Omg, I have a huge hate for people like you and many bad words to say too you.
God damn it, besides you are blind and lazy, you are also ignorant.
Try and read a couple of paragraphs and make yourself smart.

if someone could give me his opinion not a link and not hate me or have problem with my not good english i would be grateful
i gave insanity a quick look.. i really dont likeonce again the missing menu.. any idea
THANKS ONCE AGAIN
i agree with siky...stop acting like you own the place because quite frankly you sound like an idiot when you struggle to TYPE a FOUR LETTER WORD. It's because of fool's like you our society is going down the drain. All the paragraphs in the world won'y help unfortunately.
If I were going to use a ROM other than miui I'd go for this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1189676
Please do more than look at the screenies in the first post when you decide what ROM you'd use and you just may end up stumbling on the instructions that are posted on virtually EVERY ROM thread.
EDIT:
We are not teasing your grammar. That's racist and I am completely against such things. We are pointing out the fact that you spelt a simple word wrong and then acted like a an arrogant fool about it.
look at my word... all i say even in bad spelling i s THANKS !! really just look..
and look what answer had i got.. arrogant.. nice one !
im tecnician and this is not the first phone i flashed.. but this is the last thread i'll open here.
this is a forum not just for experts it is for everyone i think so..
i would really like a opinion of a admin on this and on the rom think from anyone.
thanks
Buddy, let me tell you why we are so rude:
1. Wrong section, this is the development section, not the q&a section, so I really really hope this is the last time you post here.
2. Read some paragraphs and use search, don't make a separate thread just to ask something, plus in the wrong section with bad spelling, and after being corrected you are ignorant and ask something else.
3. Just because you are a "noob", nobody is obligated to answer your "noobish" questions. Stop being such a negativist and start reading.
I hope in the future you will respect these basic rules on any forum, not just xda .
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Premium App
I tell people who post questions in development section nicely once to move it to q&a, if they don't then I ignore. many post here so they can get fatser response and not because they didn't know it is the wrong section. I will help but only if you help yourself first.

There is no official Froyo for our Epics, however there are several roms running the Froyo leak a.k.a. DK28.
First of all. Are you rooted?
PLEASE NOTE Post this type of questions in General section of the forums. This section is for development purposes only.
BTW. You will get more answers in that section, General

You don't have to donate if you don't want. Just read read read read read and read. Then read some more. Play around a bit and don't be afraid to ask questions– just be sure to ask in General, or preferably the Q&A forum. If you get stuck, there are plenty of people who are more than willing to help, just make sure to try and help yourself first. Oh, and be sure to read.

You should be glad someone hear tried to help you out. As far as I'm concerned people like you should be banned for a day every time they post in the wrong section or ask a question that has obviously already been answered in another thread! Do yourself a favor and read the rules and use the search button! Yes I know you have been told this but it seems like you need it drilled in your head.

just my 2 cents
people dont understand a basic thing.. the info on the forums most of the times is outdated and no one will know for sure until they try it out ... and for a noob .. its really scary to go ahead and give a try without knowing for sure if its perfectly accurate wht s/he is doing.. for eg i came accross a forum to root android device by downgrading to 2.0 which i highly doubt if would even work now.

Ok guys, Samsung is not updating our phone to ICS. We hate this choice, but we can't help it.
Everyone is waiting for arco68 and the ICS porting, that is gonna be awesome but isn't here yet.
All I see around here is whining and questions, but no one lifts a finger to push this community: no one cares to see how to port mods, themes, and all kind of things that make Android interesting: if I wanted a closed source phone I'd have bought an iPhone and let it be as it came out of the box.
So PLEASE guys: the next time you come here to beg on the "cm9 build thread", instead look on XDA, read guides, try something, DO SOMETHING. If you don't know how to, ASK! If you don't manage, post here, we'll see what we can do to help.
There is no need to be a developer or know about code: you'll find tons of step-by-step guides all over XDA that will teach you.
We can't keep always asking. It's time to ACT!

Hi all, I never write on this forum, i just read and waiting for news from our community, and i totally agree with fender90, we all need to do something for this Wonder(ful) smartphone!
Probably all of us are waiting for ics/cm9 and i think this is why only few people are trying to do something for us on gingerbread.
In my case i'd like to do something like a kernel with bln for example, but first of all for now i only rooted my phone and i'm afraid of briking my only phone trying to do other mods...Also, i dunno how to begin to do something else like develop a new kernel or improve the features of our w, like the devs on this forum are doing...So i'd really like to see more activity for this phone, and i'd really like to have a part on that, but i dunno how, and first to mod my phone i need to be sure on how i can test my possible mods without damages...

Unfortunately there is no "safe" way to mod, there is always some little bit of risk. But little mods can't hard brick your phone!
What arco68 is doing is the hard work that can brick your phone. He knows what he's doing.
Little mods to the framework or somthing like that will (in the worst case) soft brick your phone, that can be solved in 10 minutes by reflashing a ROM or restoring a Nandroid backup.
About how, check this out: that was the thing I was trying to do before kinda giving up because I don't see an active community that is actually trying to do something: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1169443
fender....thanx for that!!!!
I would say that an active participating community will take some time to evolve!!
This forum is very young yet, and I am not sure it will ever become as big and active as those for more popular devices.
however, I also think that you should continue to do stuff, like you have linked, it will also encourage others with similar skills to contribute, and others to learn and become skilled....
keep up the good work!!

But, after reading and viewing so many custom ROMs topics here, I am little confused which one is Best for DDLE1!
Best means bugfree also!
Please reply which ROMs can be used on DDLE1 and their corresponding post links will be very much helpful for me.
Please mention which one you use also... just for kind of voting purpose!

USR 2.1 for me. Simple and stylish ICS type. Repencis v3.5 greeny theme is too much to handle even though we can change backgrounds and stuff
As for performance is considered , both stand at the same level imo. I am gonna go for USR since the dev is amazing . He fixes bugs within minutes!
But repencis stands out in customization. It is very much customizable which I am not much interested in
Its your wish OP. I say try both cuz they are AWESOME!
Using first Custom ROM Ultimate Sonic Rom v2.1
Hello everyone,
Thanks to everyone for your advises for this one. This was my first time so, I was a bit in-tensed as any wrong step can brick the phone.
Well, I have done that silly mistake and soft bricked the phone, anyway thanks to "evanlocked" and "vaibhavlokare111" for helping me and guide me to install the Custom ROM.
Yes folks, I have installed the Custom ROM named Ultimate Sonic Rom v2.1 by evanlocked.
I have checked Repencis v3.5 ROM also, but to be fair I don't really attracted with the GreenY flavor of that. No hard feelings!
But the USR 2.1 Screenshot is very nice and also it is DXLE1 based. So, Installed it and I am extremely HAPPY with it.
It's look is Awesome, It's MIUI port Music is Awesome. Those ICS icons and Transparency is Great and last but not the least the status bar is Fantastic!
So far I have not found any bug in this ROM...
So, I am gonna stick with it for a while till any other nice looking ROM came out.
I'll update it here...
Don't worry newbies in Custom ROMs like me, If you like ANY Custom ROM Screenshots, Go for it..... The devs and members are great in this Forum.. Not to worry much..
JUST FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTION GIVEN WITH THE ROM VERY CAREFULLY! If you don't understand any step or stuck into some situation Just ask it in that thread, you will be guided by helpful members and DEVs.
In the meanwhile, guys who are PRO in Custom ROMs keep posting here your thoughts about new ROMs... These posts are really helpful.
Thanks.

Is there a possibility to add the rotational animation effect to a SONY GingerBread rom?. I'm asking this because in CM 7 ROM, that is based on Gingerbread, this effect is present. I'm not sure if this feature is in Framework, but is there someone that could port that to a SONY GB rom?.
And another question: What about a multitasking GB rom?, on GB when you switch to another app, the last one closes, and if you back to last one used from the recent app list it opens from the begining.
Hope that advance people respond to this.

Sorry, I was on a rush. I corrected the meaning.
As far as I know it is not possible to add an rotation transition effect into GB. From what I remember reading back in the GB days, the animation is dealt within the lib files ( .so files) which can't be edited. I could be wrong, but this is what I read. There was a thread investigating this matter.

I checked your post, and I noticed that the files you mentioned already was in CM7 rom, but not in a GB rom. Anyway, I'm sure that this is not as simple as adding those files to a GB rom. I'm sure that some harcoding must be done on a SONY GB ROM to acomplish that.
Hope that any other advanced dev see this thread and discuss it. :fingers-crossed:
If I would started this topic in the DEV section (because only devs can answer this kind of question), I would have at least 10 responses from devs.
Then, this thread was moved to "General Arc", and there I could have at least two more replies.
But now.. This thread was moved to " Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting", and in this thread... there is no dev reading posts.
I know that rules are alive before I post something... but aswell, I know that if I do a very tech question... geberal and Q&A forums will not give a spected answer.
SO. wich user could spect a worth response from a right devr?
If devs would look at the Q&A and general forums, maybe this place would be with a lot of less noobs asking what already was answered.

its not possible to add that in stock roms...
