Post you Fav WM6 capable game

Hey all,
While im waiting to pick up the missus or in a boring meeting .. i like to dial up my fav Hermes game ..
I thought this would be a great collection if everyone started pitchin in.
Test
Pocket Heroes - No contest
This game is the reason I bought a 3200MaH battery. Its a clone of Heroes of Might and Magic from back in the day and translated beautifully to the PPC platform.
This is the only software I have paid for for my phone, and its worth every penny.
Check out www.pocketheroes.net

if only call of duty 2 worked on the Hermes...!
i use FPSEce Playstation Emulator when i want to play a PSX game
check it out www.fpsece.net
tomb raider : )
greatest series ever in the history of the universe
and showing off 3d graphics on my phone is amazing and a great way to be like iphone shmiphone
pdamill makes a great pinball game called Maggot Attack and Fireball. Both are great games.
Can someone post the old ones like - space invaders etc .. here ..
Lets start a repository for within this thread.
Is it freeware? I know there are several versions of Space Invaders available for purchase.
If you are looking for pirated software you are in the wrong place. Warez is not tolerated at XDA-Developers.
Clearly ..
No one was talking about warez here bud.
I think the title is pretty clear.
I wouldn't say the title was all that clear..."Post you Fav WM6 capable game" and when I read "Can someone post the old ones like - space invaders etc .. here .. Lets start a repository for within this thread." I thought you meant to post the actual files. No offense intended, and now that the air is clear on the warez subject, let the discussion continue...
I normally only keep one game at a time on my PPC for emergency use . Funny you should mention it because currently I have Space Invaders installed.
2 suggestions
NetHack (free dungeon rpg)
Conquest (cheap risk clone)

Are you a retro game artist?

I originally posted this on deviantART earlier today but have received no responses. 1800PocketPC recommended that I also try here. I didn't even think there may be designers lurking in the developer ranks...!
[EDIT: Apparently I'm not allowed to add a link to back-reference the deviantART link because I'm a newbie.]
I'm a software developer from the UK with absolutely no graphical ability. None. Every time I come here and see the awesome visuals that you guys produce I am literally blown away. The sheer range and quality of graphics are mind-blowing.
I'm primarily a web developer but in my past I've been involved with creating Flash-based games along with designers, but my eye's recently been caught by the Windows Phone 7 system that Microsoft are producing and the XNA architecture that you can use to develop games for it.
If you don't know, basically MS are throwing a tonne of money at their new phone operating system (coming out in a couple of months) and will have an application ecosystem similar to Apple's. My plan is to get a few (simple) 2D retro-style games up on their app store to try and capitalise on this surge of new people.
I am more than capable of developing the architecture for the game. I have experience in developing tile-based gaming engines and have already produced one example of a top-down "fighter" game using XNA and some dodgy graphics as a proof-of-concept. My plan is to take this and some other games I have ideas for, develop them in conjunction with a designer (or two) and put them on the marketplace.
I'm looking for someone interested in creating some retro-style game graphics/sprites to help me achieve the goal of selling these games and making us both - hopefully - some money. I'm hoping that someone out there there's someone, possibly a student, who'd like help. Even if the games don't get off the ground (and/or don't make any money), I will provide Windows-executables of the game that the artist might be able to use for course credit, CV, or something similar.
Please note that this is not a paid job. Not up-front, at least. However it is something that I hope will take off and we can arrange a profit-share for. I'm willing to accept the costs of getting onto the approved-developer-list (so that we can submit applications).
Is anyone interested?
Craig.

I have some cogs turning in my head about a variant of audiosurf, except its more of a puzzle, with your favorite tunes. I really think it will take off if its done right, I just need the know-how to develop it myself
Cheers guys
Have emailed you both. Anyone else interested?
I think this is a great idea and my plan is to work with a number of designers on a number of different games/applications/projects over the coming few months, so as many as possible!
Craig.
I'm interested. I have experience in Photoshop (7 years) and am a beginner in character design and fine arts as well. Shoot me an email and I'll show you some of my work.
glad to see you finaly got the ball rolling on this

I Just asked Rovio when is Angry birds coming out for windows phone 7......

I Just asked Rovio when is Angry birds coming out for windows phone 7......and this is the response i got...
Hello,
and thanks for contacting us.
It is our goal to get Angry Birds to all relevant devices out there. News like this are announced at Rovio’s web pages or in a newsletter. In most cases we will not publish any release dates for the updates before they are ready and available. This is to make sure we can finalize the updates without external time pressure and because we do not want to give dates that we cannot always guarantee we will hit.
Best regards,
Angry Birds Team
So it or isn't it??
Rovio already said it would be released this year on WP7. Nothing new there, sorry.
I can't believe any still even has this as a priority anymore. Angry Birds isn't #1 in any marketplace anymore.
Game wasn't even that good.

Translation.
Hi, We are too rich to care. best regards.
Just pick Chicks'n'Vixens.
It's still I'm beta and the dev is very receptive to community input. Have a part I'm shaping the game while supporting a current WP7 dev at the same time.

+1 - Chicks'n'Vixens is every bit as good as ABs in gameplay. Give it a try. You may find you actually prefer CnV to ABs.
CnV doesn't feel as refined as Angry Birds.
Plus, getting AB would be a nice recognition of developers supporting WP7.
Chicks'n'Vixens makes more SENSE...I mean, Birds vs. Pigs...What?

My WP7 Game Review/Preview & News Site

Hey everyone,
I thought I would give the game developers here a heads up that I am looking for games to either review or preview.
http://www.m-arcade.com/index.html
The site is still undergoing some changes, but it is up and running, and I hope to get a review or two up each day. I will try to do video with as many as I can.
If you are interested in getting your game covered on my site, just drop me a line.

[Game][2.2+]Chase Whisply: an augmented reality open-source project

Do you want to be part of something new, something unusual? Let me introduce you to "Chase Whisply", an augmented reality game. My friend and I, two computer science students, have been working on this open source project since early July. And we are glad to annnouce the beta 2.0.
"Chase Whisply" turns your smartphone into a gun sight that can reveal ghosts living around you. Your goal is to find them and hunt them! We use Google Play Game Services to provide leaderboards and achievements, and a player profile keeps track of your progress.
Since we are still students, we can't really compete with a game studio. That is not a valid excuse to provide poor quality content, however. Please help us improving the content of "Chase Whisply" by testing our application from the XDA Android App Tester Google Plus Community.
Be sure that we will appreciate every single feedback, especially on the concept.
From France, with love !
You will get help, but make sure you don't use Xdaer's juz for your testings!
Coz beta testing of apps is somewhat aways from xda's rules!
#no offence
Well wherz the link to your project/app?
Where to download?
Sent from my A2 using xda app-developers app
Hi! I tried to follow the rules of the Google Plus XDA Android App Tester Community, a moderator posted a thread on the community where you can find a link to the beta =) Unfortunately I am a new user, I can't post outside link in my messages. I will try to contact a moderator of the G+ Community to give you a direct link.
Link to the google play beta --> Here
Xda Beta testing community --> Here
Installing to give it a look now
Thanks martinusbe =)
Note that you have to be part of the community before you can opt-in for the beta test, otherwise you will get a 404 error.
Chase WHisply is an open source project, would Xdaer's be interested in a link to the source code?
the link doesn't work
link broken bro
gonna search from playstore
Good luck guys

Hi,
Not always the best graphic game is the one that catches the users and succeed, so if your game is running ok and well advertised... you will succeed.
Thanks for your support !
It's true that we underestimated a lot marketing and advertising. That's our first game, we will learn from our "mistakes" and try to not repeat them =)
