Can some one xplain me what is LOS and how do i know if i have or not this problem
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA App
haha.. L.O.S. = Loss Of Signal.. with mine it occured after i rooted and installed zedomax v3 OC kernal.. it would randomly completely drop both data and phone signal completely and leave an X by the bars.. Only way I could get it back on mine was to reboot the phone.. I've since installed Starburst 1.4 with the eg30+ kernal and my LOS has stopped.. Ive heard this isnt the case for others, others cant stop the LOS no matter if there on stock or rooted with any kernal.. So if you havent had that before, I wouldnt worry about it too much!
Thanx my friend and im glad i dint have that problem

Not sure how it happened...well I do know....Flashed offical CWM for ROM Manager, but didnt think it took because it said I need a CWM compatible kernel. And then i used E4gtauto to add CWM-rogue because i didnt think I had it....so today when i booted into recovery from ROM toolbox, it went to CWM, did a nand and rebooted, but it booted into Rogue...? How can I get rid of one of them?
The nand you restored had a kernel with rogue on it. You should only have rogue on there now.
And I don't know if others feel this way, but I always only use the built in reboot menu or volume and power buttons(from off state) to go into recoveries and download mode, reduces issues

Yeah I think I'm good to go. Thanks.

Please do yourself a favor and never ever use rom manager on this phone again, it will give you some shiny paperweight eventually
Thanks for the heads up, but what about ROM toolbox? It seems to be fine even rebooting into recovery among other things...

I have had no problems with ROM toolbox

If you did it right then you should be up and running with no problems. If you are having issues you need to be more specific so people can help. Also, if you flashed format_all, then flashed the ROM, you need to go to the ROM Updater and pick up part 2 of the ROM (it finishes theming Gtalk), download and flash it.
Going to be away for the evening but if you'll give some further details there are others running this ROM who can assist.
Good luck

As Esoteric68 said, lacking a few details.
What problems are you seeing, or are you seeing problems?
Being that you posted from your phone, are you still running it or did you have to do more? as well...
:edit: Also, you have multiple posts on the same subject and it makes it that much harder for people to help you. Try to keep everything in one place and there are tons of much more smarter people then me to help ya out. (Like that grammar issue thing I got going on)

The mijjz goodness rom it starts like its wrkn then gives me error mesg plus i have yellow triangle when booting
Try this:
Download the rom on ur PC
Download the el26 kernel w safe cwm (tar version, not zip) on ur pc
Place all on ur external SD card
Use Odin to flash el26 (PDA slot)
If you get a pass from Odin, boot your phone into recovery (right away when phone blue light comes on after successful flash via Odin, or pull the battery and boot to recovery manually if u missed)
Wipe data/cache/dalvik
Flash ROM
Reboot....should be good to go.
And the el26 kernel is easy to find by searching the forums.

Hello every, iv recently made the switch to TWRP recovery because of its ease of use and every single Rom seems to be recommending it as the recovery of choice. My issue is that when i go into Rom manager The option for CWM is still available. Its not that big of a deal since every time i boot into recovery it goes straight into TWRP. Its more of a nusence, I have all my CWM back ups saved on my computer so if i ever need to go back to it i have it there. I was just wonder how to fully delete it of the phone so it wont show up as an option. I deleted all the files i could think of off the SD card and the internal memory. I honestly dont know what else im missing. Anyone willing to help me out?? Please and thank you
You sure Rom manager isn't suggesting you have the option to flash cwm over twrp? Try using goo manager instead. The backups you made with cwm if you are referring to backing up a Rom that it's called nandroid and will work with both

I posted a screen shot.. I have twrp installed and want to get CWM removed so it doesn't show up in the already installed category. I installed TWRP with Goo Manager and I thought it would delete CWM. But it didn't.

I'd just stick with goo dude...
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using xda premium
I am sticking with Goo but i just find it weird that it says i still have CWM installed when iv deleted everything connected to it.
I just tried Rom manager and shows the same thing. Pretty sure due to the app..

Oh well no worries i just deleted Rom Manager so it doesn't annoy me..Thanks for all the help!!
So I'll do this fast, I ain't a noob with flashing and rooting etc (4 years experience) but today I had a first one in my life that soft bricked my T999V. I've downloaded the LiquidRom for T-mobile to test it, i've wiped all, cache and etc 3 times but the second time in the TWRP console it wrote and error like XXXXX directory not found ... I've never saw this type of error. So I flashed the rom + the latest Gapps , wiped dalvik an rebooted. The rom was blazing fast. But I decided to return to my Rom , so i wiped all again but still getting that error ! I restored the Nbackup and it rebooted wierdly and the rom was completly messed-up. So i close the phone and wanted to restard in recovery... Not existing anymore, gone.. GONE ! But i could boot in download.. I've completly recovert it right now but still this wierd error almost messed up my phon and it wasnt even my fault !
So did it ever happend to your S3 ?
I haven't experienced that yet and I hope I don't lol but at least it was only a soft brick. Thanks for the heads up though just incase someone runs into that problem.
So is everything running good now?

If you would have messed your phone it would have been entirely your fault knowing your flashing custom Roms And Messing Whit These Things

He means that he didnt deliberately do it. Perhaps he read everything and when he went to flash it it through an error. That happens. Could be a bad download or something

hey guys i was flashing an arhd rom and after flaw i wanted to romove bloat so i tried mounting by usb to load the file. in the mount section i checked ext/sd card phone went black and dead. does this mean that now only my sd card is read or mountable, can i load a recovery on my sd, put it back in and start from there? i have been flashing and developing for years and evidently to tired to attempt what i was doing. phone is DEAD. NO DWNLD MODE OR RECOVERY i'm thinking its trying to load just off of my sd. i know very stupid mistake, was used to HTC phones. any help much appreciated
