New versions in the market for us. Uninstall old version first. It asks for SU but works if you deny it. Not sure what that is about yet.

Nice! Video finally works. Time to go change my rating for the app.
Awesome, glad to see it.

Weird how it asks for root privileges. I almost allowed it!

I know. I thought about it but didn't. Haven't had a chance to look it up yet.

Stills work if you allow it.
Since everyone was commenting about the fact that it asks for SU, just wanted to add that having root is not necessary. I know it's implied, but just wanted to clarify it. I'm completely "out-of-the-box" stock, and it's working without a hitch, finally.
I just installed it straight from the market: works perfectly, and didn't ask for root permissions at all.
<<bringing it since 2010>>
Thanks, just installed fine, without asking for root permissions
this works for anybody? or u need an HBO subscription?

My New Galaxy Nexus is rooted and it was working fine, but not everything is being auto denied even the super user app. Any one seen this?
CR
Was it stock but rooted? Maybe you took an update?
Shell into it and see if you can su at all.
Yes it is stock but rooted. Does the 4.0.2 update break root?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Looks like it is broken. I will reboot and see if that fixes it.

Did you make sure the app is not on the approved list? Auto deny only works on apps that have not been set for approval. Let us know what happened. I'm curious which application appears to be bypassing it.

Yep, pretty sure it does break it. I saw posts on another forum about similar problems. Just root it again through recovery.
So I am in the middle of rerooting but it is still sitting at the google screen. Lets hope this is the fix that we needed.

So the re-root helped. I guess the update to 4.0.2 breaks root. I thought it was fine. Hmm.. Not to everyone i guess.
This is my first contribution to the Samsung Epic Touch 4G. I have a Hulu membership and was angry cause our device wasnt "Compatible". Talk about a total rip off. So I modded the apk to work with our device. It is 100% Fully functioning. I hope to contribute more later down the road. Maybe an ICS Rom ;-)
NO ROOT REQUIRED
YES YOU HEARD ME. NO ROOT REQUIRED.
Directions:
1. Download Modded Apk
2. Sideload apk (Install like any other app that is non market)
3. Sign into your Hulu Plus Account (YOU NEED A MEMBERSHIP)
4. Enjoy Hulu Plus

Does this work if you have adblock enabled? Is there a way to disable the adblock check? I'd switch to this in a heartbeat from Netflix if they got rid of the ads, even for paying customers. lol

To be honest Idk. I disabled the phone check within the app itself. And it is ad free already so i would think it would work fine.

Slick app, but nothing is streaming. Most likely because of adblock, just keeps buffering. Shame.

I dont have ad blocker so I didnt test that aspect. I will decompile the app and see if I can try to Mod that. No Guarantees.

Thanks for this. Can you please share the steps you took or maybe point me towards some resources? I'd like to try to modify it for my Google TV with Honeycomb.
Thanks, can you mod the latest version of hulu plus? This version you posted is older than the one I currently have (1.0.145)

Weird that this isn't officially available for this phone but is on my 3d. Didn't make girlfriend happy lol.
Works on Galaxy Nexus LTE fyi. Would love to see OP include instructions on how to do the mod yourself of possible! Great work, I can't believe this didn't happen sooner with all the "unsupported" devices...
Works like a champ on my Huewai MediaPad/TMobile Springboard running ICS rooted. Thanks so much.
Works great on my rooted GNex (VZW) - Thank you VERY much!

Yup:-/ I just use voodoo root keeper, temp unroot real quick before I use anything that detects it. Its stupid but at least a quick fix for the time being in these apps.

Change superuser apps to SuperSU and use it's temp unroot feature. Also if you do so make sure you update SuperSU's binary's before you delete superuser

How do you update the binaries with SuperSu? Went through the settings and couldn't find update or update binaries.

It sort of did that... it said supersu needs to be updated. Didn't mention the binaries. When i opened the settings and didn't see the option, i figured that was the case but I wanted to be sure before I removed the old su
Thanks for verifying it for me.

I read the reviews and that's bull. There's no reason to keep rooted users blocked. Just rate it a 1 star and move on. Hopefully they'll see the error of their ways and revert the change.
Is it as easy as uninstalling the first .apk in the system folder and reinstalling the new one back in there? For some reason I don't know if that will work just that way with superuser.
Uninstall super user go to market purchase superuser elite and enjoy ??

Yea I thought I tried this like a year ago and stuff got messed up. Maybe I didn't change the properties after installing it and moving it into the system folder (with root explorer) but something didn't work.
Actually I may have been mistaken it might be just the unlocker you have to purchase on top of the basic app.
Dude you want the pro version well idk if it requires an unlocker or there is another standalone app for it but download from market "fast uninstaller " and delete the Super User app and install the other pretty easy..
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Superuser elite just installs on top of superuser. It unlocks extra features. Not useful without the basic superuser.

The Google Plus app updated yesterday. While the update is phenomenal, one thing I've noticed: I am no longer able to make video chats via cellular data. I have talked to many other users on other carriers and it seems some carriers allow and others don't. I wanted to start this thread to both find out which carriers allow video chat through hangouts over cellular data and find out if there is a work around for us AT&T customers.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda premium
It's a known issue on AT&T.. Was an article I think a few days back and I think today or yesterday that AT&T will make it working by the end of the year

It worked for me up until the update to Google Plus yesterday.

Use talk enabler from the market. Done. Works just fine with the new hangouts app and video calling. Called the wife yesterday with it.

maybe im confused but talk is what updated to hangouts and plus is still plus but works with hangouts. Either way... im on tmo and couldnt video chat my lady who also has the t999 and hamgouts app so idk

What is your point? This link doesn't answer my question. I already knew the app replaces the Talk app. Please read my question again. And it would also do you good to treat people with respect and not assume that they don't do research before making a post.

He is pointing you to that thread where someone has already posted a work around to your problem.
I have talked to some people and they say that AT&T is gonna get it back working before the year is out. I would rather not root, but thank you very much for the link.

I know you said you wanted a work around without being rooted but for anyone else looking for a solution that is rooted try this out:
1.Get SQLight editor from the market
2. Get Root Explorer from the market.
3. use Root Explorer to browse to /data/data/com.google.android.gsf/databases/gservices.db and click on it
4. then click on “main”
5. Scroll down to gtalk_vc_wifi_only – highlight and hold
6. Press “Edit Record” and change the “value” to false instead of true
7. Reboot
I did it last night and it work perfectly.
