First of all relax...the Defy is a tough device, physically and software and hacking wise
If you want to revert to stock Indian version, just download the "full sbf file" in the post below and follow the instructions titled "upgrading with full sbf":
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1093352
If you were on a custom ROM it isn't advisable to unroot your device while still on the custom ROM, but nonetheless this should work with no problem

thanx for a great help...i really appreciate it..thanx buddy

Yup you will definitely have warranty if you are on stock indian froyo. Don't root it or unroot it before giving it for warranty repairs. But what ROM were you on before, that caused all those issues you mentioned in OP? Or were you on stock froyo itself but problems started after you rooted?

Thanks for concern buddy thanx alot

You can give it in to the motorola service center now if you wish, you have warranty. Or if the problem is only in the gallery, you could try the app called quickpic, search on market. It is an excellent replacement for the gallery. Also you could try CM7 for the Defy, I personally can't live without it...the stock rom SUCKS in comparison.

Question about warranty and root

If I root my mobile, do I lose my warranty? if so why because it only changes the software layer.
Because they can.
Sucks don't it.
By the way. A void warranty does NOT affect your statutory rights.
Un-rooting is easy enough, if you ever need to send it back.

The problem with that is that the reason you will want to claim on your warranty is because your phone has failed in some way. Often, that failure can mean you can't unroot.
However, in my experience, HTC don't check the firmware of completely dead devices.

mmhhh...if i flash my original o2 ruu rom (from the o2 site) i lost custom recovery and also i have to root it again with unrevoked 3..!!??
with kind regards...Alex
Unfortunately for Telus users, there's no way to return back to stock. There is currently no 2.1 RUU for SLCD screens, let alone a specific one to telus.
I had some dead pixels on my Telus Desire, it was rooted, and i just exchanged it in store and noone even turned it on. I doubt you will ever encounter any trouble, as most of the front end staff won't know what rooting looks like.

HoaLah! i did a bit of re-search and found u stock three uk official ruu.. as its a backup so u need to restore it through rom manager then start it up and do a factory reset.... and ur good to go ... just hit the thanks button i love it to grow bigger

my pleasure I found it yesterday as well
Beside good job
Thank you
Guys,
Hope I'm not hijacking this, seems the original OP query has been answered. I'm in the same boat, DHD speaker has died for no apparent reason. I've flashed various ROMs in the hope sound starts working again (and it did, for about 5 minutes, then disappeared again)...
So, I'm going to have to send it back to 3 for repair. Based on my initial experience with 3 CS, I don't want to give them ANY excuse to not repair the phone. So, I've flashed various versions of "Stock roms", latest being the one you mentioned in this threed.
They all work, but the radio version seems to not get downgraded, I still have 12.28b.60.140eU_26.03.02.15_M3, I *THINK* this is a much more recent radio (reccommneded for CoreDroid 3.0 I think), and also, the kernel, doesn't seem to be the stock version.
Can anyone poiny me to the stock versions of the radio and the kernel, and where I could download them, please?.
Thanks.
RIz

Thanks, I was just looking for this.. I did an update from eclair to froyo (2.1 - 2.2) and everything was fine until I did a hard reset and lost service and it kept crashing each time I would go into the settings and wireless/APN options. Wouldn't take ATT and TM sim cards.. Going to try flashing the SBF and see if this resolves it.
Edit: aaand, flashed and all fixed.
Great find, nice to have an option in case we screw something up. I wonder if there's any benefit to flashing the 2.2 sbf instead of flashing a clean 2.1 and updating to 2.2...

Got it flashed. Same way as you flash a rom. Like you tho, I havent a clue why. I also flashed the rom. Did NOT help with freezing, in fact seems worse now. Cant use my phone for more than 3-4 minutes before it freezes. Any idea who Id contact at Motorola to get assistance with this, because this is ridiculous. Thanks for posting this.

Hey check your SD card. My phone wasn't just freezing....it would completely just reboot and stay on the moto screen. I found out that i was my memory card. When I removed it, it worked fine and when I put it back in, it shut down automatically. Found out the problem was the 2nd partition I to use the link2sd...had to change it so that the 2nd partition was set to primary and its been working fine ever since. Not one single freeze or anything.
Dunno if that is going on with you but if it is I hope this helps
How do I set the second partition as primary? I've noticed also when anything gets linked, it goes to the first partition. First partition mem goes down, whereas second stays the same.
Sent from my MB508 using XDA App
I use something called 'EASEUS Partition Master 8.0.1 Home Edition' that I think I downloaded on google (I don't remember) but you can use it to change create and format partitions and you just gotta make sure you set it to 'primary' and not 'logical'. Try to see if you can find it and do it and let me know. If you can't find it let me know and I'll see if I can send you mine. And if you do and you still have trouble, detail to me what is going on and i'll walk you through it. It took me a lil while to figure it out.
So I could use minitool partition as well? That's the one I have. I will try that out. Phone hasn't froze today for a long time, but now that I said that, well you know. Lol I will keep you updated for sure. Thanks.

Found out why the need for the updated bootloader. Froyo does not support the Eclair version of the bootloader, so if you need to flash again, you would not be able to unless you update the bootloader. HTH
I'm honestly kinda a noob at this... never messed with anything like a bootloader. Can somebody explain to me how to do this? I'm wanting to flash back to a clean 2.2 and the post before mine sounds like that might be bad without updating boot loader first.
Also the rom, just install it with RSD?

You will flash the bootloader the same as the froyo rom in RSD. Do the bootloader first. Then flash the froyo rom. Any questions, don't hesitate.

Phone fully on or update mode or what? For both?
USB Debugging on?
Version of RSD need to be up or still using 4.9?
I'm not 100% of this, as I don't have the MB508 as of the moment, but I believe once you flash the stock 2.2 rom or OTA you will loose root.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, this is just intended for those who want to know info.

When you flash you will need to go into bootloader mode. Power off phone, the use the proper key funtion (sorry don't remember what it is) to start bootloader. Then flash updated bootloader. When flashing via RSD, it doesn't matter about usb debugging because you aren't fully booted into the phone. I used version 4.9 and had no problems flashing both. Good luck.

I think they will reflash stock ROM without even looking at what you have installed. I had CM installed when I sent my bricked phone, I thought they won't repair it because warranty was void, but they didn't look, just replaced the chipset and flashed stock ROM.

oh then your warranty void now because you have cm10 installed so they ll know you rooted phone.where i live, htc service center valid warranty wheather my bootloader is locked, unlocked because they said sometimes when we replaced pcb, sometimes some pcb comes from different countries so they are factory locked or unlocked.but your stock rom and recovery is madatory.once i have same problem like you and i tried many times to unroot and getting back my stock rom but accidently i bricked my phone but i have stock rom and recovery so their replaced my pcb.
anyways now you ll probably get new pcb so stock rom is in it,but if you ll get your back with cm10 tell me i ll upload stock rom(flashable zip from cwm recovery).
I knew, that i wouldn't hide it from them but install of stock Rom would be some kind of proof, that this problem isn't software related and make sure they won't dismiss me.

yeah but as per warranty statement, when you root your device, your device warranty will be void.no matter its software related or hardware related.but see its depends on customer executives if they are good they ll repaired your phone.

dude that guy wants stock rom so i ll give him stock rom.this is his matter not mine.and second thing you have got good piece of wildfire s so you wont have any problem.some people got problems like touch screen, sensors and battery overheating and all so to gain warranty at service center your phone's software and bootloader should be at factory state.if i installed cm10 and go to service center for repair they wont touch phone because its rooted.so who will pay for that? probably not you.and upto installing rom in device its upto depend on owners.i changed my pcb about 6 times so don't tell me about roms.(no offence)

Remove bump(twrp)+ unroot

Hi guys
I installed [ROM] AndroidNow HD 1.7 G3 D855 [V10L/support ART] on my LG G3 via BUMP(TWRP)
Now I want to know if there is any way to install STOCK ROM back(this one which was on phone when I get it) If answer is yes, where do I get flash file for it?
Also can I unroot and remove BUMP ? I'm asking because of warranty...Thank you
you have NO warranty as you have flashed a custom rom/recovery and rooted (depending on country and/or fault with device) also use the search button as this has already been covered plenty.

technically you void the warranty by modifying the phone, however, there are arguments especially in the EU that a software fault cannot breach the warranty for faulty hardware etc.
also if you flash back to stock they have no way of knowing what you did, also from experience they tend to not care anyway.
Thank you guys for all your answers to my question.
Specially to the guy , who gave me the link to the KDZ image file and FLASH tool.

If you are returning to stock only for the Lollipop update you might want to just wait because I'm sure we'll have a working Bump'd port by the time LG starts rolling out the update near the end of this year. That being said, you may still receive the update before us, but Autoprime and TheCubed have warned us not to take OTA updates because Qualcomm is rolling out its anti-rollback updates soon that may prevent you from ever unlocking this phone again and may make you lose root for a long time. I'm sure that LG is working on patching Bump in the 5.0 update so just be warned that you may never get a custom recovery on this phone again if you choose to take the official update. I am relying on the devs here to get us a Bump'd version so I can keep this beast free. That's just my two cents and it's your decision I just wanted to warn you about the risk. Have a good day man!
Thank you for your answer. Yes I heard about this news(qualcom,..) but I will go back to stock, after that I will ROOT my phone again and install BUMP. Do you have any information about when the BUMP tool will be released so cyanogenmod and other ROM's will come?
EDIT: Will this method also work: http://www.androidrootz.com/2014/07/how-to-unroot-lg-g3-all-variants.html ?
