[Q] Rom Manager

ok so i just rooted my et4g and i installed rom manager, im trying to flash the recovery and it has four options to flash.
none in which say et4g
only
samsung at&t GalaxyS2
samsung GalaxyS i9000
samsung GalaxyS i9000 (MTD)
samsung GalaxyS2
which one is my best bet?
if any of them i think the bottom one is but i was worried that one is for the euro s2?
any help would be greatly appreciated

Odin a rooted kernel with clockwork mod (chris41g's lost kernel is what I used), and follow the ROM install instructions from the development section.

and lets just say if i used this vs using that method lol

If you are worried about customization issues or just want to remain stock, I would flash this. It is completely stock with cwm. You can than flash a prerooted rom or su.zip and you are rooted and ready to go.

I Odin the above mentioned tar and nandroid back up pure stock and running monkey blue theme.
By the way if lose root when doing this just flash the su zip file.

Yeah... no, not really. GSM models will ALWAYS get CM before CDMA models. Fact of life.

[ACS][KERNEL][CWM][ODIN] EL26 Repack ACS5/CWM5

I have 2 different EL26 kernel repacks.
One with ACSRecovery5, and one with CWM5.
Same as before, stock untouched kernel, repacked with your choice of recoveries.

Ok, stupid question... I flashed the ACS version, now how do I get of the yellow triangle again?

I tried to flash this with cmw and my phone won't boot up now. Is anyone else having this problem? I did it twice and the same thing happened, so I just flashed another kernel.

The yellow triangle is triggered when you ODIN flash a kernel (or kernel+CWM in this case) which is not signed by Samsung. The way to get rid of it is to flash a Samsung-signed Kernel or to use a USB jig.
I'm uploading the EL26 ODIN package right now, so if you wait about an hour and a half, you'll be able to flash a full EL26 rooted, then use the Auto Root package to install EL26+CWM, thereby avoiding (or getting rid of) the yellow triangle.

Sorry if this has been asked....I DID look.. But will this kill the 4g tether hack? Im on thr ek02 with the hack.. Will this kill it?

Same here....WAIT!! it does finaly boot up...it has NO boot animation... Wait about 2min and phone will boot right up!

Did it sit at the Samsung Galaxy S II logo for a few min or at a black screen? Cuz mines been at the Samsung Galaxy S II logo for over 5 mins ....

i rooted my epic 4g today and it said it passed. however when it reboots it stays on the samsung screen. i am able to get into the download mode, but when i try to flash the stock kernel, it says that it fails. please help

Can you get into cwm? If you can then download an ei22 rom and flash from cwm...

no, i havent been able to do anything to my phone after using odin to put in the rooted tar. im able to go into the download mode not the cwm

Wait please tell me exactly what you did you tried to flash a rom? Thru odin? Or tried rooting thru odin and on what software ei22? Ec05 etc.

Well if you can't get into cwm try to odin back to stock ec05 then flash a custom recovery in odin and then download a rom and flash it in cwm. I'm sorely confused on what you did please expand

i used odin 1.85 and used the lostkernel 1.02.4 something like that when i tried to root my phone.

Okay well I've never heard of it. Anyways just go ahead and flash back to stock ec05 if you don't know how to do this then follow this:

Once back on ec05 you have two options update to ei22 or just root ec05 by flashing a recovery not a kernel. Ill provide you a recovery give me a second.

Kala..if u have the stock ec05 file on ur pc..odin back to eco5, and then let the phone do the ota update to ei22. From that point u can go ahead and the rooting process. Make sure u are not using the data cable that came with the phone.

omg my friend was right i guess the stock eg30 kernel doesnt work for my phone anymore. i had to download the eb13 kernel

What's happened is...the download may have taken, but didn't take properly.

[Q] Epic touch 4g on boost mobile

I have a epic touch on boost mobile on FC 14 MIJJz BLEND ICS v2.3. my question is what would happen if i flash the new fc18 modem will any of my settings break?

i have a epic 4gt on boostmobile with blazer rom 4.0 but every time i flash any ics rom my 3g gets messed up i tried everything to get it to work i used qpst to reload my settings but that doesn't fix anything...do you mind telling me they way you flash your rom or is it just the regular way from cwm or one click... Can you tell me your settings on qpst so that i can compare them to mine

yea all i do to flash a new rom is through recovery i havnt had to use qpst. only to try out other prl's. i only change the mms settings when i reflash it.u havent tried flashing a modem?

The answer is probably for me.. . Yea i did the apn settings but it didn't help its like there's something in the rom that's stoping the data from being received cause it shows the 3g but when i open up applanet it connects with no problems so i don't know what to do....... Yes i flashed every modem out there but it doesn't help im probably going to reflash my phone to boost again to see if that helps

Flashing a modem/kernel/rom through cwm or odin should not touch your meid or ha/aaa hex keys needed for 3g data.

That's the thing it doesn't all my settings are the same in qpst after i flash but it just doesn't connect to the Internet but like i said when I open applanet it connects with no problems so im thinking that its some setting in the browser or some where else that doesn't let the browser connect

so it wouldnt erase my 3g settings and i wont have to reflash my et4g to boost

His problem comes from any ICS rom for some reason, but since you're running fine on FC14 now, any update should be fine, especially since the modem itself changes nothing but the baseband and is compatible with any rom.

Right my 3g works fine with any rom just not ics roms

How do you get the epic on boost o.o

just use the OG epic guide and all works fine or they recently posted an E4GT guide.

i know my msl code already and put it on but it says wrong code. it works with ##3282# but not ##debug#

Another problem: No Mobile Data

My last problem (Phone says all my contacts and even random numbers are blocked)- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2357907 got worse. I decided to go back to EL29 but 3g doesn't work at all and doesn't even show up in the staus bar. 4g appears and says it's connected but doesn't actually work. Wi fi works fine, but can't text or call because I have no mobile data. So what options do I have left?

I'm completely stock so EL29

Did you use odin or mobile odin? Mobile odin will not flash modems.

Used Odin OC to restore back to EL29 haven't done anything after that

Sorry stumped as well...could your APNs have gotten jacked up?

i don't know I never messed with it and I'm pure stock so they should be how they were when i got the phone right?

Yes was on TW, reflashed twice and even flashed CM 10 then MIUI v4 before going to EL29. All clean flashes.

Only reason I ask is that I flashed an AOSP ROM and my APNs got out if whack.
So I just one clicked GB27 to start totally over fresh.
