Hi everyone,
I've been flashing a few different ROMs to my phone lately and have been booting into ClockworkMod Recovery 2.5.1.2 no problem for about a week. However the other day after installing redemptive revolution, I attempted to boot into recovery again only to be taken to the Fastboot on my device. I tried a number of different fixes including updating my Hboot to .92 and fixing my permissions but nothing would work, I kept being cycled into the HTC boot menus whenever I would attempt to boot into recovery. I managed to work around the issue by flashing an alternate recovery image (RA_GNM Recovery v1.8.1) which allowed me access to mount my sd card again and reinstall a different rom. Any ideas what is happening? It would be nice to have access to CM Recovery 2.5.1.2 again. Thanks!
You "should" be able to just run unrevoked again and it should install CWM for you.

Worked like a charm! Thanks!
I installed ROM Manager and Clockwork Mod earlier this day, but then I wanted to use AmonRa and ROM Manager can't seem to find the recovery image so I did it via Unrevoked3. It didn't work.
Then I brushed it off and backed up my data, work fine. But after that it started to boot endlessly--I can enter the HBoot AND recovery, but in the recovery mode I can't do anything. If I clicked on something the screen turned blank and if I clicked it again the screen refreshed but nothing happened.
The recovery doesn't seem to have any background image as well--is it normal? I don't have any ROM, rooted of course. How can I fix this?
PLEASE help!

Boot your phone into fastboot and run a stock ruu. This will return your phone back to stock. Then run unrevoked and select amonra.
You cannot use rom-manager with amonra-recovery, it's incompatible.
Hi
I was about to give my phone to my father, as i just got a new one. I was trying to clean up the system, so i did a partision on my sd card, and when i then tryed to reflash the phone using rom manager, i would get a error that /cache/update.zip was missing, even thought i tryed to reinstall rom manager. So i thought i could just boot to my clockwork, and do a factory reset there, so i did that. Now the phone wont boot, it just cycles throught the cyanogen boot animation. and if i go into clockwork everytime i try to select something, it just gives me a black screen, so i seems i cant reflash the device?
does any one got any ideas on how to get this phone alive again?
Did you successfully apply /sdcard/update.zip through ClockworkMod? Were there any errors? Which ClockworkMod version are you using?
You could try reflashing the Recovery partition through fastboot, although I believe you need a S-OFFed device to do that. If your device is S-ON you can use a RUU to unroot your device and then use Unrevoked to root it again. There should be a thread about that in the Desire Dev forum.
Spent 2 days on a desire trying to flash a custom rom and totally doing my head in...
It has been rooted and s-off with alpharev
If I use clockwork recovery to flash Bravo_WWE_2.29.405.5_v5 it installs and boots fine but if I flash any custom rom it just sits on the "why so serious" screen
Have tried everything, have upgraded radio & ril, tried a few different roms all the same result
A stock ruu is an exe which has to be run on your computer.
Try using an RUU to bring you back to a stock ROM, then go through the process again WITHOUT alpharev. So just unrevoked then flashing a custom ROM. If this works, then you can backup your custom ROM then flash alpharev and restore your backup (nandroid).
Hope this helps.
Dan.
Swyped from my Oxygenated HTC Desire
Tried reflashing Bravo_WWE_2.29.405.5_v5 which worked before (.zip rom not a .exe RUU) and wouldnt flash
Have now flashed TMO UK 1.15.110.11 RUU, flashed fine but reboot still freezes in same spot (with a red circle now though)
Any more ideas?

Why couldn't you flash Bravo_WWE_2.29.405.5_v5? CID Error? If yes, create goldcard, put this in your desire and then flash again.
none
clear user data and cache
had same problem and this fixed it! pull battery go into hboot go into recovery etc
the flash error was something to do with symlinking su, after flashing RUU got rid of recovery so couldnt try again to get exact error
reflashed using TMO 1.21 and phone loaded fine, now unrooted obv.
when I first tried I just used unrevoked to root which worked fine, downloaded clockwork from market and flashed custom rom which did not work (same all the time)
afterwards I used s-off via live CD, tried flashing same rom, again did not load
radio wouldnt flash via recovery so flashed via fastboot
tried different hboots from alpharev including CM7 (and using a CM7 rom) and bravo stock
tried 4 different custom roms
every time I flashed I have cleared data / cache
this is on GF's desire, I have a DHD which has been reflashed numerous times with no issues so not a total noob but this has me completely lost

This is how i did it follow this guy
ever fixed it??
Here is what I did
I unlocked the bootloader
I installed CWM
I used CWM to flash superuser
I flashed a ROM (latest MIUI to be specific)
S is also ON. I know it should be off, how can I turn it off at this point?
I can get into recovery, I can install ROMs but the phone will not boot past the HTC logo... help
got a rom to start but now the keyboard keeps crashing :-\
I am wondering if I can get s-off from here? I'm on bootloadeer .98 btw
So, there's two things you can do. You can go back to recovery and download a ROM that's not the current MIUI, which is really buggy. Then, follow my guide #6 in the directory for how to flash ROMs after doing the HTC unlock.
The problem I am having is that I have a custom Recovery installed with S-ON. I need to turn S-Off before I can do any of that. I followed your guide in 6 which links me to a post on installing the recovery, however those instructions state that S must be off. The only ROMs that work are those that resemble stock or install a boot.img in recovery
