weird...
i do not want to void guarantee just in order to satisfy my curiosity
anyway, maybe an expert who knows the OS and this particular INFO tool much comes and says that it is due to a standard text issue in the INFO software.
Have not checked with any of the 3rd party apps yet, but if you have Quadrant and/or AnTuTu benchmark apps for instance or similar ones including device info, you can double/triple check with them too (if they do not retrieve data from same source as well)

I read somewhere that the HD7 1930mAh battery can be used with the HTC Wildfire S.
So if this is true, this is very good news to WS owners!!!!
I myself am thinking of getting this phone as a backup eventhough I have a HTC Desire HD.
Is the battery the same width, so is it identical to the Wildfire S battery?

Don't know because I don't have the wilfire phone. Just check the volatge if its the same, and the battery fits the phone then it will work.
local phone shop reckons the HD7 battery is as big as the screen on our Wildfire S' and thinks it will not fit.....

That's the battery I was talking about though.
mphi is right about the capacity of the battery, HTC HD7 is officially sell with a 1230mAh. Check this out:
http://www.htc.com/www/product/hd7/specification.html
If it works, it'd be great!
It was said already that both phones and their batteries are a completely different size and formfactor:

When I read about this, I went on ebay and bought a cheap HD7 battery just to test... I can confirm that the battery I received fits the wildfire s without a problem... It says on the battery HD7/HD3 and its 1500mha.. it is not an Original though.
The battery ran down quicker than the original, but after a few days it started to hold its charge a lot more - a week on and im loving.. I took my phone off charge at 08:00this morning, 10 - 15 texts, lots of browsing and facebook and im currently sitting @ 98% 14:15

I would take care with batteries that state this size - its either a bigger battery that comes with a new back for the HD7 so wont fit your Wildfire or it wont actually hold 3500mah.. it would also run very hot. I hope im wrong on all accounts.. fingers crossed.
My guess would be that 1500mah would be the limit for a battery our size - anything above this must be reporting incorrect.
Cheers

i just find a new battery eb504465vucinu (1500mah)
compatible with our device made by samsung which is surprisingly integrated with nfc chip at very effective cost price of Rs 419 (US $8.25) at the site address below

hope this will also help in development of NFC on our device too

I would order it if it had any mention of warranty.Waiting for a reply from them if it has any warranty on it.
All OEM batteries have 6month to one year of warranty period..
I had the conv. With their sales executive nd they said it comes with warranty given by manufacturer.

I had ordered 2 batteries from them with cod option.Took them 4 days to ship which is fine. They had done a blunder by putting wrong address on the package ! Thank god aramex guy called up to find what was my address since he could not find the address they mentioned.I brought one for my friend who also needed a replacement. He says he is getting twice the battery backup he got from his old battery.

I thought so too, but apparently not... http://www.phonearena.com/news/Samsung-GALAXY-Nexus-torn-down-NFC-in-the-battery-average-repairability_id24205
developer's must start development of NFC in our device now..!!
I ordered the battery from the link above an received it yesterday (Delivery time 3-4 days). I have charged it to 100 % and although its too early for a definite judgement, i can safely say that its far better than my last battery which was 15 months old.
Regarding NFC - I noticed that the battery is the regular EB504465VU as opposed to the "EB504465VUCINU" displayed on the site. @akshayw - could you please check yours and report the actual model no.?
The battery says EB504465VUC while the packing it came with says EB504465VUCINU so dont know what is right ? I am hardly interested in the nfc thing so it does not bother me.
Thats wrong.
I don't know if it was a mistake on The Mobile Store side, but it is not label as "NFC" anywhere
My battery which I use says model no EB504465VU.

I think this is only for phones that already have NFC. It probably just increased the strength of the connection between the phones.
Apparently, NFC chip can be embedded on battery and even UIM and SIM. So no wonder battery can have an NFC chip embedded... But yet, the ability of our device to utilize that chip iz highly dubious
It's important to recognise the difference between an NFC 'chip', NFC 'powered chips' and 'NFC readers'.
An NFC Chip is just a tiny chip with a Hex code stored in it. The chip is connected to a long, winding, looping aerial that, when it is hit by a certain frequency, bounces back in such a way as to broadcast the Hex code. NFC chips cost pennies to make (I have used them previously to implement a car parking tracking system for a car rental company).
Powered chips have a power source that can make the chip broadcast on its own. It can identify itself to a reader, rather than waiting for the reader to look for it. Apart from this, it just does the same as a normal Chip.
An NFC reader can send these radio waves out, and receive the Hexcode message that is bounced back. This is the type of device that actually 'does' something with the code, and needs drivers, hardware interfaces and so on.
So: NFC Enabled, what does it mean? Well, it could just be a gimmick that lets you read how much power is left in a battery by 'reading' from its bounce. It could also mean it can somehow communicate with the phone, acting as an NFC reader, adding functionality to the phone itself. Frankly, I find this a bit unlikely.
I think the nfc drivers needs to be implemented in our g3 kernels

You have a link there to nexus one thread and the process is the same, even eaiser with AOSP rom cause every kernel is calibration friendly. Only difference is that you have to use stock battery calibrator app (for N1) not the one from the thread. I tried to do itbseveral times with sense rom and didn't manage to do it. At the end I flashed cm7 and did it. Just read the thread carefully and follow the steps exactly as posted, it's very important.

if you really want a new battery, i'd say get an htc original one..My experiences with cheap replacement batteries weren't all that great..
i recently bought a new battery made by hama. stumbled across it when i was looking for a new headset. it performs really good so far even though it only has a capacity of 1270 mAh (still lasts for a good 5 hours of non-stop usage). it was rather cheap, cost me 13,99€ if i remember correctly.

I bought two of these batteries form this vendor and though one of them was not assembled correctly and wouldn't fit he accepted a photograph of the battery not fitting the phone in order to replace it for me without having to send it back in the mail first. And at $5.25 it wasn't worth the shipping cost to mail it back. And I have found that with cheaper sources there can be some defects especially with the first order (for some reason) but the sellers are normally very reasonable when it comes to replacements.
I see that this is an older thread so you may have gotten a new battery by now but just in case you haven't and for anyone else that may be looking I posted this. And the link is for a 2450MAH battery too and I have to say that for a normal sized battery it does last quite a long time (other extended life batteries I have gotten for other models often come with a new battery cover to compensate for the added width)

Yes I have tested it myself. And am going to do a calibration too and will let you know what it reports if you want. I have charged and discharged the battery 4-5 times since I got it and the battery seems to last quite some time. I can't tell you what it's stock battery was like because I bought the phone with a broken screen and no battery. I actually got 3 wildfire s phones at the same time.

I have some results from my testing of the battery to share. I normally find the apps that calibrate batteries to be confusing as to what it interprets results to so I gauge it instead on what I have seen with other devices and while performing tasks. If you notice something not listed that eats batteries and want to know if it was on or not let me know and I can tell you.

Note: erm... I got distracted and can't remember what it was that I was going to add as a note. If I remember I will add it. ADHD is a *****. Anywho, moving on.
After approx 1.5hrs of playing music (using large headphones not earbuds and on max volume) the battery was at 71% when I got home. When I use my EVO 3D using same settings except with a simcard inserted and using an extended life battery (one of the thicker ones that needs a separate battery cover) my battery is around 65% or so and 40% using a stock battery (albeit the stock battery is original and approx 2yrs old now).
I can test and report further if you want me to and while using a setup that you would like me to use just post the settings and any links to apps and or specific ROM you want me to use. And if you want you can pm me and again if don't hear back from me within 5days or so. I may have missed the email or been lazy and need a nudge.
If this helped let me know and click thanks and if not let me know what I can do to improve on it. Thanks
