Not sure how it happened...well I do know....Flashed offical CWM for ROM Manager, but didnt think it took because it said I need a CWM compatible kernel. And then i used E4gtauto to add CWM-rogue because i didnt think I had it....so today when i booted into recovery from ROM toolbox, it went to CWM, did a nand and rebooted, but it booted into Rogue...? How can I get rid of one of them?
The nand you restored had a kernel with rogue on it. You should only have rogue on there now.
And I don't know if others feel this way, but I always only use the built in reboot menu or volume and power buttons(from off state) to go into recoveries and download mode, reduces issues

Please do yourself a favor and never ever use rom manager on this phone again, it will give you some shiny paperweight eventually
Thanks for the heads up, but what about ROM toolbox? It seems to be fine even rebooting into recovery among other things...

I personally don't like ROM manager. If you are rooted I would say flash a custom recovery and back up ROMs from there. If you ever brick your phone you can still access recovery while you can't access ROM manager.
About the not being able to back up ROMs, check the backup location or your settings. The rom might not also include that feature. CWM recovery is the way to go for all of that.
OK thanks will try soon.

ROM manager does not play nice with our phones. Look for sfhub's auto root sticky, in there you will find an option to add CWM. Backup from there

Let me guess.. you used the darkside cache wipe. That's the only way to break CWM. Flash this.

Its TWRP 2.3.0.0. It should lock up when it says installation complete. When it does just hold down the power button and reset your phone and boot back into TWRP instead of CWM. FOR THE LAST TIME PEOPLE STOP USING WIPE SCRIPTS.

Cool beans. Glad to see you're back in business. Now follow my flashing methods so you don't screw up your CWM installation again.

Is this really a bad recovery to be using. I always used clockwork on my HTC devices and when i rooted my epic touch i ended up with agat. Would it worth going through the trouble of installing a new recovery to get clockwork?

Sooooo, is it worth keeping or should i go through the trouble of installing clockwork.
And if i use Odin lite and flash the gb kernal with clockwork i can them boot into recovery and flash whatever i want?
And one more thing. I have a usb jig coming in the mail. If i am going to be doing all that should i wait till it comes in in case i need it or is it simple enough that i shouldn't worry.

Agat recovery is good for touchwiz based roms. I have flashed many ICS roms and zips using this recovery.
Regarding your questions if you want to flash a new rom follow the instructions in the OP of that rom, don't over complicate things. I use el26 recovery to flash roms. I load that using Odin from PC.
Its good to remember kernel and recovery are combined with this phone. Keep agat. If you want to go to jellybean get el26 kernel by chris41g. Also remember you will have a new kernel and recovery after you flash something.

Find a different cm10 compatible kernel and flash it through cwm or through Odin.

Just had a thought. It's easy to get stuck on boot when you flash back to stock without wiping.
If you can wipe it/factory reset that could solve you're problem.
And it'll boot up.
It's confusing cause it looks a lot like your phone not booting cause of the kernel
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Yeah just take the battery out and get into android recovery by pressing volume up, power, and home button. Then wipe/factory reset and reboot system.
^^^^ just like the gentleman said. Reboot into recovery and factory reset it. It should boot up after that.

Recovery isn't there, any way I could do it from adb?
Sent from my HTC Ruby using xda app-developers app
If you can get into download mode, reflash the stock tar in Odin again or just flash the cwm or trwp recovery tar and reflash a different kernel
Sent from my SGH-T999
Here is a link to Odin-able recoveries that you can use. I also agree with the others that this is probably a mismatched ROM/Kernel that is preventing you from booting up. The only problem I foresee is that you Odin'd a stock image, so now you are not on CM10 anymore. Now you'll have to find a TW kernel that you can flash, like Morfic's or I think Ktoonez has one too. But you can ADB push the kernel to your SDcard so that when you flash the recovery above, you should be able to then go in and find your kernel and flash that.
What I suggest first is to Odin one of the recoveries (TWRP is what I use) and then once that is done, go in and Factory Reset and try to boot it up. If it works, great. If not, then you may need to move on to pushing a kernel and flashing that.
Volume up + Home + Power takes you to Recovery.
Have you tried that?

I've had that issue with mobile odin... I just do factory reset from stock recovery after the stock rom wont boot and it works.
Welcome to sgs3 Eclipze
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 2
So here's my issue. My phone no longer allows me to flash roms from my external or internal sd card safely. What happens with every rom I flash is twofold. Data connection is always lost, and any reboot causes the phone to boot directly into download mode bypassing the odin flash page. The phone recovers from this with a simple odin back to stock. However, not being able to use non stock roms is no bueno to me.
Does this sound like some internal hwr problem? Is this an SD card issue? Would love some insite.
Which recovery are you using?
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda premium
Using clockwork recovery current version
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Every ROM I flashed had some bugs and they started to multiply. I used Super Wipe and killed EVERYTHING.
I then loaded every zip onto my micro SD via my computer and put it in my phone. Flash and Go.
I went back to stock rooted MA7. The glitches were gone,
So my suggestion is to do a recovery of your first full backup or do what I did.
Okay will try super wipe tonight thanks

Okay, I can't find the thanks button for you guys. THis is the solution. Don't use CWM recovery. TWRP worked wonders, and because I didn't format recovery in cwm so superwipe would probably had helped as well
Glad its working now. I have never used cwm on this phone. But twrp has been smooth sailing.
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda premium
Use twrp on my s3, and cwm on the wife's note 2. Never had a problem with cwm. Sounds like the problem was not doing a full wipe with cwm (and not a problem with the cwm recovery itself)? But, whatever works for you.
