I downloaded this but it is not a hardware service guide. More like a software guide.
The link is wrong and is pointing to an actual ROM. If you go to Vache's site, the service guide is there.
THANK YOU.
I went to Vache's site and found the real service guide.
I see that the battery is a SANYO in a double 1530mAH configuration.
So only one battery but two cells of 1530mAH.
Alot of people have said bad things about the battery life of the A100 just because they read the specs wrong and think the battery is only 1530mAH total.
Which is about the same as my EVO 4G.
It's really 3060mAH total.
3060 mAh!

It was probably written before Honeycomb was released.
thank's you, awesome guide.
So pages 49 through to 100 or so are blank.... "Picasso Diagnostic Tool" is the title of the chapter... or is it me?

I confirm the missing Picasso section.
Also, many of the screenshots and features are from an older Android release. For example on page 105 the power -down dialogue doesn't exist in Honeycomb.

thanks
Your site seems to be down at the moment.
But thanks in advance, I've been looking for this.
Link Down,
Would love to grab a copy of this as well...
Just noticed....we do have only 1530 mah battery life, the two batteries are to increase voltage, not life. The bad battery life is because of this.

We do use both, it uses 2 6v batteries for 12v total. Each is uses as a single 1530 math battery so we have a 1530mah battery life.

Anyone notice these yet? It's suppose to be coming soon for the thunderbolt. If you dive deeper into their page, there's a question about use with a phone that has a kickstand. Notice that rather than showing the evo 4g (the case is available already for it), they show a thunderbolt. So i'm hoping this comes soon.

That item is the powerskin I was talking about in my first post. If you go to the youtube page I listed originally, you can see what it will most likely look like, unless they decide to change the design.

i think my battery is not giving proper battery backup.. wats price one of it in india??
cost of battery
MRP is 559/- but you can get it at Rs 500/- only.
Rs 1100 /-
I have confirmed it from a Samsung Service Center in Kolkata.
I got an original one from eBay for Rs.575/-. Firstly I doubted whether it is original, seeing the price. But I got it verified from Samsung Service Centre, it is indeed genuine and giving good backup too.
I bought it for 1200

I think the ebay listing has ended.Could you provide me alternate link. Thanks
Battery should be around 499-550 INR , it was earlier available on flipkart and letsbuy but seems now its not available on both stores.
Rs.1200 for battery is just way to expensive.
Edit(20-11-11)
(OK found one Ebay seller who has stock for Galaxy 3 battery, I even sent him PM and confirmed the battery model is
same as of our G3, I've ordered one, lets hope this info helps someone).
On a side note, ebay offers 10% off for HDFC customers, you can grab that discount here)
Edit After ordering this seller sent me invoice, email confirmation of order but for some reason I was never provided any courier docket number, yesterday i got a email from ebay that they are auto-refunding this order as seller has not yet provided any shipment details
I hope i get the refund as i didn't got the battery yet.
Also all other sellers are selling this battery for 1000+ INR which is expensive and i would not go for it easily.

Siimilar Story here, my phone is about 14 months old and battery seems to be done.
Please see the post above yours it includes Ebay link and the battery details, I've ordered one and waiting for it to reach me, I am also from U.P.
To check if your battery is going bad you can use this simple check.
power off the phone
take out the battery
on a flat surface like a table try to spin the battery on its wide base
If your battery spins like a yoyo or turns multiple times easily, the battery is done and will keep on loosing the charge.
If your battery doesn't easily spins, the batt. still has its cells intact and can be used for few more weeks, months...
Price check of battery
the samsung has stop making a8 type battery from past 9 months...
so the battery price of original battery which are compatible with galaxy 3 was also compatible with 6 more phones...
and due to shortages now the persons having left with any pieces are selling at high prices...
the only options are to buy these overpriced battery or some other battery with same ratings or change the phone...
i have personally started using battery of galaxy note bought at low price but is having rating of voltages and current to be same the only thing that changes is dimensions for which you need to change the shape of compartment yourself...
At the service center, you can get it for Rs.700 . At an unauthorized place, you can get it for Rs.400-500 but it comes without warranty.
I just got my cellphones battery replaced from samsung care...it cost me 650 INR with 6 months warranty

weird...
i do not want to void guarantee just in order to satisfy my curiosity
anyway, maybe an expert who knows the OS and this particular INFO tool much comes and says that it is due to a standard text issue in the INFO software.
Have not checked with any of the 3rd party apps yet, but if you have Quadrant and/or AnTuTu benchmark apps for instance or similar ones including device info, you can double/triple check with them too (if they do not retrieve data from same source as well)

The quick charge does not work the same or as fast after the first update. Sometimes I've noticed it charge at different speeds. Seems kind of random. I'm pretty sure the quick charge was either disabled or reduced though.

Oh that sucks. Mine works fine so far. I've checked my quick charge battery pack vs. charger itself it works pretty much same speed. I've even test it with my voltage meter.
Check the screen shot from the battery pack.
Fast charge only works with "Fast Charge" power adapters. Not with battery packs. Its mean to increase your voltage to 12V from the usual 3.7-5V This technology its only exclusive to some Samsung chargers. Look on the side to see if its got the "Fast Charger" logo and legend.

On that thread read post 405. He managed to get back 100% charge just please take not that he has an exynos model so you will need the proper files for your model - very important!

My apologies, didn't think you would be so sensitive as I was only joking. The user on post 405 has an Exynos model and pushed an AP file via Odin, which I also tried and was previosuly semi-bricked. The gentleman a few posts ago said he had success and has my exact model, which is why I directed my question to him. I appreciate your concern and efforts though.
