I am currently running the going green rom, its sense 3.0 and also have dark tremors apps2sd. Im have a problem where my internal memory keeps getting lower and lower and lower. It was at 346mb free this morning and now at 296mb free. Ive cleaned cache, anyone else know what it could be or what I could do to keep the internal space from decreasing?

You could move dalvik cache and data or one or there other to your sdext but it could cause lag unless you have a fast sdcard but you can try it the command is in TE.
su
a2sd cachesd
a2sd datasd
You can get a list of commands by typing
su
a2sd help

I am looking to do everthing from my phone no pc
I was wondering if there is a app to install my apps2sd besides adb a2sd check i know damage control has it in dconfig hut im using myns rom and would like to do that
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Use terminal emulator and type
"su"
"a2sd check"
then set it to move dalvik to sd, it will reboot, and then run zipalign.. make sure you have your ext3 partition of course
I moved dalvik cache from a2sd partition to internal mem but it took up too much space and now i still get the phone memory low problem. How can i move cache back to a2sd partition?

U can use terminal emulator from the market. Type su hit enter, type a2sd cachepart hit enter or install a2sdgui from market
Edit. U can also hit a2sd help hit enter for a list of commands.
Theres also a2sd GUI in the marketplace if u don't like using terminal.
Thanks! I used terminal. I like terminal better. It worked. ... But i used a2sd cachesdreset
That made more sense to me.

What do you mean by "When it starts"?
Dalvik is on /data when you first boot the rom. Then when you do the "a2sd cachesd" command, that dalvik will at that point move.
Did you test it that way without restoring anything?
Sorry mate always on 65mb

Theres Rom data, settings etc always on data too. 65 seems extreme though

cheers dan activated a2sd cmd 137mb now.
Everytime I'm on a sense rom it runs super smooth for the like the first hour then i start getting extreme lag. By lag I mean I can barely go to the screen, when I use the keyboard it's really delayed and laggy. The only way to stop the lag is to wipe dalvik cache and cache. But that solves it temporarily. Is the partitioned card causing the lag? I'm using the stock sd card that came with my phone.

I think It's slow because your dalvik cache is on your partition. Use a2sd help in terminal to find the command to move it back to the cache partition. I'm blanking on that command.
Edit: type in
su
a2sd cachepartreset
This will move it back to the cache partition and clear it and reboot your phone.
If that doesn't work you can try
a2sd nocachereset
Which will move the dalvik cache to the internal storage.
my evo is aggressively runny

Will try later currently on miui so can't test because I don't use a2sd on it

So I decided to unpartition and reformat my card. I only get that lag I mentioned on sense roms. So I'm going to stick to miui for now. Most likely going to best buy later and getting a class 10 card
I actually looked to see what class my card was an its 8gb class 4 thought it would be good enough
2 questions
1) is A2SD usually brewed right into ROM's?
2) should I see my internal storage size actually increase if it is working, or does it just make it easier to move things to SD?
One of the reasons I rooted, like everyone else I would guess, is because of the relatively small internal storage on my EVO. I read somewhere that you could get the EVO to think that a 512meg partition on the SD card is actually more internal storage but have been unable to get google to tell me how to do it...

U should get more internal memory
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
1) the rom description will say if a2sd is baked in, or if the rom supports it. If a2sd isn't baked then download the zip (which I can post if you want), then flash the rom, then kernel, then gapps, then a2sd. It will reboot 3 times then check the internal memory.
2) it won't show any more internal memory, just that less is being used, as a2sd basically tells the phone where on the SD card to look to find the apps

I'm fairly certain I have it working. I using classic, which has it built in. Think so anyway. I installed an a2sd app and it shows the ext3 partition and that its being used. I suppose that when I start to approach the app load I had before I rooted the phone ill know.
Thanks for the answers guys.

Have you partitioned the SD? If not then you're not using a2sd. Let me know and if not I can help.....

Could do (in terminal emulator)
su
a2sd remove
If,after the phone reboots, you have less free internal memory, you know it worked. After verifying that, then go back to term emulator and
su
a2sd reinstall
