Google Music 2 apk - Ice Cream Sammich - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Uninstall Music from the market first then install the apk.
I'm not having any luck with it syncing my music... I do have bad service and a bunch of music to sync.
Someone let me know or once I get on wifi I will advise.

Try going to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications and clear data on the app itself it should work after that but right now this version like every other is giving me headaches with even allowing to connect to my Google account....

I cannot even find where in this app to tell it to sync to my google account. On the market version of Music, you can press Menu -> Settings -> Google Account, this one just has Licenses, help and version listed.

Yeah, seems more like a music player than music cloud.
It shows all my music in my sd card but no cloud music.

If you clear the data of the app and relaunch it, it is supposed to sync to the cloud, I cannot get it do this on my phone

make sure you turn your sync on and have a good connection so it all syncs.

This is working great. Thanks

Copy the apk manually to the
/system/app/ folder using root explorer. Make sure you uninstall the old music app and clear data first. Then syncing should work

Uninstalled, and installed apk straight up. Cleared data and synced under settings > accounts and its working great. Only thing is that there is no lock screen music settings.. :/

app brain not working?

ok ive been trying to use and understand the app, app brain lately. i have a feeling its most likely user error. but from my understanding one of the main uses of this app is it syncs your apps so when you reset/wipe your phone, you re d/l app brain and it lists all your synced apps for easy download. well everytime right before i wipe, i click sync on app brain, wipe the phone and it lists no apps, or maybe 1 or 2 (outta around 15ish) is it something im doing wrong?
It's been working fine for me lately, but I used to make a backup list online. Basically, sync, then go online and select all apps and copy them to a new list. Then wipe your phone, install the app and set up sync. If you are missing apps again, go to your computer, copy all the apps from the list to your installed list and sync again. Works like a charm.

[Q] undo latest Gmail update

I need to know how to roll back or undo the newest Gmail update. It's screwing up notification stuff I have for Gmail. I had a widget to show me unread emails (SMS Unread count) but now it keeps force closing if I try to make a widget for Gmail. I know its not an issue with the SMS Unread conut app because it works fine for making widgets for phone calls and text messages. Also, with the latest Gmail update, GoLauncher no longer shows me unread count in the dock, even though the setting is checked to do so.

It's already there. Once you uninstall the update, the old version will be there. You may need to reboot.
Is this due to the latest G-Mail app locking the mail database to outside apps? I just ran into this as well and had to uninstall the update too.

Also doesn't support zip attachments. Cant save em or view em. Don't like the update.
Once I change .zip to .bin it shows up fine
thanks. unfortunately that option isn't available. seems i'll be stuck with this until gmal releases another update.

Auto installing apps from the market.

Anyone know how to shut this off? I have about 40 apps that are repeatedly trying to reinstall themselves daily. I obviously don't want them to andnindont prompt them to. So annoying. Can I shut this off somehow?

Try going into Settings > Backup & Reset and untick automatic restore.
I have the same issue but unchecking that setting didn't work. Still installing the apps over and over again.

Are you using another app store, like app brain or the Amazon app store?

Nope. Only the android market. I tried clearing the cache and turning off the auto update. The only thing I haven't tried (yet) is a factory reset. I haven't figured out what is triggering it yet either.
Have u tried clearing data from Market and Google Framework Services?
or settings inside app market?...

If you are talking about apps automatically updating, then go to the Market/Menu/Settings and uncheck Auto-Update. And while there, if you don't want to be notified when an app has an update, uncheck the notification check box too.
But be aware that apps are usually only updated to correct issues or to add/improve features.
Good luck.

No, but if I do what other data will be deleted? Google accounts?
You won't lose anything, just delete the data and reboot (you're deleting locally, not from the servers). Account will reset it's self. You may still get the auto download, but once you uninstall they should stay uninstalled...
Hit the settings button in the pull down. Select Apps, use the All tab and the clear data button will be under the apps I mentioned...

Gallery help

For whatever reason pictures from picasa are showing up in my gallery and I have never used picasa and it won't let me delete them. They constantly show in my gallery and I can't get them out...
Any suggestions? Thanks

I somehow managed this one as well.
Would hope for a more useful reply.
I tried toggling sync under my google account and rebooting and such and even tried manually searching for the pictures internally in my phone.
Fortunately, I made a non-related nandroid like 40 minutes earlier before applying a framework mod.
Reverted and reapplied to get back to where I was.
All I did to get the stubborn buggars to show up in the first place was click the "refresh" option in gallery.

i think the pics come from google+ (at least in my case)
should be the same pic you see in google+ / photo
so..or u uninstall google+, or remove all the pics in google+, or you have to live with the pics in ur gallery as i do
1. Disable sync for google photos under account & sync
2. Go to apps > Gallery
3. Force stop then clear data
If you enable google photo sync accidentally, the picasa album will show up in gallery again. Just repeat the steps above to remove it.
Lastly, use search next time. This question has been asked gazillion times.

anyway they disappear from the gallery after a phone reboot (maybe just sdcard rescan is enough)

If you have google+ installed and the albums are showing up again, clear data for G+ too.
They need to patch this coz it shouldn't be so troublesome.

Oh you good people have helped me before so...... I have downloaded the HTC Music apk and the widget, and installed both on my phone. The music app installed fine, but but forces close immediately.I cleared data, cache, restarted the phone, nothing. And now I cant seem to even get rid of it, wont let me disable or uninstall. HELP please:crying: Ideally I want it to work, or be rid.
