Hello,
Since a while ( 4.0.1.A.0.283 ? ) I have regular (every x minutes ) GPS signal drop off !!!
It happens in the 4 GPS programs I have !
Anyone ?
Cheers
Well, cool, I´m the only one to get this issue
For info, I ran GPS Test during a 1 hour journey, and no signal loss . Always 5 to 8 satellites in view.
So I assume my problem is software related !??
Have you tried a software reset or a repair via PC companion?
No, mine is unlocked and rooted.
It seems that Primo is not affected by this behaviour, but Navigon, Aura & Copilot are losing GPS signal.
Bingo, I re-formatted my SD Card ( 64 k cluster ), now everything works fine

That's a interesting find, but not sure how it got related. But happy for you as the issue has gone
Thanks, for sure, the link between the problem and its resolution is not obvious
I cannot use GPS when I apply 1% battery problem fix
The problem is still there
Well this morning the problem went back
I really do not understand what can cause this issue ...
@danielnghk what is this fix ? ( eventhough I didn´use it )
I still have this issue of GPS loosing signal every 5 minutes ! ( it´s precise ... )
Anyone ... cause it makes my Arc useless ...

Have you installed any apps that is using the GPS that might have influence on the use.
Any way, you can try disabling the GPS in each app onen by one to see if there is a guilty one.
I got Tasker & AutomateIt that could use the GPS.
I already tried by uninstalling them, and that´s not changing anything
You said in earlier post you re-formatted your card and the problem was resolved.
Just wondering if you have tried this again, altho it does seem strange that this would fix the problem. Perhaps it is a corrupt file on your card that is causing issues
After formatting, the problem was gone ... but came back quickly.
I also re-formatted 2 times the card, with different cluster size, and i didn´t change anything.
I also wiped the cache in recovery mode, but it did not helped.
What´s weird, yesterday morning, it was ok for my travel to work ! But at return, same issue, drop every 5 minutes ...
GPS signal loss every 5 minutes, high DOP
Hello ChefChaudart
you are not the only one.
I know 4 people meanwhile and i suspect, that the most people do not recognize, that they have a problem.
My threads on this:
talk.sonyericsson.com/thread/25770?tstart=0 => Sony started an escalation ticket, 4 people with Sony phones affected
code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=21376 => no reaction
code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=20707 => maybe same problem, not Sony phones.
Summary:
1. After a certain active time of the phone (1h-4h) in each program which uses GPS every five minutes the phone tries to get contact to the AGPS server and the following error occurs.
10-31 13:46:20.757 D/lib_locapi( 238): loc_eng_agps_data_conn_failed
During this time (30sec) no GPS signal is available. The DOP is very high.
2. If the phone is in flight mode, the problem disappears. Again active, the problem is present again.
After reboot no problem, but after 1h-4h on time the problem occurs again.
3. The problem occurs since update to 2.3.3 and also in 2.3.4.
4. Every GPS program is affected. RunGPS, Navigon, Google Maps. Independend from each other.
5. Other Sony phones (Arc) from other users have the same problem since the newer updates.
6. Even after hard reset right from the beginning the problem exists. So it has nothing to do with other installed programs.
7. Meanwhile I rooted my phone to find the problem. After changing the Gps.conf and entering supl in the network APN configuration, the phone connects to the NTP server (error ... loc_eng_agps_data_conn_failed... does not appear), and the GPS loss is shorter and the DOP is not so high (around 15 instead of 23). Nevertheless during the connection the GPS signal is gone.
@XDA-developers: Do you have an idea, what it is?
Thanks
"Nice" I´m not alone !
Meanwhile I get my my old external BT gps, and with this one, no issue !
corrected !
Well, good news
After having confirmed this problem, which many (all of us ? ) have, Sony has corrected the issue.
Now, the fix will be deliver in an upcoming update !!!
Have you tried to change baseband of your phone?
of course, but that´s not the point.
if you follow my link, you can clearly see that Sony has recognized and corrected the problem.
But some countries are not affected by the issue.
I have had to use an external GPS to solve this problem. I dont like... but is a temporal solution
You are not alone

Hi,
I have a Desire HD with the stock everything, and by OTA it got the 2.2 so I can't temp root now(before you ask).
One mail reason I got a smartphone was for my love of using GPS. And all was working well, but recently, since almost last one month now GPS has almost completely stopped working. Sometimes I am able to see a fix of upto 4 satellites in GPS status, but the lock never happens. I have tried:
1) GPS status with reset and fresh AGPS data
2) disabling wifi/mobile data
3) removing battery and doing factory reset
4) Ensuring there is clear sky and keeping my phone stable for upto half an hour
5) Testing with Google maps
I read the gps.conf may be the common culprit but i see that the same NTP server of north-america is being used in my brother's Wildfire and it works perfectly and gets a lock within 10 seconds! So I would say rooting just to change gps.conf may not also help me out.
What else can i check? If possible I would want not to root and if required at all, would want to do a temp root if possible to save my warranty
Please help me guys to get my GPS back on my 2.2 DHD
I have read almost every forum post/article I could find which may help me with my GPS issue but none helped me and it seems more and more people are getting this issue. The last thing I would want is to send my dear phone to service center lest they take weeks to "fix" it.
So I was experimenting with any clue I could get. AND it seems I may have stumbled upon something here!
I THINK HTC Desire HD can boot into a safe mode which would help me find if there might be abackgrund process/app hurting my GPS. So to accomplish this I rebooted my HTC, and while booting up and kept the HOME button pressed till it booted up and showed the unlock screen.
GPS Status too about 5 mins but found 6 satellites and locked!!!
Not believeing what I was seeing, I started google maps, and within 5 seconds it locked on to 10 meter accuracy!!
2 questions now
1) Had I actually booted into safe mode, if not what happened here
2) If this was really about something interfering with my GPS, then which server/app is it? How to investigate?
I went into running services and found these running:
astrid backupservice
jbedvmnorunning service
calendar obexservice
htcsense immediatemodeservice
htcsense dashboardsvc
google cloud to device
google messaging
media
sound sdmsvc
cspeoplesync
google maps networklocation
market alarm
mail easappsync
touch input svc
Other 71 mb in 4, avail 247+241 in 43
I will try to find next day what services are running in regular boot, if gps stops working again
If this works for anybody else too, please comment as then we can try investigate together
Well, it turned out that my GPS working was more of a fluke. Didn't work again after that :'(
Not sure what else to try as I do not wish to take as I am not at all comfortable flashing etc. my phone just to make GPS work
hope this solves your problem

Hey guys,
last week i also thought about open up a thread related to GPS issues on the Gen9 series, because i had some trouble to get a fix as well.
I'm using an Archos 80 G9.

The same with my device at first.
I used the rooted ICS 4.0.5 and GPS Status from the market and started some experiments.
There'd been no response from the GPS part at all.
After some time i used a serial port api tool to directly connect to ttyO0.
Though the GPS part uses some hex protocol i had been able to get a response from the chip, but it was not human readable.
So this way i made sure there's no hardware damage on my UART interface or GPS chipset.
Afterwards i did some hard resets and checked settings of the UART by typing:
Code:
stty -F /dev/ttyO0
I started to run GPS Status again and also deleted my AGPS data by using the tools menu. Then i changed GPS Status setup to stay active and prevent device from sleep.
I took a while, but then the first satellite came in sight, still no fix.
Next day i did the same after some time more and more satellite where seen, but still no fix.
I restarted my device again to boot stock firmware.
Same again... more and more satellites became visible... but then... suddenly a fix. In fact it took very very long and i'm not very satisfied with the situation.
After i re-booted to rooted firmware again i was able to get a fix here as well.
The signal reception is still far from being nice though.
Try to get a fix with stock firmware first, then reboot and check again with rooted firmware.

Should be no problem with this setup.
AFAIK, these three settings address different services.
GPS should be set of course.

Nice thread, but people start to mix things up at some point.
Though the GPS and location service on Android OS is quite mystic, i'll try to concentrate on some facts.
Hardware:
- NL5550 chipset used on Archos Gen9 is up to date and not that bad
(merged into WL1283 chipset, see http://www.murata-ws.com/com7.htm)
- Due to hugh shielding areas, GPS reception is not the best with tablets (if compared to handsets).
- GPS antenna and position of the antenna seems to be problematic
Software:
- Firmware setup changed form HC to ICS
- size of the patch file for the chip had grown in ICS
(mabye they wanted to make thinks better, but they got worse)
So what could be done...
Hardware:
- I started searching for a better antenna to be placed in the housing
(e.g. helical/helix antenna)
- Place a HF-connector on the mainboard to use an external antenna
Software:
- Extract the firmware files from HC and try this setup for ICS
- try to find other devices based on the navilink chipset and compare their firmware setup
Basically GPS works on ICS and things in fact are not related to ICS itself.
Some firmware tweaks might be the cause of these issues.
The basic construcion of the hardware could have some side-effects on this as well.
Some people seem to have no trouble at all, so at least GPS reception is of course little bit depended on the weather and the area you live in.
I may post the HC firmware files here, if you like to try the HC setup on your device.
Cheers,

GPS lib loops
Hi,
I can ONLY get my GPS to lock on if the wifi and location services are enabled and working.
This is because, the gpslib tries to speed up the lock and position information by going out on the internet and firstly fetch the time from the main European ntp server.
Looking at the system logs, it appears to get into an infinite loop waiting for a time update.
Therefore my gps WILL NEVER WORK if actuated with NO wifi.
However..... If I start the GPS application, (I am using mmaps) with the wifi on and the locaation services on I get a good lock, with 10-12 satellites with the Archos INSIDE my house, within a few minutes. (There is nothing wrong with the sensitivity of the GPS engine!)
If I then stop the app and turn off the Wifi and location serves and restart the app it will get a lock in a few seconds and stay working until I power down the Archos.
This is OK apart from the problem that I want to use the Archos in my car with no wifi.
cheers
Patrick

Yes, thanks for pointing at this.
Try to disable automatic time sync in time & date settings menu and check again.
You should definitely get a fix without setting the other location services or having wifi enabled all the time.

big thanks for descriptions!
seems like a complicated science for a simple functionality
my older external sirf 3 receiver need only 5 minutes for sat fix after cold start (very cloudy!) and 10 up to 15 seconds in warm state. i wonder why the archos is much slower.
ok, i will give a new chance an try it again and again and again...and report later.

Assisted GPS !!!!!
Hi,
Unfortunately The Archos uses assisted GPS
I am not allowed to post links yet so see:- the wikipedia entry for assisted GPS
The Archos "might" use the Qualcomm chipset "GPSONE" , I am not sure but a lot of phone makers use it:-
see the wikipedia entry for GPSONE
Like I said in a previous post in the other place, I wish Android tablets were not still so mobile phone centric.
cheers

Archos uses TI NaviLink chipset. GPSONE is Qualcomm only and there's no Qualcomm chip inside our units.
TI NaviLink supports AGPS as well but it does not rely on that.
In other words even without assisted data you'll get a fix... sooner or later
Assisted GPS is always an option to get faster fix.
Did you try again with disabled automatic network time setting?

libgps loops!
Hi Scholbert
Thanks for correction re type of gps chip. Why I thought there was a GPSONE chip in the Archos was because the /etc/gps.conf uses the Qualcomm extra server site , see below.
However I still maintain there is an infinite loop in the ICS (or Archos modded) libgps. I have left the machine on for 8 hours and never got a lock without wifi.
I cannot post the /etc/gps.conf and the log here because I am too noob yet.
Instead have a look at my post here:-

I guess you're right... I made some further tests and must confirm, that i observed the same behaviour. This in fact is really annoying...
The GPS receiver receives satellite information (satellites can be "seen"), but there's no fix without beeing connected to the networks.
This is acceptable. We should contact the Archos developer's, especially user courville who has joined this forum for bug fixing.
He's an employee of Archos and one of the chief developer's, very friendly and helpful as well!

Had a view at this thread and read your posting.
If the described behaviour is compiled in the lib, we can't fix it ourselfs.
Archos needs to fix this problem by tweaking the library.
If it is related to a setup option, we might easily fix it at least on a rooted device using a customized image.
Had anyone tried the 4.0.6. firmware test release yet... maybe GPS got fixed as well.

On 4.0.6 GPS works exactly the same.
Some observations (GPS Test)
-it takes quite a while to aquire lock even with "fresh" aGPS data
-lock is not stable- it likes to dissapear even if I don't move tablet
-catching new sattelites "unlocks" the lock
-accuracy seems poor- GPS Test didn't report anything less than 80 meters (Xperia Arc S in the same spot has <20m)
I get a lock within 10 seconds with my G9 inside my house. The accuracy has gotten down to under 4 meters. On my particular tablet, it works fantastic. I never had to clear AGPS data. I think this is luck of the draw. Some work great, some not.
My ASUS TF101 has all the issues you guys describe. Unreliable and slow. Most people with the TF101 do not have my issue.
My wife's LG Optimus One GPS works great, locks in under 20 seconds and never unlocks. My Samsung Galaxy Ace struggles to get a lock but can maintain it once lock is achieved.
All these devices are running different Android versions so I agree that it is not a software issue. I tend to believe it is the fact some get better build quality antennas than others making some of the same devices work better than their twins.
i have tested copilot on 3 different archos G9 80s. All have gotten a lock in my house. I have tested one while driving to work and it maintains the lock.
anybody want an archos 101g9 ?????
hi,
i'm back here after testing my 101 and i'm not really lucky
thanks to all here first. i pursued the discussion with interest.
my archos did not work with gps at all!. i checked with gpstest and gps status apps indoor and outdoor several hours/days. no satellites found! nothing, zeroooooooooooo. clear sky, no clouds and NO satellites. i'm alone in the universe
what i did:
- device cold start (many times)
- switching on/off date and time from ntp server
- wifi on/off
- google location service on/off
no idea what happen. this is not my first archos. my older g8 had broken usb ports and was changed 2 times. the g9 freezes very often in cpu state "hotplug", run stable only with half speed and gps don't work. why gps need an internet connection?? i have no 3g stick in my tablet and no wifi in my car. yes, i can connect my phone with wifi tethering but sorry, that's not what i have planned. puuh archos, what do you think what customers tolerate. i love android, but the next tablet should be better an ipad
seems, there is a defect. how can i check my hardware before i put it in the trash?
thanks,
4carlos
by the way, my htc legend with froyo works great. it beams my to every point i wish!
Sorry to hear all you guys are having such problems with gps lock.
I have an original 8gb 9g classic. I have taken it through Honeycomb and up to the last ICS update. I have rooted it, over-clocked it and it has taken everything that I have thrown at it!
In every case, the gps has been first class. Using gpsstatus from the market, it locks on to 9 sats from inside my house within 30 seconds.
It was originally set to europe.pool in the gps.cfg file and I got a good lock with that. When I changed to rooted custom fw, I downloaded fasterfix from the market and used it to change the gps.cfg to uk.pool. This speeded up the lock and increased the number of sats to 11.
One thing that may help, has anyone tried toggling airplane mode on then off again. Whenever I install a new rom, on phone or tablet, I reboot the system at
least twice after setup and then toggle airplane on/off. This was an instruction in some roms that had wifi issues and I now do it as a matter of course.
It may be worth a try.
I use Co pilot live as satnav and it has never failed to lock on within seconds of being set up.
GPS on G9 still behaves strange...
First of all, thanks for posting your observations.
The GPS issue remains little mystic though

I just got a fix within a minute, yesterday it was a no go!
The device actually needed a reboot before. What is responsible for this locking???
I got the fix by...
- deleting the AGPS data in the settings menu of GPStool
- setting the data update interval to never
- unchecked set system time from server in the device settings
- Wifi and 3G were disabled as well
So it's possible to get satelite fix without network connection.
But something may lock the interface. Afterwards it seems to be impossible to get a fix again... at least things get worse.
BTW, GPStool and the AGPS "framework" of the G9 use definitely different data bases for the assisted data. Maybe this causes locks as well...
So from what i can tell... disabling the AGPS function in GPStool definitely helped to get a fix.

Maybe it's worth a try but maybe it won't help anything.
As far as i can tell, a reboot certainly fixes some kind of lock on the interface.
But as long as we always guess there will be no improvement, nor we'll find the real reason for the missbehaviour.

i guess :
GPS Status & Toolbox (author EclipSim, can delete agps data)
also nice
GPS Test (author Chartcross Limited)
GPS Status (author espresso3389, nice graphical tool but only portrait mode)
btw.
upgrade to firmware 4.06 (fix for increasing gps stability) did not help in my case. only my problem has more stability now. still no satellites in sight. my htc legend shows a minimum of 5 satellites with the tools from above at my location (indoor) but still nothing with my archos. disappointing.
the better way is to check the gps functionality before rooting the tablet (loosing guarantee!). seems a weak point of tablet.
i'm searching for an external bt mouse. any recommendation? the mouse should be bought in germany.
Brand new Huawei P6 ... GPS horrible!!! .. takes ages to lock on, and then when it does [sometimes] cannot use NAV for any reliable length of time as GPS drops out and stays out .... oh, some times it might come back on again .. but long after the waypoint has been passed making the navigation service completely useless ....
Have upgraded to B111 via the GUI on the phone. Android 4.2.2 but ... no joy.
I have been trying to find a reason .. thought maybe it was app related and that myabe gmaps or nav contributing to the issue ... so installed some GPS helper apps to try and troubleshoot the issue, but they seem to be affected by the same problem ...
I am annoyed and frustrated as i rely heavily on GPS ... the Ascend G600 i had previously worked flawlessly!!!
Has anybody got any clues on this ... :crying:
Try TopNTP. Play around with the settings. One of them might speed up lock on tremendously.
My fastest lock on was 7 seconds, even with GPS cold start. Inside my apartment!

Thnx for the suggestion UpUp ... but unfort no joy either with TopNTP.
So did a factory reset and first up Google Maps Navigation finds my location and draws the route to destination .. even get a voice announcement to send me on my journey ... BUT from that point on the GPS icon continually flashes with a notification "Searching for GPS ..." that continues ad infinitum with the map locked on my initial position ... suddenly it might jump to some totally inaccurate location ... and then finally the voice announces Lost GPS Connection ...
However, on one occassion .. after 'searching for location' for about 15 mins .. all of a sudden my location is pinned as accurate and the navigation went along smoothly for about 3 klm ... then "Lost GPS Connection" again ... never to return!!
I have tried TopNTP, GPS Status & Fix, GPS Fix, Essential GPS ecc ... but no joy!!
I cannot believe just how crappy the Google Maps Navigation is on this highly regarded HUAWEI phone is!!!
Surely i cant be the ONLY one with this gripe??? But at this stage i can find very little on the net about it ... very frustrating!!
PS: At one stage i got GPS Status & Fix to lock on in smart time 7 seconds with maybe 6 out of 9 sats .. but then when i loaded Google Maps Navigation, even GPS Status & Fix could no longer get a fix!!!
Does anybody know if there is an issue with the software Google Maps Navigation????
Help IS neeeeded .. thnx!
Mmm... wonder if your P6's GPS is defective. You should get service since it's new.
I read a lot about slow lock-on, but it is a common complaint on most brand names. Nothing can't be remedied by TopNTP or GPS Fix.

Okay .. fair call .. i was starting to think the same way due to lack of similar cases returned via Google search.
Spoke to their local service centre ... after describing the issue was promptly told to return the phone for servicing, even though i pressed for a firmware upgrade! Even though they would not admit it, sounds like they believed it to be a hardware issue.
So have to wait 2-3 days for an email to arrange pickup instructions .. then 2-3 weeks for resolution!!! But i have no option, save throw it in the bin and try another brand/model ... obviously at my expense! .. wtf ... will just have to be patient.
Will advise on outcome.
Thnx
This is what I did,
go to dialer, press
*#*#2846579159#*#* then go to item5, background setting, next to AGPS settings, change the positioning method to autonomous, on service location, change to supl.google.com. This will speed up the GPS lock. I am using ASIA phone, not sure if your firmware is similar. Good luck.

Alternatively, if your phone is rooted, you can replace the gps.conf file under the System\etc\ with the one I am using now.
I actually got it from the LG Flex and played around with it. It works perfactly. When you have Internet on, it fix the SAT really quick.
You need the Root Explorer to change the permission to overwrite or delete.

Can I use this on Europe version of the phone?
Edit: OK, I answer myself. The posted gps.conf file works great on my phone (EU/CZ) and at the moment I get fix in a few seconds.
Hey all,
So I've been working on this for quite some hours now for two nights, but I'm done for and hope someone can give me clarity:
HTC One m9, running stock, latest update VDF Germany, Android 6.0.
Problem occured last week. I was using the phone quite extensively (yeah, tbh I was playing Pokemon Go... like a lot). With it being constantly on wifi/4g/GPS and all, charging it all the time, the battery also became quite warm.... And then while walking about it crashed and rebooted. I never had such a crash before tbh. After Reboot HTC Error Report even popped up and I also sent it. Then I found that the Bluetooth and Wifi Connections were off, which I usually both have activated all the time. And now I cannot turn them on anymore. No matter which shortcut is used. Wifi displays "error" after some minutes, while BT is just greyed out after triggering. Wifi Mac is showing with a 02:00:00:00:00 now as well.
So I did my research and performed quite some things, trying to get it fixed, because I am still not sure wether this is a Hardware or Software issue. A lot of people reported the issue at least for the wifi part. Less people reported it for both, wifi and BT, but I would guess that not too many people use BT regularly anyway. I found one person mentioning, that if both is not working it is most probably a hardware related issue. Which was my first thought exactly, thinking it overheated, something had gone loose internally and now the antenna is killed or at least not connected anymore.
As for the physical methods, I only tried the "whacking the back part of the device"-technique, which did not do anything. I haven't gone through "freezer" or "hair dryer" yet....
Some people were able to fix it via draining the battery and then restarting and draining again and what not.. but that all sounded weird to me.
I am still hoping it is software related so I went:
- Wifi Fix and Rescue App
- Unlock
- TWRP
- Root
- Reflashing stock
- numerous factory and network settings resets
Because I read about the /persist partition or folder and that it should contain wifi or mac address related info. Some guy had simply deleted those files and they were recreated upon reboot. But those files are not existing in my /persist folder (checked via Root Explorer - got the paid version) and I have Root - as stated above. Still that folder only lists:
\data
\display
\hlos_rfs
\lost+found
\rfs
\tee
I found a thread in google's cache of someone on how to recreate or fix that folder and contents, based on a nexus 5 however and that is probably not working on the HTC one m9 I was presuming.
So, what do you guys think?
Is there any way to get the wifi back to work? Would you say it even might be software related, looking at the persist partition/folder contents? Or am I totally wrong and the fact that BT AND Wifi are not working, rules everything else out and only leaves a Hardware Issue?
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this.
Thanks in advance!
- Arne
I'd bet a bollock its the hardware popped. Bluetooth and wifi are on the same board, probably the same rf chip. A local phone repair shop should ve able to fix it seeing as it's out of warranty.
Beamed in by telepathy.
I found a new rom for the XZ1 Compact.
Until now only a few regions are available. Probably the June patch.

Yep. None for Customized DE just yet.
It also comes a little bit late. Am I right?
The xz1c was released on 7.31.17 and I wonder if we will get more security updates after the two years after the release date.
Flash this yesterday using the FTF found here: https://xperiafirmware.com/sony-xperia-xz1-compact/
Can't really see any difference so far, but also no issues with it
Seems to have improved GPS performance on my end. Connection is still a bit weak, but it catches more satellites and doesn't lose tracking suddenly.
The GPS bug is still there and things have gotten even worse. I use a lot of GPS (Waze) and during the weekend I experienced that three times... I just dont get it how Sony cannot resolve that issue (((

I came across this problem on my XZ1c, but I found a fix.
Go into airplane mode and make sure GPS is disabled.
Settings\Apps & notifications\App info - find Maps
Force stop - Storage - Clear cache - Clear data
Restart phone
Enable GPS, airplane mode off.
If that doesn't work use the following service settings number to go in the gps settings :
on your phone keypad dial *#*#7378423#*#*
Go into service tests, select gps then purge test data
reboot

what GPS bug is this? I can't say that I've noticed anything off when using Google Maps for directions.

Usually it happens when I finish using Waze or Google Maps (or any GPS driving app) and after a while I start it again and then it just does not find any satellites. Sometimes after a few minutes its back but sometimes even an hour waiting does not help nor restart nor anything you can think of. And of course it usually happens when you are in hurry It really p....s me off when thing does not work as they should be, especially when you have no time to waist
Well, everything worked fine couple of days and then I started losing GPS again. Seems that purging test data from service menu is the best solution for this bug, sometimes I dont even have to reboot. Still that is very annoying and one more reason not to buy Sony anymore... zero customer support, all this nonsense preventing people to root their phone, bug after bug that dont get fixed etc. They just don't care about anything after you've made your purchase. I've been loyal customer with 3 different phones for 7 years but seems that current XZ1c is the last phone for me that bears the Sony label. Shame on you Sony.

Has anyone experienced loosing GPS signal after a 1-2-3 hours of Google Maps ? It may be like the device is overheating. GPS is back usually after resetting.
