[Q] Slow caller... - Wildfire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello!
I have a problem.
If I want to call somebody, it took me about half min.
I press phone button, if I use the smart dialer, its about 10 sec to find any contacts, and then I press Call, and I have to wait 15-20 sec to call.
I deleted the call history, etc, and its slow again.
I have stock rom, with HCDR kernel.
Any ideas?
Thank You!

Try to use touchpal dialer from android market.

Touch screen unresponsive

Interesting bug I've run into over the past few days: Whenever my phone screen turns on because of an incoming call, text message, etc. (aka, turns itself on, not me pushing the power button), the screen does not respond at all to touch input for the screen, or the home, menu, back, and search buttons. The only way to get it to start acknowledging input is to push the power button and cycle the screen off and on. Of course the downside to this is that it will reject the incoming call and send it straight to voicemail.
Does anyone else have this problem, or know of a solution? I don't have any apps actively running when this happens as I use ATK fairly aggressively. ROM and kernel details are in my signature.

[Q] How to multi-task while on a call

Is there anyway to switch to another app while on a call?
On Sony Xperia, one can press "home" key to switch to the home screen and start another app while continue to talk on the phone, but on Note 2 the call screen stay on no matter which key is press. Can anyone tell me if this is normal.

Maybe a other dialer helps? I've not tested it on standard. Go Contacts EX (dialer and contacts). I can dial and press home there.

No, what I meant is when you are already in a call. How to you get to check emails, SMS message or even play games at the same time when you are speaking to someone. I can not switch out of the contact's screen as it simply locks up the screen no matter which key is pressed. http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/frown.gif
I am using the Note 2 LTE
I just tested my phone..while on call..I pressed the home button..my dialer went away and my home page appeared. I am using stock rooted rom with go launcher.

What I mean is that during a call I can just press home, then open what ever I like. It works with Go Contacts anyway. I just tried it. Opened up Gmail without issues. See the green area in the top?

[Q] Phone auto-switches Ringer Mode when Making Call

I only noticed this problem within the last 4 months. I just haven't had time to investigate fully or post about it. I've searched the forums and Googled to no avail. So, hopefully someone can shed some light on this.
Problem:
Whenever I dial out, just as I hit the dial button, the phone auto-switches the ringer mode to whatever is "next up". What I mean when I say "next up" is that if you were to physically hit the Volume Up button on the side of the phone, this is essentially what my phone is doing automatically when I hit dial.
So example, if my phone is currently on silent mode (i.e. if I hit the Volume Up button, it'll switch to Vibrate mode), and I try to call someone. Just as I hit dial, the phone places the call but also switches the phone to Vibrate mode. It does not switch the ringer mode when I hang up, it stays in Vibrate mode.
To further the example, if my phone is on Vibrate mode, and I try to call someone. As I hit the call button and the call is placed, the phone will change itself to Ring mode with the lowest volume.
I do not have any case on my phone and my dial button is no where near the volume buttons. Since I have noticed this problem, I've deliberately tried to ensure I hit the dial button without being anywhere near the volume buttons. So it isn't me accidentally hitting other buttons.
Is there a way to stop this? Why is my phone changing ringer mode when placing a call?
Any help would be appreciated!

[Q] CM 11 can't hang up and use keypad while dialing

When I call someone the screen goes black and just can't get the dialer back up unless I press the menu/home button, drag down the notice ribbon and click on the call. And even then I can't use the bloody thing since it doesn't respond. So I can't hang up or bring up the keypad.
Help someone!
