[MOD]9Lockscreen,Ext. power,Overscroll glow,CRT,Battery percentage for JVP/JVQ/JVR

This is a mod for deodexed JVP and JVQ (2.3.4) roms.
The main and the great job was done by Whitehawkx over this thread for making the 9 lockscreens. I just add the battery percentage,overscroll glow,CRT and extended power menu. SIP also added by Brotuck
How to change lockscreens:
Use EDT application to change the locks .(after installation of the file the application will be added to your device.). You may see some parts of this application (other than lockscreen) is not activated.If you are intrested in other parts like changing status bar icons or... please follow the guy who made this useful application on this thread
**After choosing the lockscreens like miui or 4tabs you have to choose "custom app" in edt application and assign an pplication for your like otherwise you may get fc or the phone may restart.
** if you are not satisfied with glow color or battery style, you can change and modify framework-res.apk at UOT kitchen
Tested on Ramad deodexed JVP and JVQ ROM
JVQ/JVR
JVQ/JVR and JVP have the same android.policy and framework-res but framework.jar have minor changes. to get a mod on pure JVQ/JVR I recompiled framework.jar for JVQ/JVR MOD.
how to install:
Download the file and copy to sdcard and flash via recovery (or you may extract the files and copy manually using rootexplorer

Color changing signals:
please copy systemui.apk to /system/app and reboot
SystemUI.apk
Additional patch for persian/arabic/urdu (JVQ/JVR):
This cwm file will add the above mentioned mods + right to left language support + samsung and swype keypad in persian/arabic/urdu
I recommend to flash ramad deodexed rom and then flash a cwm supporting kernel like speedmod and the last install this patch via recovery
libwebcore is not included in this patch

Method A:
download the rar file and extract
use rootexplorer
1-copy EDT.apk to /system/app
2-copy all other files to /system/framework
3-reboot

Seems that CWM file giving some problems, just to make sure I flashed deodexed JVP from ramad thread and test the files and its working. this time download the file and extract then copy the files manually using rootexplorer
do not flash in recovery

I follow your method and bootloop again
Edit : I have tested on a friend 's Galaxy S and it's the same problem

As I said I flashed the deodexed rom from ramad and just copy the files and reboot. maybe needs a wipe which you can do from recovery. it is also possible if you are on a custom rom that many files has been modified other than the 3 framework files in this update (framework.jar, framework-res.apk , android.policy.jar) which is causing such problem. lets see what other people say and if it's not working will ask a professional dev. for his/her ideas

just to let you know I am using your mod and the edt tweak app with Brotuck's rom and the install was fine and all is functioning very well -- nice work guys!

Maybe a little addition, i did modify the battery icon for the icon used in my theme.
Just to let people know !

I installed the CWM version and the edt.apk.
Installation runs fine, but in the app the
Lock Screen Options, Misc, Show Signal Strength and Show dBm Text
are all greyed out. So they couldn't be activated.
Any suggestions to solve this issue?
I am running JVP from tricky with tegrak kernel.
EDIT: And there is no ext.power menu.

You have used the wrong files somehow.
The modified .Jar files in the CWM are really needed.

I flashed the cwm version.

same here flashed that zip. Already got EDT tweaks inside system partition and i had removed it from zip files. But change lockscreen is greyed out.

Ok i think i know what is wrong, if you already have another EDT.apk file.
You first need to delete this one.
Then flash the CWM with the newer EDT.apk
Let me know how it goes

Little notice for those on tricky's JVP special edition. It seems that /system/framework/ isn't deodexed, and that might cause some trouble when installing themes. Can someone else double-check that /system/framework/ is not deodexed?

Hi folks.. I want make a custom rom made by me (basic) stock based, but deleting some apps or anything for have more ram. I had the S2 and I have used the dsixda kitchen for deodex, edit the update-script and compiling the flasheable zip for CWM.
Anyone knows if the dsixda kitchen is compatible? where can I find the stock ROM IMM76I (4.0.4)

you can build it yourself from aosp

The format for each ROM must be one of the following:
- system.img + optional boot.img/lib.img (e.g. stock ROM or Nandroid)
- ZIP file for a custom ROM (e.g. update.zip)
- ZIP file containing *.img (e.g. stock rom.zip)
- ZIP file containing shipped ROM in SYSTEM + BOOT folder format
- Working folder made with this kitchen (e.g. WORKING_old_rom)

you can download the stock roms from here :

extract the image and move system.img and boot.img to your working folder.. should work fine just like it did with your S2

modify this is for use myself
but now i want to share with you

i'm upload two 7-zip file
you need 7z
one for enable call record and other one for restore
than you can via cwm to flash this
NOTE
this only for jelly bean deodex rom
if you went to flash this with odex rom,you can try to delete secPhone.odex
but you must made a nanroid backup!!

No home button lag keeping the double click feature

I think it is odexed (stock nordic LSD downloaded from sammobile and flashed with odin)
edit. Maybe we should forget whole thing if that file doesn't work. I can live with that lag and don't wanna bother you if my file is incompatible and can't get it work

To modify your file i would have to deodex-it/modify/odex-it back and i dont have time for that. If you want you can install a stock doedex lsd rom

can anybody point me out where i can get such a stock baseband (not a .tar.md5) as what sammobile provide , but like CWM zip Rom one .

Those are .tar.md5 , i can not mod them with apktool unfortunately .
I need them to be .zip file that contains the (Meta , system and boot )....

If you want to start modding then search disxda kitchen
That also supports tar, you won't need to have cwm.

dr.ketan , first I would like to thank you for the amazing all in one thread and the modding thread , i have learned how to root and install a custom ROM from your guides , honestly , i love your work man
I have installed the framework from your thread and tried to extract the systemUI using a terminal emulator after i have rooted the phone , but it gives mee (ssh:no ta found) error every time i use it on any of the samsung stock ROM , and as you know without a clean systemUI i wont be able to start modding , and i have searched for a way to convert the .tar.md5 ROM to .zip or at least extract the systemUI from them but with no luck , all threads explaining it are sony phones threads .
To sum up , i wish if you can show me how to get this systemUI from the stock base ROM.
Ps, your MultiMod_V16 is amazing , thanks for that , i am planning to use some of the mods in it in my first experimental build.

First you need to deodexed SystemUI
That's why i have suggest you kitchen, with that you can extract tar and deodexed all app in one go.
If kitchen looks difficult then
find some img extract software, with that you can extract System apk from tar. later you can find any deodexer utility to deodex SystemUI.
