I was trying to find a spot to download the modems, and the page with the links to the www(dot)forums(dot)acsyndicate(dot)net are offline. So in order to get to the download links, if you're a new user like me, use Google's cache to view the old download links.
Type "cache:" without quotes and then the link to the forum into Google search.

As a brand new user, I can't post URLs, but at least I can maybe help someone that is having the same problem as I was.

Maybe I'm the only one, but i can not believe.
If i do my visit here in the forum and check the new Postings over "View posts since last visit" i get the list of all new postings. If i try to open these postings in a new tab i got the following link e.g. http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=16652&highlight=
The &highlight= is too much in the link, so i only get a blank page. After editing the link and removing &highlight= it do work all fine.
Any Idea how to solve it? Problem with the forum software?
Tried it with Mozilla on Linux and Firefox on Win XP ....

Well I have looked all over the internet for a forum dedicated to this device and have found nothing.
How is it that a device as popular as this one has no forum of it's own?
Obviously there is modding and disscusions about this device so isn't it about time to put it all into one place?
Would make it so much easier to find information about this device.
I cannot post an external link because I just registered (which was to provide you with the link to help you). So I have outlined how to get to the page which has all the information you will need to get started.
Go to Whirlpool Australia Internet and Technology forum (google it if need be), then add /wik/zte_tablet_v9_optus to the end of the domain to direct to it the page.
First of all thanks for a great ROM. Long time lurker. I wanted to reply in the development thread but did not have the post sufficient post count.
I found the issue with the connection being refused for some websites. It has to deal with the \system\etc hosts file. The file has lots of urls blocked. I noticed this as well when trying to click shortened twitter links and why the browser was not able to load them. Removing some lines from the host file should unblock those sites.
Hope this helps
Small question.
Not important but it keeps me thinking
I have added several treats from this forum to my personal startup page.
When you go to a treat you can choose for "last" (directly to the end of the treat).
But was is the link from this command. I can only add links to a specific page but not a link that goes directly to the end of a treat.
Is there a possibility to do that?

Yes, all you need to do is add ?goto=newpost at the end of the main thread link. Ensure the link does NOT contain a reference to a specific post.
So for your example: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/unified-development/rom-wip-27-9-14-t2889474?goto=newpost
This takes you to the first new post of the thread, the first one you haven't read since your last visit.
Hi all,
I thought it might be useful have a thread dedicated to talking ONLY about official Chinese Stock ROM.
I received my Z6 Pro with a very poor Global ROM, so quickly decided to try the true official ROM, hoping despite its weaknesses it would get far more frequent updates.
Just for reference, here is how I flashed:
Used this guide and source for required files MOD Edit:- Links Removed
Some key steps:
Get phone ready (important) :
Gain access to developer options
Enable USB debugging
Enable unlocking Bootloader
Get computer ready (also important)
Install QDLoader HS-USB Driver 9008
Install latest version of QPST (2.7.474)
Flash
Reboot phone in EDL mode (adb command or press power + both volume buttons)
Connect USB cable
Flash file with recommended settings in QFIL. Make sure “Erase all date before download” is NOT selected.
Ok so that took me to stock rom 11.0.542.
Immediately after I had an OTA to upgrade to 11.1.036; and another one to 11.1.105.
Got rid of Chinese apps and installed play store from the Chinese store.
Now there seem to be one major issue I very quickly noticed with the “4D” gesture. If I use it most of the time I can’t access the home and the home screen is like frozen…
Anyone has same issue ?
Please report other issues / tips for improvements.
Thanks
