Currently using the Incredible, but Windows Phone 7 seems really awesome. Microsoft says devices will be ready for the holidays on Verizon, and my wife just said Merry Christmas...so I wonder, should I?

It's hard for us to answer that question without a little information on how you use your phone. Personally I had to sacrifice some functionality coming from Windows Mobile but for me it's well worth it because the overall experience is so much better with WP7.
I really like the idea of xbox live gaming, netflix streaming, and office being built in. I do use exchange, want some form of tethering, like apps that use my camera for things like augmented reality and bar code scanning.
I have multiple gmail accounts, multiple live accounts, and work exchange. On Android I can have these all setup with active-sync.
This is just a sampling and given how young the platform is I would expect to give up some things I have return use too.

I highly recommend an HD7. They come with sound producing front grills at each end. There is a lot to like about WP7 but right now it is a little shy of features. That will change as time goes by.

Syncing all your various email over the cloud is no problem although you have to have a seperate tile for each account, no tethering yet except by hack only the lg phones have any sort of augmented reality - this is version 1 software - I like it and will stick with it but some features are missing
I have tried all three main phone OS's and even though there are a lot of missing features, I prefer Windows Phone 7.
What about DLNA streaming to my xbox? I'd like to browse and beam multimedia from my phone to my xbox. I don't want to navigate with my xbox. What about video?I hate that .3gp isn't supported by the xbox or ps 3. I thought I read that they shoot in wma right?

Wp7 uses activesync for hotmail and exchange, and google has google sync. It supports multiple activesync accounts. That isn't a factor. Activesync IS microsoft technology, you know.

So how is battery life on wp7 devices?

Its really a nice gadget to have, fast smooth but you may feel the lack of some features which you are already familiar of. If you have the extra cash to burn then go for it, just dont expect WP7 to satisfy all your 'techy' needs.

battery life for me seems on par with my hd2, not great, not bad. Depends really on screen brightness and how much you use the device.

I think only the lg's have dlna streaming right now, seems like if one supports it, it shouldn't be that hard for all wp7 to support it down the road.

Seems like my HD7 is getting better as time goes by. It's definitely better than HD2 running Android.
I may have to hold off since Dish released their app today!

Hope they make a WP7 App, too, but at least there's an Android App. That will be nice, Lol. Just as I was actually starting to give Spotify a bit of consideration!!!
There's already a WP7 Rdio app.

From Rdio? They don't have it listed on their website. I dint tend to use third party apps for stuff like that...
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Yep. Just do a search in the Marketplace for Rdio.
And why post this in the wp7 forums if you don't think there is a WP app? There is, btw, published by rdio, btw.

Because if there isn't one, I want one once this launches?
That's pretty simple... Really...
I'd never heard of the service before I read that. That explains my ignorance of their app, and since I tend to use my Vibrant as a daily driver (hence the tag in my post) my HD7 was in another room and I wasn't about to get out of my bed just to check that.
Hello I just found I ringtone app maker on marketplace it name is "ringtone maker"
Its very intuitive!
Sent from my HD7 T9292 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
Too bad it doesn't convert mp3s to ringtones...
There are too many ringtones apps on the marketplace. Any recommendations?
easyring gets brilliant reviews and myxer just got out today (brilliant android reviews).

There's also WebTone:
http://www.windowsphone.com/en-US/apps/3e1d2705-20aa-437e-b5b9-88f96502879e
It is free, and lets you enter a web site and ringtone name, but doesn't appear to have any browse feature. The reviews indicate that it works well with zedge.net.
Yeah but I would really like to avoid web based stuff
Sent from my Samsung Omnia 7 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
I'm confused. Myxer and EasyRing are both web-based. They download ringtones from specified sites. How is that really any different?
Waiting patiently for one that will access zune marketplace, and then allow me to edit the track. I will pay a whopping dollar for this convenience. Otherwise I will just do it the old fashion way.
Oh I didn't know that, I thought it was all in-app. I'm not really for apps that just open a website, I can do that myself.

I have easy ring, and I used makemyringtone.com to make some...Easy Ring is waaay easier and has thousands of different tones.
Sent from The Syndicate using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
Easy Ring is the only one I like so far.
I prefer to make my own : http://www.1800pocketpc.com/how-to-make-your-own-ringtones-for-windows-phone-mango/23188/
If you have Realplayer on your PC or laptop, use the mp3 trimmer... Works pretty good

As today Facebook app got a new update but I still feel that it's not quite good enough because of very slow speed, old UX& ... (as the app always was)
I'd like to know which app you use for Facebook recently.
I've tried Scope beta for few weeks, love the idea but still buggy and slow.
Thanks for sharing guys!

Same.. I haven't had an issue with it for ages.. It does what it's supposed to do.
I just go to facebook.com, looks just like PC version that way.
Facebook app is fine its smooth and fast no lag for me whatsoever
It takes 10-20 seconds of a black screen before it loads, but after that it works fine.
The problem i have is with its widget, i sometimes get a blank widget or it doesnt update.
Anyone with those issues??
I use flipboard for facebook, I really like the magazine format.
What's up with the Facebook website and Android? The input fields don't allow your dictionary to work and gets all screwy trying to type and backspace. It does this on any browser I've tried.
I just use Android Pro Widgets to use the Facebook and Twitter widgets for feeds, and click through to Facebook occasionally for notifications and IMs. I don't need instant notification about anything related to Facebook.

No issues here with the Facebook app. Loads in less than 2 seconds. Now on my phones it is a different story. They haven't ran it right in a year or so.
No problems here, more speed is needed with all apps to support Nexus 7 Quadcore CPU

There is a reason Facebook is working on a native app for Android and already did for iOS. Our current app is an HTML5 based slow piece of trash..,

I deleted facebook app ,using default cm10 browser is much faster..on a 20mbt internet i wait for 4-5 seconds and more for a 50kb picture to show, that app after 1000 updates is still bad joke.I left app only on my phone because of push notificafions but i dont use it.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Friend caster is pretty nice. Dual panel layout and everything. One problem with the official Facebook app is that it took so long for it to start up like 20 seconds for a black screen then another ten on the splash screen. Completely ridiculous. I heard they forced their employees to use android phones instead of I phones just to make them feel the crap they made for android.

From The Verge:
"We've been excited about Microsoft SmartGlass since we first got a look at it during E3, and now it's time for Android users to get in on the fun: the app has officially been released for Google's mobile platform. The app requires Android 4.0 or higher, and will allow users to interact with their Xbox 360 to control video playback, navigate the interface, and search content. The real magic happens with it comes to interactive content, however: as we saw back in June, game developers and content creators can use the SmartGlass platform to offer additional information, second-screen gameplay, and even let users browse the actors in the scene of a given movie to see what else the peformers have been in.
It's not yet clear how much content has been equipped with SmartGlass functionality just yet — and there's no sign of the iOS app for that matter, either. Still, this release is an important step towards Microsoft making its new vision for the living room come to fruition."

I read about this app the other day. Did a search for it and couldn't find it. Guess it's actually out now. Def interested in trying it since I've already found out it plays nice with my xbox for watching my movies and pics and listening to music from my S3. Almost effortlessly in fact. So this smartglass app should work pretty good since the chinese remote I bought don't work all that well, haha.
Love this app since comes really in handy if your not able to connect from your xbox
