[Q] Titanium Backup after new ROM install

So I've successfully updated my phone to Baked Snack v1.4.
My question is, I made a full Titanium Backup of user apps + data before hand. Can I just re-download titanium backup and run a batch restore to get all of my apps back? or will that overwrite data that has been put in by the new ROM?
Thanks!
I have done so coming from 1.25 so you will probably be alright. I know I was having all sorts of problems coming from Android 2.1 roms but since they are both 2.2 go for it

If you run a batch to get all your apps back, it should be fine. There shouldn't be a problem with overwriting data I believe because it focuses only on the apps.
Saying this, I've jumped around ROMS and restoring my apps has never been a problem using Titanium. I think you'e safe.
On some 2.2 ROMs, using Titanium Backup with result in Force Closes on some of the apps. No idea why but it definitely happens.
This is the entire purpose of titanium backup's existence.
thanks for the info. I started playing around with TitaniumBackup, and found out that I could restore individual apps, so I did that instead, cleaning house while I went and not installing apps I never used.
Follow up question though, does Titanium Backup store saved WiFi information / Text Messages? and if so, does anyone know which app I would restore to get back said information?
I've seen on this forum somewhere a mod that allows you to send you SMS to your google account so the nextime you setup your google account on the the phone it will bring back your SMS messages, I don't know if it does wifi or no. Post found here forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=697147

new skyraider help please!!

so i installed it like it said did the wipe then i did the titanium restore but every single app including titanium and rom manager all apps i had dont work they all force close! so i nandroided back... this happen to anyone else?
Yea his latest release is very buggy, I've had some very inconsistent results.
BTW starting another thread for one that is already open isn't the best idea.

[Q] how to stop an app from updating

I have an app that I would like to keep it from updating past the version I have. I've already used Titanium Backup to make a backup copy of it. However it keeps popping up up in the market demanding I update it.
What an I do to keep this from getting updated in the market?
Thanks
(i was gonna post this somewhere in Android General, but I feel safer posting it here since I do have a droid incredible)

Click to collapse
Try backing it up with Astro file manager, then uninstall, then reinstall with Astro. It shouldnt show up no more in the market.
In Titanium Backup, long press the app in question and select "Detach from Market."
two good ideas. Let me see what I can get going here.

[Q] Titanium Backup restore issues

Having an issue restoring my apps from Titanium Backup to my GN2. The apps that were backed up were running on my old phone...OG EVO, I rooted my phone, have 32 gb sdcard from old phone in my GN2. When i try to restore ANY app it just sits there and says "restoring app" , so I go to application manager and force stop TB. Is it because those apps are only good if restored to my OG EVO? Main reason I rooted was so I could restore alot of my apps I used before.
Thanks for any and all help!
You could try clearing the data of Google play store. That improves things for me usually but I can't guarantee it'll work

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.
if worst comes to worst, and if your EVO was rooted, you can copy the /data/app "apks" on to the card then xfer the card to the N2 and install the app apks that were installed on the EVO and install them one by one, which you are doing the same anyway with TB.
that is what i do...... instead of a backup app/restore when changing to different phones, there are just to many variables that came make the restore fail.
also as you know, the play store has a history of all the apps you have downloaded except the ones you got on the side...lol. Good Luck

[Q] How to get Titanium Pro back after a fastboot install of android stock rom

Maybe a stupid question, but for me it is a problem.
Yesterday I had I problem after upgrading tot android 4.4.4.
Before the upgraded I had the Titanium Pro installed.
I used Titanium Pro to create I backup of my apps and data to the cloud.
I returned tot android 4.4.2. factory image via fastboot.
After I succesfully returned to 4.4.2 my Nexus 7 2013 did the initial standard setup (the same setup which is done when I started my Nexus for the first time). Then google started to restore my installed apps. But then something went wrong so not all my apps were restored (including Titanium Backup Pro). I need this app to restore all my data and previous installed apps.
If I go to google play and look in "my apps" it is indicated that Titanium Backup Pro is installed.
But if I look at all my apps, I see no Icon for Titanium Backup.
What should I do?
I dare not to uninstall it, because I am afraid that I have to buy again for the app, I already have paid for.
Any suggestions?
no worries
you can just uninstall and reinstall titanium(and ANY other apps) all you want, once you buy an app from the store it's bought forever across ALL devices. I've bought it once and installed it and still use it myself on 5 different devices and only payed once. I've factory reset and installed new ROMs on all my devices many times and each time just go to the store and reinstall it without paying. no worries there
Thanks. I deinstalled the app then installed. Now it works perfectly again.
