quality on that thing would be very good, $55 seems pretty steep, I'm pretty sure you can get something of better quality for cheaper or the same price.
well.. technically it's wireless...... since it doesn't require a plugging on cables.... but yeah.. it's just one of those with contacts....

Yeah it looks like the power runs through the power mat on those metal strips, and the contacts on the back case make a connection with that. Doesn't seem very safe or efficient, plus those contacts on the back of the case seem like they'd scratch the powermat strips, and if you look carefully on the bottom right of the first picture it looks like that may be the case, could also be writing or a reflection or something else too.
I think the price doesn't justify it. I'll stick to wired charging and wait for a phone that includes wireless charging out of the box.
wireless
This is not Qi(only way to go) nor Powermat (not bad, but not Qi...yet) nor is it inductive charging. It is CONDUCTIVE (Duracell) and useless...In this case, use a USB cable instead
I hate to play devil's advocate here, but by using this type of charging, the only thing you're doing is reducing the number of inserts/removals on your usb port thus having it last abit longer... but these things are also rated for 50,000+ insert/removal cycles so it's kinda hard to use these devices long enough to go over that limit.

You're completely missing the point. The main idea is to increase convenience, which this does big time. I don't care at all about the longevity of USB port.
That said, I bought a Verizon pad for $15 on eBay, and am now trying to find a stupid charging cover that isn't made in someone's kitchen. Finding the latter is the hard part.

i'm not missing the point at all. The convenience factor is implied with that. There is no other real reason for you to get wireless charging.
What i'm saying is that it's an added "benefit" for this specific charger.
Also, send a PM to kms108. he's selling the receiver pad for the Qi chargers.
I'm buying the Nokia chargers as soon as I can find one hopefully this weekend seeing that the Nokia lumia 920 is released on Friday. I have the Qi receiver and it works great on the LG (Verizon Pad) just want something more appealing. They also say that the charger is more forgiving on where you place the phone do to new technology from Texas instruments.

Hey guys so I received this along with a 4.8amp dual port USB car charger. I must say the quality is exceptional. The fact that this is a new up and coming company is really motivating. Hopefully all their products follow suit. Their powerbank 20000mah is made from an aluminum frame so it's a quality build as well. Anyways on to the review!
Upon opening the box from Amazon I noticed the two items came packaged really nice. I could compare it to anker in the packaging but Vinsic is just more visually appealing. I'm a big fan of the blue.

It comes with a power adapter cable for the charger. I'm not used to having to connect one to the charger. I've enjoy having the plug built in to the charger itself. I'm just spoiled by travel chargers I guess. It's not a huge difference but for the power it delivers it is most definitely worth the change.
The 5 port charger itself has a nice weight to it. It is polished smooth white. It has a very nice feel to it. Doesn't feel cheap at all. Very sturdy feel to it. On the bottom it has 4 rubber feet. There's 1 in each corner for it to have maximum grip on whatever surface you place it on.
The size isn't that much bigger than a Galaxy S2. Here they are side by side. My trusty S2 on the left of course.
Here's some battery stats. Looks like it's charging at the maximum rate for the S2. I doubt it's this exact amount but it is charging beyond its capabilities. The battery is not heating up at all and I've ran it from completely dead to 75 so far. I'll post some ampere pictures from my Nexus 5 as soon as I can run it down a bit more. My Nexus 5 is at 75 right now.
Overall for the money and quality of the product i'd highly recommend it to anyone. This is my favorite at home charger now. The anker sits in my gym bag waiting to travel lol ?.
Hope you guys enjoyed the review. Any questions feel free to ask. These models were sent to me by vinsic but the review was unbiased.

this is the 3rd brand of mutiport chargers ive purchased and all have been junk. this on in particular gave me unpredictability issues from day one. 1 port would charge my ph and others wouldn't. 1 would charge my tablet and others wouldn't. bought it for the kids to use to charge multiple devices at once in one location and has not been able to do as it is promised, after about 2 weeks it stopped working completely. I tested the main power cord with my multimeter that wasn't the prob. i tested each output port and got no reading on any of them. i was tempted to crack the case and test further but then I wouldn't be able to return it.
If any one has any advice on a good multiport charger id love to hear about it..
